I don't think the lie was that the planets themselves would reach their end... I think the lie was that Izumo kept telling itself that the invaders, the thousands of kami, the Yaoyorozu, descended upon their land to simply invade and kill... rather, I think it was that they were seeking a way to survive with what little time they had left. I think that Takamagahara, the land of the divine gods, was circling ever closer than Izumo to being absorbed into the black hole, so when they invaded, the humans assumed that the kami were evil. It was this first blood assumption that forged the lie of the us VS them mentality of the residents of Izumo. The lie was that with each passing life from Izumo, Takamagahara would lay claim to its right of occupancy. When It was just down to Acheron to fight for her right to exist, she slew literally everything in her path without reconciling the difference between a neighboring planet's destruction and her own right to continue the legacy of Izumo. When she was the sole survivor left standing, what would Izumo's continuation even equate to but a place of desolation and despair? She could have easily just let the kami win so that their species could at least exist, but in the end, she slew everything for the sake of the unwashable blood debt that she can never repay because everyone she ever loved no longer is alive to appreciate the closure. It is in this final action that she condemns both planets to erasure by ultimately forging the Naught blade that causes the black hole to go unstable and wipe out both planets, ultimately making the war for survival pointless. Those she fought for did not survive, and those she fought against killed everyone and ultimately gained nothing. I would call it a pryrrhic victory, but that would assert the idea that both sides won equally when in reality both side lost everything and made their entire existence mean nothing, hence nihility. People wanted Acheron to be Finality, but Finality asserts the idea that there is a clear resolution where something dictates that there is an end. In Acheron's case, she seemingly gave in to accepting that there was no end at all because there would be nobody to cherish a budding result in the end. Ironically, the story wasn't even a zero-sum game in the end because Izumo didn't gain anything by Takamagahara's loss, and Takamagahara didn't gain anything from Izumo's loss. It was as if the game was rigged from the start and that the sum would never be more than zero.
THIS is the EXPLANATION that everyone deserve to read! So many players during 2.0 are all thought Acheron being emanator of Nihility rather than Finality would be very boring but after her trailer in Myriad Celestial, everything are all make sense now!
Honestly after Acheron embraced Nihility I can only imagine what happened after she left Izumo, poor black swan just wanted to know if she could cook or not
Maybe "The End" acheron was fighting might not be a Kiana variant but a Kevin variant cuz the JP VA of the narrator for the trailer is the same one as Kevin. Also wut if the reason why Acheron is in penacony is because what if she's looking for the watchmaker? Both Frebass and the watchmaker are nameless, and what if they personally knew each other in the past and maybe he also knows acheron. So she's looking for him and she's probably gonna ask him what's her past like in order to remember the past again, maybe that's the reason why shes in penacony
probably what like kevin wants, get the watchmaker for herself and use it to reverse time on her planet and start anew, just like how hi3 did with fuhua restarting civilization
Going to confirm this with the new Acheron trailer where she looks at the TV screen that features her in kimono telling her to find her, Acheron's End which is also "Her" Origin
1. Truth ( Herrscher of Reason) 2. Sky ( Herrscher of Void) 3. Howl (Herrscher of Thunder) 4. Mist (Herrscher of Wind) 5. Frost (Herrscher of Ice) 6. Fate (Herrscher of Death) 7. Flare (Herrscher of Fire) 8. Thought (Herrscher of Consciousness) 9. Root (Herrscher of Earth) 10. Form (Herrscher of Domination) 11. Bind (Herrscher of Binding) 12. Maw (Herrscher of Corruption) 13. Origin (Herrscher of Origin) 14. End (Herrscher of Finality)
Finally! Acheron's lore finally makes sense and gives a clear picture. Mine was almost the same, but I lacked real context as I didn't know that her world orbited a black hole. That Takamagahara was another planet, not a pocket realm or parallel dimension to Izumo like I speculated. Suddenly this makes alot more sense. Thank you for the video.
@@stormyenglish_23 Because she is the chosen one, the one who will be emanator of nihility. From IX’s POV, there is like zero reason to just kill her right off the bat so she probably get spared by IX like other reply suggested.
@@illusionarieee Not sure spared so much as let herself walk out. If Nihilty or IX is pretty much aloof or rather in constant sadness and wallows in the meaningless of all things, then I can imagine Acheron was able to survive and walked out of the depths. Doing this action as proof of her emanator status that she not only has survived, but is able to utilize the power of IX itself. And since the Nihility doesnt really care one or another she can tap into Nihility freely dependant on how much of herself she can remain human. Both in mind and form. This is how I can imagine she killed Duke. An immortal energy lifeform like a heliobus. He was not stronger than Acheron in will and just overall the raw power of Nihility.
The Swords being made from the Sovereigns is parallel to the 12 Divine Keys being forged from 12 Herscher Cores. Also you can hear the melody from Raiden Mei’s short animation, Lament of the Fallen (Honkai World Diva) in the video. The Male voice actor that narrates in Chinese and Japanese is none other than the VA’s for Kevin Kaslana.
For those who don't dont played hi3 ,they used KEVIN'S VA for narration in both JP and CN. Kevin is the main male antagonist in hi3 part 1 of kiana arc.
Hi3 will always hold a special place in my heart! I love Genshin and am starting HSR but Hi3 somehow hits different and hits the emotional side deeper.
the acheron we saw on a dream when we're still on the journey to penacony was acheron from the future. after becoming the emanator of nihillity, she probably gained some powers related to black hole. she could be using the tesseract(4D space) inside a blackhole to travel in time and guide us in the dream just before we arrive in penacony. just like in the movie interstellar when cooper is able to communicate with his daughter in the past while inside the tesseract after falling to a blackhole
Btw, the tesseract isn't actually a thing that would be inside a blackhole (at least not that we know of), its created only as a plot device for interstellar, which the blackhole itself is an artificial one made by human in the future.
That's an interpretation of Japanese mythology done incredibly well. In mythological accounts of Japan there was a time where Kami started to go on mainland from their place of birth. Some was birth by Izanami and Izanagi in various ways and descended from the heavens and some had spontaneously birthed from the land itself (usually from natural phenomena). So there was a division from kami from the Land and Kami from the Heavens. Now the land of Kami in heaven was called "Takamagahara" (rings a bell?) and while the kami on land was about everywhere there was a place more important and "organized" than others, and at this point you may got the name, Izumo it is. There was a sort of struggle between the kami from the land and the kami from the heavens and at certain point there was made peace/accord between kamis. This is reflected also in some quasi-historical accounts (basically something like that happened and was mythologized later) when the people of Izumo was submitted by the Yamato people. I'm not going to tell here the legends of the two main warrior/chieftains of the time known as Izumo Takeru and Yamato Takeru (Takeru sounds as first name here but means something like "Chieftains of a big tribe"). There quite a number of interesting legends linked to these two but not seems much relevant here. Point is the tutelar kami of Izumo was different even if related to the Yamato's. In the end, and apparently after quite some time historically speaking, Yamato people (and their Kami) won and and that part of the land was "unified" under Yamato chieftainship that gradually was becoming "imperial rule" So this is basically the retelling of the (mythological) History of Japan mixed with HSR and HI3 lore and sci-fi vibes and I could say it's very well done up to now.
One correction: Acheron didnt accept Nihility. If she did, she would have annihilated her own existence. She defied Nihility (slashing her sword towards the Aeon) and thus survived getting self-annihilated, therefore becoming an Emanator in the process. This can be confirmed in the data bank and the latest official infographic posted by Hoyo. Besides this, the video is pretty much correct! A well presented video❤😊
from my understanding they arent related yet (at least directly) as of now, its more like a reference/different timeline so you dont really have to play other honkai
cant believe hoyo gave us basically all of acherons past but it does make sense seeing as she can't remember anything, and trying to delve in her memories will destroy you. theres also the fact that in greek mythology, the river acheron is the river of misery and woe
I also noticed that for this Raiden they were inspired by Rean Schwarzer from Trails of Cold Steel. His Eight Leaves One Blade style is that of the Void (無) same kanji as Naught, both turns their hair to white, etc. It is known the HSR devs are big fans of Trails, so it wouldn't surprise me tbh.
It should also be mentioned one of the things in her kit is called Red Oni. Obviously we know that Onis matter in her lore, but in the Trails series, Rean's spirit unification form is meant to be called an Oni
I saw another theory on Bilibili that in this scene 1:40 the other hands turning into demon hands was symbolising the people of Izumo had become the new "kami", for the power of kami (the swords) had corrupted them. Izumo would turn into a planet full of "kami" and eons later when human civilisation is born on Takamagahara the kami of Izumo will invades and the loop will repeat until eternity. (by saying Takamagahara used to be neon cities it may be talking about the previous loop) If we assume this theory is true then the reason Acheron embraced nihility would change. It may go like this: After learning this truth and forged a blade from all other blades, her memories of her civilization and everyone she loves and her life. with this blade of Naught she ends the hopeless loop of the two planets forever. nihility was the only way to truly break the loop and "save" the planets.
If all of that was in fact IX's handiwork, pretty much meant all or most Emanator's are "created" by the Aeon through their scenarios, making them accept what the aeon wants to do at the end.
@@keitokarl Well I don't really see a way where Nous could "create" Herta. She was just born this way. I really can't see a way to make someone want knowledge for the sake of it. You could make someone want knowledge so they can do something else (save a loved one, gain power idk) but that'd kinda violate the idea of erudition as you would really be just using erudition for different means. Herta really just seems to love knowledge and finds things interesting and will do anything to understand them, the moment it stops peaking her interest she just drops it making her the perfect embodiment of erudition. She's chasing knowledge purely for knowledge.
Couple things that should be added, a couple days ago Hoyo compiled a bunch of info relating to emanators. The last page takes about the self annihilators and IX. One line in particular that stands out talks about how there are those who conceive the notion to fight back and wish to kill the aeon. Could be linked to Acheron attacking the black hole
Yes because IX is impressed by his favorite followers that decide to go against the Nihilistic world and is through these people that he may find his reason for existing.

@@mirageknight8070In a weird way IX is actually the most positive Aeon. If this is true than the real purpose of IX existence....is for you to overcome Nihility and regain meaning in your Life. Purple blob is a real one.
so this is why she asks trailblazer about "if you knew the end from the very beginning, would you still live the life you're given to?" it was pretty obvious that she's the lone survivor from the start just from that question alone, but to know it's actually confirmed was...tragic. this trailer does answer some of the questions about acheron, but not everything. i hope we get more lore about her in 2.1.
Developers confirmed that Acheron will retain significance in Penacony's story 'till version 2.3 There would be many mysteries and to be uncovered and a lot of time needed 'till we get all the answers. We must stay strong, brother
2:31 i mean theoretically, it is possible for a planet to orbit a black hole with a certain distance and a certain mass of the black hole, the problem is that black hole will always increase it's size so eventually the planet will be consumed by black hole which is very fascinating 4:32 could nihility itself being a reference to the will of honkai ?
She was supposed to be a destruction or erudition in terms of gameplay path but her power of emanator is so strong that she forces the game to make her nihility.
Idk if you see the live stream or not but it always been Nihility right from the start by the creator of archeron. In her animation short we also see IX or a black hole if I am wrong, but in her trailer we also saw the word Naught (Nothing) then we saw Acheron that definitely mean something. In conclusion the highest chance of her been Emanator of Nihility is the highest after all we learn from what MHY has show and tell us
@@F4-agqfqdot u mean debuffs, nihility is debuff, dot is a type of debuff, acheron using her life as sword, debuffing her life force to increase strength or dmg

Yes, indeed. I am re-experiencing HI3 in my veins. Perhaps since the maiden (Acheron) had imbued the katana with her soul, she was able to retain certain memories. What a tragic life. 😢
I just want to say, that this video was really well made in the way that you clearly, and easily explained Acheron's backstory. this helped me a lot to understand what her backstory was
There is also some interesting detail that you didn’t touch on, likely coz it not related to acheron backstory but i would still like to point out: - the male voice talking through the whole video, the white demon, was likely the holder of “end” sword which likely got cut down by Acheron in the end. - The white demon also mention how “it start with human but end with oni” thingy, looking at how Acheron have horn, it draw similarity to MANTIS in previous era of hi3, where they implanted honkai beast gene into soldier to make them stronger to be able to fight honkai better. So it likely Izumo people did something similar with the Kami they slay
@@F4-agqfq i mean Diabolic Kevin is his boss form name so white demon is likely refer to him. On why White demon is wielder of "end" sword, If you look at the "end" sword it kinda look like judgement of shamash, the video also mention 12 sword was reforged into 2 bearer, Acheron holding the "origin" one then who hold the "end" one, the only person been talking to her the entire video, the white demon
Nice, thanks for this! I'm an hi3 player and i knew it was _loosly_ paralleling HI3 with the Sentinals and Edict Edges being like the Previous Era Herrschers and the Divine Keys, but the actual events and settings that lead to the worlds being destroyed were still lost to me, so this cleared up a lot😅
Thank you so much for making this one!!! I was like, really confused about the kami and takagahara and izumo were. The fact they wete both planets orbiting a black hole scaped me as well! I thought thw black hole was there representing ix, looking over the struggle and deciding to make acheron an emanator. I did understand it was like, an ugly war of sorts where only acheron was the survivor. And then acheron felt despair like what were we even fighting for, if even thought we won, everything was lost either way?? But the fact there was a black hole ever-precent during the struggle, made everything worse. Both planets really had no other end except anihilation.
Thank you !! I was afraid that having HI3rd lore knowledge would become necessary, but it's not the case and we just needed to read the 2 previous trailers' descriptions. Your video is however very well made and a way better way of gaining said knowledge, so thanks again ! :)
Thank you for making this video its amazing how well you understand the lore helped me wrap around my head more easily and poor acheron she is so insanely strong but so lonely and depressed just let her travel with the express.
I think they mention explicitly that Izumo and Taka were orbiting a “shadow of IX” specifically. I’m not super clear on what that means beyond the fact theyre “creations” of IX. Presumably it visited their galaxy and inverted their sun, hence why the black hole was emitting light (something it physically should be able to do if we’re adhering to real life physics). It seems that self annihilators are forged when someone can withstand being in proximity to a shadow for an extended period of time, poor Acheron certainly did that.
Wow!! Thank you so much!! I felt quite disappointed cause although the trailer looked cool, I hadn't understood anything, but thanks to you I now have so I'm relieved!
Great video, as always! Though in trailer there was a mention of humans on Izumo are eventually transform into Oni through their fight against Kami. That’s why Acheron lost her oni horns after accepting nothingness
What happened on Izumo is that there was no Cocoon of Finality on their Moon, instead there was a Cocoon of Nihility(black hole), so instead of reaching Finality, they reached Nihility, there was no End, there was only Null. What very likely also happened is that there's no Kiana who represents Hope and becomes Finality to balance with Raiden's Orgin. Instead there was only Kevin as The End with his Sentinel Blade being the Judgment of Shamash. With no equivalent of Kiana and an entity as "understanding" as the Cocoon of Finality, the entire fight on Izumo was literally just for Nothing, Nihility.
@@F4-agqfqKiana as stated by the devs represents Hope and she is the most important character in Honkai, by not having her it means there's no Hope. Raiden will always be fighting alongside Kiana, but we can see that Izumo Raiden ended up alone fighting Kevin with no Kiana. And there's nothing anyone can do, Raiden, Kevin, Izumo, Takamagahara, all of them were meant to be destroyed by the black hole, it was all for nothing.
@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat nihility still has imaginary energy that powers its emenators, maybe if they utilized the energy sooner or differently, they would have survived

Yep, that really is the Mei that lost everything, poor girl..... Thanks a lot for the explanation man. We need more channel like this. It will draw more player to experience the game without having to FOMO about the lore 👍
ooooh thank you! now I understand what it was about! I heard somewhere before, that Izumo and Takamagahara orbited black hole instead of a star, but I completely forgot about that and only saw parallels with HI3. so unfortunate that Izumo is gone, I would like to see it as one of the playable worlds
Another honkai (GGZ) ref is that Izumo have 70,033 blades (ref to GGZ's total herrschers) and from them, they forged it again to make 12 Sentinel sword (ref to HI3rd's total 12 Herrschers).
I have no idea how did you understand this all, but thank you for explaining it so simply! The game has really nice lore, too bad it's so complex that it's hard to digest.
Always love these vids, I’m only familiar with star rail so when I see these vids that help expand on the other series it really helps and makes me appreciate it more
Thank you for pointing out the only requisite information for understanding this trailer are in this and Rondo trailer description. Playing HI3 only helps you to empathize with Acheron more easily. Since her HI3 counterpart fought tooth and nail to reach the point where the main cast has the power of “origin” and “end”. Yet it was all for naught.
3:40 Something I remembered was at one part the narrator says something about humans becoming oni. Could it be that the people who lived in the neon cities of Takamagahara became oni and went for Izumo similar to how the swarm spread
There's a small detail at 3:32 I'd like to add. So there was this Hoyolab post from HSR about Emanators a few days back, and it revealed so many details, likely explaining the source of Aventurine's power seen in 2.1 trailer as well as what will happen in 2.2 for the climax (read the Harmony segment). Anyway, the post also says that Self-Annihilators are more like unintentional Emanators, steeped in power of IX due to gazing at THEM and managing to persist instead of being actively chosen by IX. I always thought IX wouldn't have Emanators because the Nihilty itself doing something is just contradictory to the path of "nothing matters", so I personally consider how Emanators of Nihility come about to be an important piece of info.
If the Herrschers and the Divine Weapons of Acheron's world are equivalent in power to those on the Earth of HI3rd there's no longer any discussion: an Aeon is much, much bigger than anything on HI3rd, and could completely absord the Earth with everyone in it.
Damn bro thanks. Now everything makes sense. I wasn't able to connect IX to all of these events. So the planets were orbiting around the blackhole and the Yaoyorozu no Kami is from planet Takama, bringing destruction upon Izumo. I take that those "splintered 70000 blades" are the people who died fighting for Izumo. But everything was for "naught" because those two planets were doomed from beginning because of the blackhole. Then IX gets bored and eats both planets.
IX may not be as dangerous like some other Aeons, but the moment you get near to it, it swallows you regardless of how strong you are, just like how Black Holes IRL work, no matter how big of a star is it will be devoured by a black hole.
@@lesterismIX is not that dangerous if you are far from it's vicinity unlike other Aeons that are very hostile like Nanook. In fact in the database IX is considered to be a peaceful Aeon, just don't be near it LMAO. Ouroboros on the other hand is much more dangerous because just like IX, it's also considered a black hole as well, but it's more mobile and eats anything it came across.in it's path.
@@lesterismI mean, that true. At least if everyone united together and using big forces against Nanook, he might actually get defeated but that is not the same case with IX as it is literally a black hole that not only swallow up anything easily but also let people immediately lose all of their reasons to exist that eventually led them to surrender themselves toward IX.
I'd say it's debatable. IX seems to be quite passive. As Nihility they naturally don't care enough to spread their influence, whatever happenes to get into their orbit is erased and that's it. While Nanook is proactive in his pursuit to destroy everything in universe.@@lesterism
I saw someone pointed out how Rondo trailer reflect of the fate of the twin planets. Acheron and BS’s swirling tango was hinting the twin planets Izumo and Takamagahara circling each other. Where BS is like the latter engaging the former, held the upper hand at first but ultimately defeated. Also, Takamagahara might have invaded Izumo not for living space but intentionally cultivating an entity strong enough to neutralize the cataclysm threatening both planets. Acheron as the sole survivor turns out to be what they envisioned, but little did they know even she was unable to stop planets’ ultimate demise. With nothing to lose and nowhere to return, only nihility fills her heart.
I think the Kami were desperate and just hoping that Izumo might have a stable orbit. If they knew both planets share the same fate, they'd probably try to cooperate and pool resources. That's the "lie", that they're fighting over the last habitable place in their system.

i don't know if shes really a emanator, but shes surely a self annihilator and a very powerful one at that, destroying of self to become naught if it was to become a emanator i think is more from despair and to prevent her self from becoming a "oni" (type refereed by kevin when he said all will become like this) after all she still wanted that place to exist. IX did saw her when she self annihilate and maybe granted her a gift "when the sword is out my hazy memories become cleared again". nice video cheers

Another theory I read about the end was a lie was that Takamagahara and Izumo were in fact locked in a cycle. Izumo's residents turned into oni after they were corrupted by Takagahamara's powers, and there was a line that goes "Takagahamara might've been just as beautiful as Izumo" in the trailer. Takamagahara now has no "gods" as Izumo has slain them all, and Izumo is now rife with "onis". Essentially they've traded places. But Acheron managed to forge the blade "Naught", which ended both planets, giving them a true ending.
They did teased this in the first Myriad Celestia that introduce the Aeons and showing 2 planets slowly being pulled toward IX. On another note, Its interesting to see the idea of "Life = Memories" that pop up quite often in Honkaiverse appears again here with Acheron becoming Emanator when casting away her "Life" (Memories), leave but "Naught"(Nihility).
Thank you for explaining the trailer as it is presented from a HSR perspective. I understand HI players are incredibly excited with this trailer but players who have never played that game would be left very confused and feeling left out, which I don't think was the intent that Hoyo has. HSR is an alternate reality, another universe, with many references and similar characters but not everything can or should be explained with the same explanations given in HI. Thank you for the video
The sheer amount of references in this MC Trailer is insane. Also the Finality seemed to be an evil construct in this video, could that be a hint/foreshadowing of something to come or could it be that the Imaginary Tree has altered how each character is perceived (Read Loucha's Story Quest)
In Acheron & Black Swan tango dance animation video, there is the mention of “finality” around final sentences from video description which led me to think that since beginning, Terminus already planning everything by putting both Izumo & Takama orbiting near black hole with destined ending which is to get swallowed up by IX. (In fact, IX is simply one of the paw used by Terminus for upper motive…)
I came across a HoyoLab post that entertained the idea of Acheron being a Doctor of Chaos _(beings who walk the path of Nihility, but oppose it)_ . So she could be traveling the universe stopping people she meets from succumbing to Nihility _(also hinted at in her signature light cone)_ .
Now it made more sense why black swan kept being killed in various ways when she peeks into acheron's memories. Acheron was basically in an endless battle defending her inevitably dying planet..
1:50 Out of all the HI3 references I noticed that when Acheron was falling it's similar to when Kiana was falling after she was defeated by Mei in Nagazora and Mei caught her (if you know you know). But this time Mei falls and there's no one to catch her. (The Bad End)

It was as if the game was rigged from the start and that the sum would never be more than zero.
I like your interpretation!
THIS is the EXPLANATION that everyone deserve to read! So many players during 2.0 are all thought Acheron being emanator of Nihility rather than Finality would be very boring but after her trailer in Myriad Celestial, everything are all make sense now!
This. THIS.
Is the black hole IX or some version of it?

Maybe "The End" acheron was fighting might not be a Kiana variant but a Kevin variant cuz the JP VA of the narrator for the trailer is the same one as Kevin. Also wut if the reason why Acheron is in penacony is because what if she's looking for the watchmaker? Both Frebass and the watchmaker are nameless, and what if they personally knew each other in the past and maybe he also knows acheron. So she's looking for him and she's probably gonna ask him what's her past like in order to remember the past again, maybe that's the reason why shes in penacony

The Swords being made from the Sovereigns is parallel to the 12 Divine Keys being forged from 12 Herscher Cores. the acheron we saw on a dream when we're still on the journey to penacony was acheron from the future. after becoming the emanator of nihillity, she probably gained some powers related to black hole. she could be using the tesseract(4D space) inside a blackhole to travel in time and guide us in the dream just before we arrive in penacony. just like in the movie interstellar when cooper is able to communicate with his daughter in the past while inside the tesseract after falling to a blackhole
If that's true i should start watching that movie, no wonder people are praising it.
@@TheoDimitry its god tier
@@TheoDimitry its a great movie, if ur in to sci-fi
Btw, the tesseract isn't actually a thing that would be inside a blackhole (at least not that we know of), its created only as a plot device for interstellar, which the blackhole itself is an artificial one made by human in the future.
i watches the movie a few months ago with my dad. loved how everything tied back together too
That's an interpretation of Japanese mythology done incredibly well.
In the end, and apparently after quite some time historically speaking, Yamato people (and their Kami) won and and that part of the land was "unified" under Yamato chieftainship that gradually was becoming "imperial rule"
So this is basically the retelling of the (mythological) History of Japan mixed with HSR and HI3 lore and sci-fi vibes and I could say it's very well done up to now.
that explains why both planets are parted in half on her signature planar set (orb) in-game
A well presented video❤😊

cant believe hoyo gave us basically all of acherons past but it does make sense seeing as she can't remember anything, and trying to delve in her memories will destroy you. theres also the fact that in greek mythology, the river acheron is the river of misery and woe
I also noticed that for this Raiden they were inspired by Rean Schwarzer from Trails of Cold Steel. His Eight Leaves One Blade style is that of the Void (無) same kanji as Naught, both turns their hair to white, etc. It is known the HSR devs are big fans of Trails, so it wouldn't surprise me tbh.
tbh even her ulti and her transformation basically rean in his demon form
It should also be mentioned one of the things in her kit is called Red Oni. Obviously we know that Onis matter in her lore, but in the Trails series, Rean's spirit unification form is meant to be called an Oni
Mihoyoverse and their references
I saw another theory on Bilibili that in this scene 1:40 the other hands turning into demon hands was symbolising the people of Izumo had become the new "kami", for the power of kami (the swords) had corrupted them. Izumo would turn into a planet full of "kami" and eons later when human civilisation is born on Takamagahara the kami of Izumo will invades and the loop will repeat until eternity. (by saying Takamagahara used to be neon cities it may be talking about the previous loop)
If we assume this theory is true then the reason Acheron embraced nihility would change. It may go like this: After learning this truth and forged a blade from all other blades, her memories of her civilization and everyone she loves and her life. with this blade of Naught she ends the hopeless loop of the two planets forever. nihility was the only way to truly break the loop and "save" the planets.
If all of that was in fact IX's handiwork, pretty much meant all or most Emanator's are "created" by the Aeon through their scenarios, making them accept what the aeon wants to do at the end.
through their scenarios..

I just want to say, that this video was really well made in the way that you clearly, and easily explained Acheron's backstory. this helped me a lot to understand what her backstory was
There is also some interesting detail that you didn’t touch on, likely coz it not related to acheron backstory but i would still like to point out:
- the male voice talking through the whole video, the white demon, was likely the holder of “end” sword which likely got cut down by Acheron in the end.

I love your deep dives. Also, the more I learn about Acheron, the more I like her! ^_^

Your videos for this game are the only ones I should watch honestly

Great video, as always! Though in trailer there was a mention of humans on Izumo are eventually transform into Oni through their fight against Kami. That’s why Acheron lost her oni horns after accepting nothingness
What happened on Izumo is that there was no Cocoon of Finality on their Moon, instead there was a Cocoon of Nihility(black hole), so instead of reaching Finality, they reached Nihility,
there was no End, there was only Null.
What very likely also happened is that there's no Kiana who represents Hope and becomes Finality to balance with Raiden's Orgin. Instead there was only Kevin as The End with his Sentinel Blade being the Judgment of Shamash. With no equivalent of Kiana and an entity as "understanding" as the Cocoon of Finality, the entire fight on Izumo was literally just for Nothing, Nihility.
kiana the clone of kallen? i mean kevin had another method too
@@F4-agqfqKiana as stated by the devs represents Hope and she is the most important character in Honkai, by not having her it means there's no Hope.

This is actually very well detailed and put a lot of things into perspective.
Good Job.
3:40
Something I remembered was at one part the narrator says something about humans becoming oni. Could it be that the people who lived in the neon cities of Takamagahara became oni and went for Izumo similar to how the swarm spread
That is exactly what i was looking for - thank you!
Very good video. I didn't understand a thing when the trailer first dropped
If the Herrschers and the Divine Weapons of Acheron's world are equivalent in power to those on the Earth of HI3rd there's no longer any discussion: an Aeon is much, much bigger than anything on HI3rd, and could completely absord the Earth with everyone in it.
It was obvious herrschers were limited to earth
Damn bro thanks. Now everything makes sense. I wasn't able to connect IX to all of these events. So the planets were orbiting around the blackhole and the Yaoyorozu no Kami is from planet Takama, bringing destruction upon Izumo. I take that those "splintered 70000 blades" are the people who died fighting for Izumo. But everything was for "naught" because those two planets were doomed from beginning because of the blackhole. Then IX gets bored and eats both planets.
Thank you so much for this video! I really neede this explanation to understand the lore in the video
IX may not be as dangerous like some other Aeons, but the moment you get near to it, it swallows you regardless of how strong you are, just like how Black Holes IRL work, no matter how big of a star is it will be devoured by a black hole.
IX is literally the most dangerous Aeon so far. Much more threatening than Nanook can be.
Well Nanook is currently the youngest Aeon. @@lesterism
I'd say it's debatable. IX seems to be quite passive. As Nihility they naturally don't care enough to spread their influence, whatever happenes to get into their orbit is erased and that's it. While Nanook is proactive in his pursuit to destroy everything in universe.@@lesterism

Thank you for the explanation, helps me understand the lore better 👍 (W channel)

14. End= herrschers of the end (past era and herrschers of finality (current era)
thank you so much for this i was so lost
Great video
Thank you for explaining the trailer as it is presented from a HSR perspective. I understand HI players are incredibly excited with this trailer but players who have never played that game would be left very confused and feeling left out, which I don't think was the intent that Hoyo has. HSR is an alternate reality, another universe, with many references and similar characters but not everything can or should be explained with the same explanations given in HI. Thank you for the video
I love how he used interstellar's black hole as an example of black hole that the two planets orbits
I love how they used Honkai world diva in the trailer and nigh Glow
The part at 3:00 - 3:20 (in the Kyoden video) Theres a BGM which kinda sounds similar to Honkai world diva (one of the best osts of Hi3rd)
(In fact, IX is simply one of the paw used by Terminus for upper motive…)
finality has always been a “evil” concept in all of the games, right?
I came across a HoyoLab post that entertained the idea of Acheron being a Doctor of Chaos _(beings who walk the path of Nihility, but oppose it)_ .
So she could be traveling the universe stopping people she meets from succumbing to Nihility _(also hinted at in her signature light cone)_ .
HSR stories just getting better and better, with so many plot twist, mystery/plot holes, etc
if kiana became herrscher of finality in HI3 Mei became basically the counterpart of that in HSR truly best couple that cant be separated
Now it made more sense why black swan kept being killed in various ways when she peeks into acheron's memories. Acheron was basically in an endless battle defending her inevitably dying planet..
