Get you a cheap little wood duck call and kick that water. You’ll have em light all over top of you. Ain’t no shame in shooting them on the water👊
No disrespect but a wood duck is going to go where it wants and in most cases that to a good source. So a call wouldn’t help.
My dad never believed me but when I used mine they were on me like butter on waffles

They eat just the same.
Like they said, a call, a couple of dekes, a spinner and kick the water and you are in business. Call me a purist but a couple of ducks waterswatted is not a hunt. You can do better.
