Can we have the scene displayed on a regular browser? like to show within a website or blog. (without a VR device like Oculus) Can we host the generated metaverse on our own webserver, like any other website/webapplication?
Hey @J33T10! Since Wonderland Engine 1.0.0, you need to install the files via a command: npm install --save wle-peerjs-networking The files should then appear in the editor.
Yes, the output of Wonderland Engine is a set of HTML, JS, CSS and WASM files, which can be uploaded to any static webserver. If it doesn't work out-of-the-box, make sure to configure the MIME-Type for WASM correctly.
@@WonderlandEngine i understand but if different from the metaverse with FB or other metaverse in general how it will be beneficial to all? this will be like a multiple platform.
@@omoklamok Correct, the web is an open platform that is loosely connected through links. You can have your own server and provide a room or world to visit for users, then link them to other users. Just like websites!
You probably can, yes. You might need to adapt the royalties for selling and reselling accordingly for the Wonderland Engine license. Drop by the Discord Server for more info! discord.gg/FE8QnDP
@@WonderlandEngine i would be quite keen on doing something like this. Would you be keen to possibly create a demo for a combat game with this type of structure?
Hey GoTocco, sorry about that, this video is meant as a demonstration, not a tutorial. You can find the full 45 Minute Workshop at GlobalXRConference which is summarized here over on their channel!
This is not “a meta-verse” Just like tossing a bit of HTML together to make a crappy little website is not “an Internet” Anyone who cannot grasp the simple concept, has already been left behind.
Metaverse is by far not a simple to grasp concept and the definition is maybe even still in flux. But, yes, the video surfs a hype wave, "Building a Metaverse" is probably like claiming to be "Building an Internet" instead of a Website.
3D graphics for the browser is quite a bit different from native, which is probably also why Unreal Engine no longer officially supports HTML5 exports. It poses some technical challenges that Wonderland Engine solves. While Wonderland Engine is primarily a development platform for VR, AR and 3D on the web, the Metaverse is seen as the "spatial internet" (although still a very diffuse term), hence you can build for/in/into the Metaverse with Wonderland Engine.
Best Metaverse Engine...im having fun with it
Wonderful, glad you are!

Hi Kirraak! Yes, the result of this video works in Desktop browsers and Android browsers, too. The files can be deployed to your own Webserver.

The metaverse 🥽 is the future!
Thanks for this Amazing Tutorial.
Sir thank you so much, can I use it on my projects ?
For the models, check on Sketchfab. For the code, yes definitely!
Thank you sir, you are the best@@WonderlandEngine
Good one!!!
It is epic!!! ❤️
How can we arrange moderators when hosting ?
If that is sharp? Please put that in a disclaimer. Thank you for this video and I will be giving Wonderland a go.
What is sharp? Glad you enjoyed the video! Hop on the Discord, happy to help you get started.
when I am copying the js files it is showing error! please help me

What about importing .obj file just like Unity or UE
.obj files should work usually, but is less stable than .gltf/.glb/.fbx. Let us know on the Discord, if you find a file that crashes!
Is there a way to have voice communication when hosted?
This already has voice chat set up, you just need to check the right box on the component to enable it!
Can i publish this in an ordinary host like hostinger?

Hi I wonder where I can get the pre-prepared materials to follow along with the video :)
Included on description as workshop materials.
when you say metaverse is this link to The Meta versse of FB?
Hi! Metaverse here refers to the generic Metaverse term, not associated with facebook. Just a multi-user virtual environment.

You can probably use the same "wle-networking" project, it supports custom events, if you need to synchronize additional data!

So this is pretty much a shitty unreal engine that has the word metaverse on top
