Saw these guys a bunch of times between 1984 and 1992. Always the same show, but always the same GREAT show. Joey lived a few blocks away from me in the East Village and I ran into him on the streets a handful of times. He was always incredibly friendly and humble. He's definitely missed.

My mother was 19 years old and 8 months pregnant with me, she told me she stood next to a speaker and had the best time, I love her so much♥️and I truly appreciate how she instilled the love of music into me, I was raised on punk rock ♥️ amazing to be able to see my first concert experience - 33 years later. I love The Ramones 🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Seeing The Ramones live was a special treat.....20 songs in a very short period of time.....a long song was 2 minutes and four seconds.....true Punk Rockers.....
It was at 119 East 11th Street. The Ritz moved to the site of the Studio 54 on 254 West 54th Street in the late 80's and continued to host concerts for several years

Totally, 100%. CJ totally revitalized the man and brought the energy back to the band. Everyone seemed a little bored before CJ came. Dee Dee was just standing on stage like a zombie half of the time during the last year or two... so CJ was a drastic improvement. They suddenly had a 25 year old Dee Dee again. Plus, Dee Dee was still writing songs for them...so they got the best of both worlds out of the deal. Plus, since CJ was so energetic, Johnny had to work harder to keep up with him. It was a cool time. Damn, I miss those guys.

I was there - John Scher (or how ever you spell it- was the producer/ promoter with Ron Delsener and Jerry Brandt for many of the Ritz concerts ) and my friend Joel's uncle owned the Ritz so we went to the club almost every weekend. Parked right infront of roped off area infront of Club. I was only like 16 or 17- but I got to hang out with Joey Ramone and Johnny and Dee Dee and Tommy all hanging in the VIP green room at the Ritz. Joey was so wasted but I asked him for his autograph and he signed a Ritz matchbook for me. His hands were so huge I remember when he shook mine and he could barely stand up. He was so tall! ( 6foot six! ) And his hair covering most of his eyes- I thought it was nutz! How can he see anything I thought- Dammm... I barely understood him when we talked- his strange garbled like accent deep and drunkenness even deeper! What a great time! Rock Rock Rock away beach! Rock rock! Great night and great concert! FYI - "The Ramones were inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2007"

I remember this show. I'm pretty sure Warzone and GBH opened. We were standing under the balcony and watched some punks from NJ (Barmy Army?) get a sick beating by some crew from NYC. Violent AF.
Saw them in late 70 s and again at the final tour in 96. Preferred the late 70 s live show before everything sped up.. That was bossman Johnny's decision to become the Dickies 😄

Was there also, also met Joey upstairs strung out and downtown Julie Brown was at the table next to me all night while we shot spitballs at her.
