I built a CS Strat last year. Ordering through Casino Guitars was the best decision ever!! It’s no gamble (haha). The entire experience, start to finish was awesome. As soon as I submitted my online order form, I got a phone call from Baxter. He legit stepped me through the entire process turning an otherwise daunting process into a fun one. His expertise was invaluable and so appreciated. They really do care and love what they do! I’m considering another and will definitely be going through Casino again!!! Thanks!

I’m picking up my first CS strat today. Solid rosewood neck with lacquered fretboard, alder body with dark walnut stain, custom pickups, soft v neck
Ordered a CS Strat recently after working with Baxter for 2(ish) years and I can say they really do care. I'm not sure any other store would have engaged in the back and forth over email like Casino Guitars did. I submitted the online form, and Baxter reached out over email the next day and we talked over the phone! Baxter worked with me through every step of the way, and his knowledge and patience were absolutely priceless. I would love to order another guitar or amp through Casino, they have treated me not just as a customer, but as a friend! Thank you Baxter and thank you Casino Guitars!!!

Hear me out on my CS strat idea. Don't try to talk me out of it!
- SSH (Not HSS)
- Neon Yellow and Butterscotch Blonde sunburst.
- The middle single coil needs to be an Active EMG.
- The volume and tone need to be mounted UNDER the pick guard.
- Scalloped on frets 1-12 on the high three strings
- Scalloped on frets 13-22 on the low 3 strings
- 50s hard V neck profile.
- Vincent Van Trigt has to do it mostly because I want to greatly inconvenience him with my monstrosity.

I just order a Fender Custom Shop from these guys and they are seriuos when they say, they take the time to really get to know you so so can you the best guitar for you. I reach out to them and to my surprise Baxter is the one reply to me. We exhange few emails and had couple of phone calls and he is very friendly. To my surprise, he wasn't just about the business of selling you an expensive guitar. He really talk to me and got to know me a little bit, we talk about other things besides guitars and made the experince so pleasent. They really know their stuff. Thank you Baxter for all your help.
You found a place you are comfortable and manufacturers that provide a product you are proud of, and there is nothing wrong with Doing what you believe or love in and supporting people and Products. Not everyone wants a custom Shop or can afford one but its always nice to have a reliable source for those that do
I will say I miss the Mike Eldred days, and a more expansive Time Machine footprint. Just like I miss the American Vintage Series at the factory level. That said, their work is still top shelf and their relic work has really gotten insanely good. I thought it was pretty neat how the Sean Hurley P Bass brought back the bass mute system Fender originally developed with Bob Babbitt by upscaling a Jazzmaster style system. Y’all are really great! I know I’d never, ever sell my CS Time Machine 55 P. It’s truly something special.

My team build Tele is the only thing I've purchased lately that I'm completely satisfied with. I'm not going to tell you about my new boat experience, uggghhh.

I ordered my first custom shop Strat way back in March 2000 and it finally arrived in April 2001. It was a 1960 Closet Classic Strat in 3 tone sunburst. The specs I wanted changed was no checking and 9.5” radius. It took 13 months to arrive but was well the wait! The custom shop knocked it outta the park and I still have it! Love the Strat and thank you Fender Custom Shop! Oh, the price without my specs was $2000 and the up charge for my specs was $500. Well worth it though!

Why doesn't anybody talk about the Fender Mod Shop? I have 2 of those. They're great.
I would love one, but you can't get them outside of the U.S.

Mod shop is a nice alternative, however the prices are too high - they start at $2,000. Comparing that to the American Performer Strat at $1,300, American Pro II at $1,700 - even signature Strats like the Eric Clapton and SRV are priced at $2,000.
Many options aren’t available in the mod shop as well, like even a 6 point tremolo… It’s cool to get body colors that are difficult to find though like Sherwood Green. It’d be much cheaper to buy all the parts individually from the Fender website and put it together.

Thanks for putting it in mine. However, some happiness could come from the fact that no Beachboys played instruments on the first albums.
I know for 10000% that when I'm ready for a Fender custom shop I'm coming to Casino...like actually coming in (maybe even this weekend with pops). I just need to wait for a better lead time, my interests change WAY too quickly to wait 2+ years for a guitar. That could certainly be my not being ready to commit though also, but when I do Bax and Beav I am comin for ya!
Go Masterbuilt and you can adjust during the wait.

i have that Yamaha Pacifica! Freakin great strat! Modded with beter tuners and wiring, that's it! Plays like a dream!
Been waiting 14 months for the custom shop, 6-7 more to go.
Was that a master built. I ordered a team build in October and was quoted 18 months

@@tjancijr just got my Blungeon, took 2 years. Sad that 12 people dropped out losing their $500 deposit. Initially had66 but have 54.. You have to hold a custom shop to understand. Worth the wait. Enjoy.

Bought and sold a cs holoflakes. Nice guitar but I'll say that my 6 bolt silhouette is every bit the equivalent. Birdseye is the extra icing on the cake.

It's true folks: Baxter will spend as much time as you need to spec things out and feel comfortable before pulling the trigger. Many, many hours over a few months for me. I did not opt for hippos. But Nashville Tele with strat contours: custom indeed.
Can't we just take and Affinity and custom shop it ourselves 😜

As i have said before, my experience with Fenders custom shop has been a mixed bag.
Yes they are capable of making excellent samples, but in my case the second one was a disaster.
I Rejected it and my dealer made enough fuss to the point that they offered to make another sample
by a Master bulider, now this one was perfect.
So make sure that you choose the right dealer, i am sure Casino Guitars would have been just as
helpful.
Have you all gotten your hands on any of the Mod Shop guitars? Your thoughts? Are these something that are online only or can these be ordered through a dealer as well?
It’s not common knowledge, but they can be ordered through a dealer. Baxter actually did a video about it last year. I think he had a demo video of the finished guitar before it got shipped to the owner.

How does Baxter have so much time to watch all these movies and peruse the internet and work and do family stuff. My favorite Tom Cruise moment was when he was jumping up and down on the couch on some talk show exclaiming his love for a woman who is now his ex wife. I think it was Katie Holmes. He acted like an insane teenager 😳. After that I can't take him seriously.
Can't afford the custom shop. Need a 1970 tele bass but it would cost 7k.

Ive heard a theory that the late 80’s American Strats are considered to be some of the finest instruments Fenders made in the modern era because the then to become custom shop builders built them. Any thoughts on that theory?
