I miss the stadium so much and will never forget the memories I had there when I was a youngster traveling from Chicago to root my beloved Cardinals on with my parents❤️❤️❤️

It sucks that it's gone because...it was such a unique stadium, I mean it fit the city perfectly because of the arches around the top...right next to that beautiful Gateway Arch. I hate that it's gone.

I'm only 34 and remember the old bush stadium, went to a couple games with my mom, when I was little.

So many good memories from Old Busch stadium. Seeing Ozzie do the backflip on opening day, and watching players I loved like Willie McGee and Jose Oquendo. I loved that old stadium. My Mom took me to my first game when I was 8, She called me off sick from school to take me to the game. It was the 86 season and the Cards were playing the Braves.

Busch Stadium 2 was never called busch 2 until about 5 years ago. Some local huckleberry's came up with that. And Sportsmans was never called Busch even after it was renamed.
    Ballpark Village my eye.

I remember playing Football against Desmet HS in the Old Busch Stadium, we used to joke around and state that was the only time Football was ever played on it's Football field

Interesting, barely a mention of the St. Louis Football Cardinals who played (and sucked) there for over 20 years. When I grew up, this was considered the 'new' stadium. And though often derided as being one of the 'cookie-cutter' multi-use stadiums built in America during the 1960s, the incorporation of the Arch motif throughout the crown of upper deck, and its location right downtown along the river, made this a grand place to watch a ballgame. Oh yeah, the Beatles played there, too,

I know they had many losing seasons BUT I'll always fondly remember those 1974 and '75 teams that made the playoffs and then suffered those bitter defeats. Also in the last year I remember the huge comeback Niel Lomax engineered to beat dallas. Also the great 38-0 win over Dallas on Monday Night Football in 1970...yep, I am old!

I really miss the old Busch Stadium!...It should have been left alone....So I guess they'll be ready to take the Arch down soon and turn it into a giant pretzel or something!...What a shame!...That place was sooooo grand and gothic and incredible!..Havent been to the new one since I live in Las Vegas now...but from here it looks like a giant doggy mat in the middle of the city!...Amen.

Yes they could have left the Busch Stadium too there and they could have moved out to Fenton Missouri and built a new stadium there

Oh don't worry they'll be a Bush Stadium for within the next 15 years

Nobody ever called the Busch Stadium that was demolished Busch 2 or Sportsmans Park " Busch 1". That was just something St. Louis people did to feel good about counting to 3.

Jams, Don't take me so serious. I grew up a Yankees fan in NY and my dad is from St. Louis. So I am a closet cards fan. I just can't believe the fans buy everything the owners say. They need to wake up and realize the owners don't care about the fans and $10 beers. As long as the fans keep filling the seats with horrible teams, nothing will change. Is time for a new manager and fresh look. If something is not done in the next year, you might see Pujols in Pinstripes or at the green monster.

Fan friendly, what the heck does that really mean. I guess than means that fans will pay $9 for a hot dog and enjoy it. Or the fans are so friendly that they will beleive the fairy tail of the great ballpark village or anything that Bill Dimwitt tells them. By the way the new Busch is not even the nicest park in Missouri, go check out and see what they have done to the park in Kansas City for half the price of the new Busch. Kaufmann is better.
