How long ago was it that you planted the snaps? One thing that might be preventing them from growing is if they got a little bit root bound. It will take them a couple weeks to start growing again. They've basically been told "you can't grow anymore, your roots don't have anywhere to go" & they have to realize now- "hey I have room to grow now" even if they didn't get root bound, sometimes they just get shocked by their roots getting jostled around... and they'll tale a few weeks to rebound.

I planted them in the ground the beginning of February I believe. I hope they're just shocked and will realize that they can grow more but the soil is pretty tough where they are at. I really think the others will do better because they'll go in soil that's been broken up and had more ammendment. 🤞

Mine ended up being very short but pretty. I was told that they need to be pinched in early June to produce long stems.

@@45jessiemad just wondering how I would adjust planting times I'm in SE Michigan, zone 6, do I wait till April?

My advise would be to google last frost date via zip code and then adjust from there. :) Garden Answer just started her Aster as well and she's in Oregon. I'm not sure what zone she's in.
