Kudos to you for asking the teacher if she wanted the games !!! I was a gradeschool lunch supervisor and I was surprised how many teachers did not have anything set aside for inside recess. I even brought a basket full of paper, stickers, easy games, puzzle and coloring books as a present to the teacher and the class. They LOVED it !
My oldest was in after school care at his school and he was so bored and sad when he was there bc nobody would really pay attention to him and there wasn’t anything to do really. My mom felt so bad, she started bringing him home after school lol.
Regarding pictures: it’s a life saver come Graduation time to have pictures printed and organized rather than rushing to find and print them senior year. There’s so much going on and so busy. I had three boys graduate within four years and I was not organized and I always meant to do it. I’ve got a few years break before my two girls graduate I will be organized!
I would absolutely love to see a kitchen organization video. Also, I have a very small kitchen in My Home so I would love any tips that you might be able to offer on how to efficiently use and organize small spaces within the kitchen.
Oh how wonderful that your son brought home the cooking mag for you (extra points for snagging a FREE one!!!), and tell him you had me at 'honey garlic'!!!
Here are my ideas for the closet in the bathroom: - hanging shoe organizer (the ones that hang on a door made out of fabric or plastic) to put things in and hang it on the rod - the ikea KOMPLIMET multi-use hanger white - a tension rod could create more hanging space as well - you could add more shelfs - hang baskets from the rod - install some door racks or pantry organizer at the wall for things to store there - Soda Tabs you can take them of the can and put them on a Cloth hanger and hang a second one from them or use shower rings to do the same
YES, came here to say that IKEA has some great hanging storage, I have a hanging shelf that I put on a rod in my closet to get some more storage, I can't remember what it was called but there is a longer one that's meant for closets and I remember mine was sorted into the bathroom category and it's a little shorter, so depending on how high the clothing rod is, you can pick if you want the long or short one. And you don't even have to unscrew the rod, they just velcro around the rod, and they stay there very securely, I have mine stuffed to the brim with rolled up pajamas and it has not come loose in the years I've had it.
I would love to see you do a budget friendly Thrive market video. For example, 5 meals for $20.00 all items purchased from Thrive market. This would be a great selling point for their membership fees.
I can’t do 5 meals for $20 anywhere. Lol. I’m putting out a video next week with 3 meals for $20. Thrive Market does not sell fresh produce which would make it difficult to make an all-encompassing meal plan. This is why I purchase the items I like from them for my pantry and use them in meals with other ingredients.
@@SeeMindyMom Thank you for the reply. The 5 meals for $20.00 was just an example. I have been looking into Thrive market but wasn’t sure of available items and pricing before committing to the membership fee. Is there a way to look to see what their prices are and what they carry before committing? Looking forward to the 3 meals for $20.00! Thank you for what you do! With grocery prices the way they are now I am certain most people are looking for ways to cut back.
I have a shoe holder that hangs up in my closet. You could use one of those and put whatever you want in there. The spaces aren't shoe sized they are about 1 foot square so they could hold a lot of stuff
Just clicked on the video and can't wait to finish watching! I've been decluttering like crazy. Well, I have been since last summer so it's not new. But I've been on a roll!
Great video idea! I can't tell you how being more of a minimalist really helps my stress level. I am always looking for ways help minimize more and more along with making good meals. Last weekend I prepped some "freezer" meals and it was such a God send! It has been pepparing meals so much easier the last 2 weeks. You'd love The Minimal Mom channel. OH, I'd love to know where your YT name came from. What does See Mindy Mom mean? lol ;)
Your kitchen drawers look like mine lol! Luckily I am moving soon so I will be able to reorganize and think about new ways to store my things. Would love to see the decluttering of tupperware containers.
Target sells these baskets that have hooks that hook over the rods in your closet to help store things that might work for what you were looking to do in the laundry room
Thank you for the decluttering motivation! I had a baby in November and I only have a couple weeks left before I have to go back to work and I won't have the time to declutter anymore!
Honestly, when I realized it will never be "done" because my family lives here, I felt a lot better about just doing the best I can and finding a stopping point so I can enjoy our time together. The whole house being under control at the same time isn't the rule in this season of our life, it's the exception! :)
I Mindy! We make a similar one pan meal like your orzo. We just use macaroni pasta, and instead of sour cream, we add a little tomato paste, then some cheese on top! Family favorite for sure!
Thank you, Mindy, for all your tips and cooking on a budget videos! I always get wonderful inspiration or sometimes I just ask myself, "Why didn't I think of that?" I'm always trying to reinvent the wheel when I cook (or even declutter and reorganize) but you inspire me to keep it simple and easy!
I took the folding doors off our pantry and have a curtain hanging instead. Visually it looks nicer, but those silly doors would stick, or get in the way of the back door. It's so much more efficient than before!
IKEA has some fabric storage that you can hang over the clothes rail. It gives you shelves that you can simply hang and remove whenever you like. I am pretty sure that other producers have similar products but I don't know what is available in your region.
Try a carabiner...hook it on the closet rod and you can click on the bags. You can use the straps or if it's a purse like bag click that on. Most backpacks have that little loop you can hook. Works good for me...hope you find it helpful. Just make sure you get ones large enough for the closet rod.
I sure cld use a phone declutter!! I have over 1800 pics and screen shots etc from the past year! I bet maybe 20 are actual pictures id want to keep!🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the push that I needed to declutter! I'm going to start tonight!❤
Thank you for including ideas for Digital Declutter. I never thought of including that into my schedule. I also agree that the winter months are a great time to tackle the "digital beast!" Thanks for another great video Mindy 🥰
I appreciate all your videos. They are so helpful. I'm definitely making those meatballs this week. PS, I wouldn't delete the completed videos. Here recently, Six Sisters Stuff had their channel hacked, and the hackers deleted all their videos.
Have you ever tried the "free prints" app? You get like 85 free pictures a month, 4x6, and you only pay shipping. I think its abt $10 shipping now, but its super convenient. You can choose the prints right off your phone, crop them, and they ship to your door! I use it all the time to keep my phone less cluttered.

Love the meatballs 😋 yummo....haha I don't like opening laundry doors either but what I did do is get a curtain rod and long curtains to just cover the space if need or leave them open. Also it added a little bit of color as well. Love yall and Happy New Year 2023
The basket for towels in your laundry room is gorgeous! Such yummy recipes. I need to diversify my dinners some and that meatball recipe looks delicious! ETA: I’ve made your dad’s chili before and it is amazing 😊
Renee, I have to be honest. That basket has had MANY uses over the years. I think it used to be a toy basket, and then maybe hold blankets, and finally it moved to the laundry room for towels when the lid broke. LOL! Waste not, right? :) My dad will be delighted to know his chili was a hit!
Our family is loving recipes in fall/winter capsule. I am using the capsule to put together meals for new neighbors in my sister's apt building. Will use these recipes too.
For me it's not so much spending time making dinner but I just spent all day doing all this work and now I have a mess in the kitchen late in the evening because I made dinner...

Love your and other frugal/cooking videos, Mindy! What I've not seen anyone address tho, is the super large and tough chicken breasts at the grocery store. My chicken breast family pack purchases on sale, claim to be antibiotic and hormone free. I am understandably doubtful tho. I butterfly these huge chicken breasts and usually dice for recipes. I don't over cook them. They are just dry, fibrous and tough! I have chosen the supposed "natural" chicken breasts over the 15+% salt/liquid infused frozen versions. Something incredibly wrong with what's being offered as "fresh" chicken for purchase. It's just pretty awful unless one pounds the heck out of it like my grown son in another state does.
Soak in milk the night before in the fridge. It really softens tough chicken. Cook just until done. If needed in a recipe, add broth and make sure recipe has liquid

You could use "S" hooks and baskets to hang off the clothing rod. Or maybe a purse organizer or shoe organizer could hang on the rod.
Dollar tree baskets with handles can go on the rod- the bigger ones that have a little give
Very interested in your favorite kitchen small appliances and tools! video! Love this video concept - more please!!

I'm not sure. Eggs are called for in meatloaf and similar recipes because they are a binder.
Mix it with uncooked oats?
Oats are a binder.

and no eggs.
