retail sales for persian/orientalist rugs has a pretty facade covering up slave labor .

Prove me wrong instead of deflecting . what percentage do the weavers get compared to the retail selling price . it's a low enough percentage to be considered slave wages .

Now you say "slave wages", which are you claiming it to be? Don't bother to answer. Nobody is claiming ignorance of the supply chain to bring the product to market from its source.

The supply chain has zero to do with paying the weavers a better wage . it is greed that is the main obstacle . An all woman co op is an effective tool to increase wages to the artists and decrease the profits of the numerous middlemen . Are you willing to support such a structure in support of the people that create these beautiful works of art or are you going sit in your comfortable surroundings and count your profits . rhetorical question .
