For custom placing windows, you can also delete the wall blocks on the opposite side of the window. Then use that cube tool to fill in that side as well. This helps keep the window frame the same on both sides. This also works foe moving windows/doors in the vertical plane. I have even placed doors at a 45 degree angle, but with limited success. The doors don't like to function in that situation. For aesthetics alone, this can look pretty good, but it is finicky.
I haven't tried much with making diagonal walls, etc, but I do know that they know we want that as a real feature and I think they're planning on it for the future!
One thing I wish they would incorporate in Sandbox mode is a night mode. I would love to see what night/evening lighting effects we could come up with.
@@buildingwithbeckyYT I just found out another tip while messing around, if you extend the island map and then press tab and go to property settings and change the environment to a different one, it will maintain the size that you set on the island therefore allowing you to freely walk and build in otherwise inaccessible areas :)) enjoy
Hiya! I've just discovered your channel and I love your content 🥰 I think it would be really helpful if you organised some of your videos into playlists to make it easier to find videos of the same theme. Now I'm off to binge your house flipper 2 videos hehe
Here’s my tip…..if you want bizarre and wacky colored houses watch videos by girls…… if you want the most beautiful custom built homes from the ground up with realistic and amazing interiors watch videos made by men. Almost every video You seen by girls claiming to be house builds is them adding circus style colors to a prebuilt house.
A good one that i used for water was the chrome surface, looks amazing with the surrounding reflections
Oooh, I will have to test that out!

You can change the time in sandbox mode! That option is in the property settings.
A tip that I recently stumbled on while messing around was that the island map boarders can be extended infinitely, using it to design a huge town 😀
Lol! Sounds like it could get laggy 😅

Hi! Thank you so much!!🙂 Making playlists is definitely something that I've been meaning to do - I will try to soon!
A png in a glass element is a cool idea. I think I am going to use that in my current project. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! What's your current project? :)
thank you
You're welcome!
You can use JPEGs not just PNG.
@@ericdraven7185 the PNG feature was new at the time of this video :)
