- Shabbir Ahmed is a former Pakistani national cricketer, who was quite famous in his time. He is from Khanewal and Shabbir’s father was also an athlete. Shabbir was always interested in sports, especially cricket just like his rest of the family. He got better and better in cricket and decided to pursue it as a career, with his father’s support. He seems to a very humble & down to earth guy. A Punjabi after all 😀. He was a genuinely fast bowler, who would extract bounce from lifeless subcontinental pitches.Perfect example of genuine talent going waste. He was banned for an year or so go illegal bowling action if I am not wrong. He never played for Pakistan again.
