My job in my 20s was reconditioning engines Lloyd. Done 1000s of valves so should still be able to. If you haven't seen 'the engine project' it's on a playlist. Have a look when you've a few spare hours lol.
HI malc! looks like your making headway on the project. I am sure everything will work out just fine. Its always the darkest B4 the Dawn. I am sending some positive intention your way, wishing you the best of luck with your project my friend Jim
Thanks Jim. Getting there now. Head almost done, just the last leg to do. Have to say your support, along with the many others has made this so much better. Hopefully a video of driving her again soon :)
Nice job Malc. It's a project, not a race. I'm sure some of your mates from the shows would gladly lend a hand. If I were not 3000 miles away, I'd jump right in.
Thanks Jim. I've some great friends helping, but it can't be there too long so got to get on with it. Won't do me any harm to be pushed into a bit of work lol.
Continuing my journey through the life and times of your Nuffield ownership. Well, as we know, you did survive it, Malc, and you're still doing great things and entertaining and informing your followers - for which we thank you!
Thanks Colin. Can still potter but that's all. Overdid it mending this and never recovered. Been getting worse this year. Recently been to the doctor and having blood tests. Thankfully still ok some of the time, which you see. But some days, feel too ill to sit in a chair? Hopefully find out what's wrong soon.
@@promerops Unfortunately there's no cure for old age, or health issues caused by old age. These of course happen at different ages. There's a 90odd year old man I know, saw him pushbikeing into town last week. I've also known of 2 girls, daughters of a friend of mine who died of natural causes aged only 20.
+MalcOfLincoln Yeah, it probably will! The trouble is, once you've done it, you feel it. I know there's I do at the time that I know I shouldn't.... I end up feeling it for days. I've got scoliosis in the upper spine with mild sclerosis in the lower.... Not as bad as you've got, but it's enough of a problem in itself.
Yes full of potholes, you need a tractor to drive along them lol. But yes when everything`s fixed I will film a part two of "in search of MalcOfLincoln".
Did a nice job Malc on the valves and they look good. The long hours will pay off and you'll have the Nuffield back in operation in no time .

The valves look brand new! I'm sure you'll get it sorted :)
I'll get there in the end.
Nice one Malc, those valves look like new.
hope the old girl gets running soon
It was my job Paul. They are as good as new. So do I, all this work is killing me.....quite literally.

My pleasure :) like the Beetles song said, "I get by with a little help with my friends"
I have not seen inlet valves like that before. Interesting stuff!
I'd totally forgotten Harry, was reminded by Mark, who remembered his college days.

Looks like you got a handle on the valves there Malc ! Thumbs up ..
Just doing as good a job as I'm allowed to given the circumstances Shawn

@@MalcOfLincoln Let's hope for diagnosis and cure (or, at least, relief).

@@MalcOfLincoln Very true.
Keep up the good work Malc. You'll be on top of it soon enough. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, so they say. Look forward to the updates.
This just might kill me Clive....no doubt we''ll get there soon.
The valves look good. Now I understand about what you said the the other day, "will I survive?". 10 hours, that's some long days. Take care Malcolm!
Thanks Brett. No doubt do me good in the end.

The Ol' Man is taking a beating eh!! You're looking quite weary Mate!!☺
Yeah, bloody tired, but coping ta! Do me good if it doesn't kill me eh! The tractor is similar, if not worse than your Model A.
Take it easy mate, I know how much this means to you but there`s always next year to ride the Nuffield.
Next year, not sure Andy. But when you're free one day, we can go and do a video somewhere local if you want. Some nice quiet roads nearby.
