Do you have to press bottons to get in dive mode each time you are going to get down into the water or just one time at the begining of the dive session?
You just press the dive setting once using the left button. Once it's active it will stay in the dive mode. If you're on the surface for 20+ I believe it switches back to the normal time and date setting
I've just received mine and like to do night diving in darker waters. My light function seems to only stay on for a second each time I click. Is there a way to keep the light on?
Nice review. But I ordered this because I thought it would be more legible than my old Salvimar One, but the characters actually are more squished. Only thing i have trouble reading is the "max depth", "dive time" descriptions in dive mode, but I can probably memorize them. Max depth is always on the left, dive time always on the right. But the One/OnePlus has a slightly wider dial.
Hello and thanks for the comment! Unfortunetly i cannot compare the two as I have only had my hands on the Freediving one. For me it works just fine. Maybe you will have to go back to the older one if thats what works best for you. Have a good evening :)
@@TheOutdoor_Guy The new one looks cool, and i like it esthetically. Also a design flaw is that the glass is flush with the bezel, that makes it very prone to scratches. Not being round there are no temperate glass screen protectors available. But I put a piece of Gorilla tape on the glass for protection. The Deeper has better buttons, better, longer strap.
hi!! @stefpix , im going to buy my first watch and looking at these two options actually, I would say im and amateur spearfisher, but never used a apnea watch and want to start getting better at it, from your experience with watch would you choose better?. they're almost at the same price range. so its more about functionality, ergonomics,. thanks!
@@javierarevalo9701 I sold the Salvimar Deeper. It has smaller type than the Salvimar One / One Plus at the bottom. Not de digits, but the letters that say max dept, dive time etc. They should be more legible. Now I use the SEAC Driver (which was about $120, but in the last year went up in price, at least in the USA, where spearfishing gear is often much more expensive than in Europe). I still have the Salvimar One, it looks nicer. Changing the battery on the Salvimar is a pain, as you have to remove one strap, so you need some watch tools. The SEAC battery replacement is easy. The Cressi Nepto is a great option, but I returned it, because it shows the temperature only after you dive. The Seac and the Salvimar show temperature also on land. If that is not a big issue for you, the Cressi Nepto is very legible. I rinse my watch every time in fresh water. I always carry an analog watch on the other hand, a Citizen Eco Drive, to see how long I am in the water, what time it is at a glance, or if the battery of the other watch dies. You could get a Casio Duro as a cheaper analog option or some basic G Shock. Solar is a great option.

Thanks for the video. Does the watch have a live depth gauge so you can just look at watch so see current depth or is it only the depth alarms and dive report once at surface? T
Thank you very much for the comment now you say it I can’t remember off the top of my head I don’t wanna say the wrong thing so the next time I use it I’ll test it out and get back to you with the answer. I’ve had an ear infection and haven’t been in quite a while.
Once you switch it to dive mode and you start the decent underwater it will automatically start doing everything for you. The depth alarm will make a noice everytime you go past your previous depth and to set the depth alarm you need to cycle through the settings
Hi, First you go to "Dive" mode by pressing the "Mode" button One time and press the "Reset/Stop" button for 5 seconds then you can set m/°C or f/°F, Depth alarm, Dive time alarm. Good luck and Dive safe!!

Unfortunately not, it's the only downside to the watch

Is there a way to reset the watch into factory settings?
I'm not too sure about this. It may be worth looking up on their website
Which one you advice? Salvimar deeper or one plus ? Thanks
It's up to you, personally i have never used the one plus. Ive had the Deeper for nearly two years now and its a fantastic watch. No issues with it
I would suggest 31 mm screen protectors. I use them on mine and they keep the lens nice and new

That's a good question i don't have one myself. It may be worth sending Salvimar customer support and email.
Dose the watch record the depth and down time for every dive ?
Yes it does
the battery can be replaced by the user?

Yes, as soon as you re-surface from a dive, the “surface time” timer will start 👍

Yes
