How long ago was it that you planted the snaps? One thing that might be preventing them from growing is if they got a little bit root bound. It will take them a couple weeks to start growing again. They've basically been told "you can't grow anymore, your roots don't have anywhere to go" & they have to realize now- "hey I have room to grow now" even if they didn't get root bound, sometimes they just get shocked by their roots getting jostled around... and they'll tale a few weeks to rebound.
I planted them in the ground the beginning of February I believe. I hope they're just shocked and will realize that they can grow more but the soil is pretty tough where they are at. I really think the others will do better because they'll go in soil that's been broken up and had more ammendment. 🤞
I'm a new subscriber binge watching your videos. I'm learning a lot bc finally I've got a flower farmer in my area lol. You've answered so many questions I've had. I'm learning with you 😉 I now have confidence growing tulips and daffodils. I love that you share from beginning to end and with lots of helpful details in your videos. Keep them coming!
Didn't get my floret order I in before the stuff I wanted sold out! Maybe next year. I have my own snapdragons going, but found mine are sprouting new growth outside they overwintered my canda winter. Now what to do with these seedlings hahahah.
My advise would be to google last frost date via zip code and then adjust from there. :) Garden Answer just started her Aster as well and she's in Oregon. I'm not sure what zone she's in.

So glad you were able to over winter them! That's awesome. Yep, floret sells out sooo fast! 😳
Starting seeds is so fun☺️. I’ve never tried Asters but wow they are gorgeous!!!!😍
It is so much fun to start seeds!! ☺
Now that it is months later how were the asters? I had some small.ones.that were.very nice but would love to grow the big ones next year
Mine ended up being very short but pretty. I was told that they need to be pinched in early June to produce long stems.
@@45jessiemad Thanks for the information. I’m growing asters for the first time. I’m just a home gardener.
Do your trays have drainage?
They do not. I keep a close eye and do not over water.
What zone are you in, what state?
Zone 8B, Louisiana! I'm located in Ruston, Louisiana which is the central north part of the state.
@@45jessiemad just wondering how I would adjust planting times I'm in SE Michigan, zone 6, do I wait till April?

@@45jessiemad she is in 6a.
