It's true, your the pioneer of ETO who made a great vlog about electrical works onboard. It's great vlog especially aspiring ETOs that will give a free view and knowledge what are in ships.
Indeed!.... Understanding the drawings and being able to navigate them is of paramount importance as is the use of the test equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation impedence testers etc) using these efficiently will make your job not only easier but safer for you and those around you. Understanding the process of what is meant to happen with a piece of equipment is a big help and good communication with the engineers..... team work makes the dream work 😄 good luck!
Lekcyjake, you are such a lovely person, and a great engineer. Thank you so much for your invaluable guidance. I hope all of your efforts bring you a lot of success.
New subscriber here. And I’m impressed. I don’t know anything about what you do, but it’s entertaining. You’re a detective and you solve mysteries. I can’t imagine everyone waiting on you to get the ship running again. Your efficiency astounds me and I hope they pay you a whole lot of money, because you’re worth it. And I’m sure there are many people like you for each ship out there. Your videos are unique and they open my eyes to the complexities of shipping. Well done. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much mr lecky, you are very kind.hope GOD will always be with you.when other people hiding their knowledge because they think that is good to hide.you are coming to share what you know to all the people saluuuuuttttt for you👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love the tip on how to use your multimeter. I think it's really important that you know not only how to measure with your multimeter but how NOT to measure. For instance, if you try to use DC voltage to measure an AC sensor, or AC voltage on a high-frequency signal, the numbers you get will be meaningless! Or that you can't use resistance mode if the sensor is still connected to a system. Etc. Thanks for the video!
Hello sir, i am Tr. ETO, I hv been searching this kind of videos since long time but I couldn't find it anywhere. New subscriber here. Your Vlog is really helpful sir, very informative... I just finished my first extended contract as a reeferman due to COVID-19, 11 Months on board is really exhausting. Reading really pays a lot.
I am a electronics engineer down to component level & smd, Also over confidence can cause a lot of problems, Dont think you know it all, listen to others too, I am retired but i am still learning, also you can use a current clamp meter in certain circumstances, or if you know what you are doing you can measure current with a multi-meter (IT MUST BE AN EXCLENT MAKE METER LIKE FLUKE) in series with the meter BUT YOU MUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND THE CAPEABILLITIES OF YOUR EQUIPMENT! a little knowledge can be dangerous though! BE CAREFUL OUT THERE
