This is insane! I’m a design engineer that works in the transportation industry and when laying out networks, we essentially have our tangent bearings and connect them with curves that best fit in each scenario. This is the closest mod I’ve seen that replicates that workflow!
Mad respect to MacSergey. After Intersection Marking Tool, Node Controller Renewal, Building Spawn Points now this. Just incredible and all of them in such a short time span. Makes me excited to see what he comes up with in the future :D
Oh God this last feature was my dream! Since Collosal Order doesn't release any DLCs or patches, only modders make this game still interesting. Creators should be thankful to all modders and Content Creator Packs makers
@@Britonbear the last released DLC was Sunset Harbor, it was released on March 2020. Previous DLCs were released every few months. Because of this, some players think, that Collosal Order might work on Cities: Skylines 2
This is a "just in time delivery" as I work on the design of my next map for the workshop. Thanks to the Macman for the mod and Yumbl for the tutorial.
Wow. 2 things Yumbl. 1. Isn't it insane how many great mods there are for this game? 2. Your explanation of these mods has been the most consistent with clarity, while spotlighting the best uses of them. I don't know how they'd do a CS2 without hiring all these modders and getting all their input, effectively the modding community (with streamers) has put this game at an unreachable height for paradox. It blows my mind.
Holy moly. Now even a naif like me can build some decent interchanges without using imperatur's method of forcing nodes with perpendicular connectors. Plus, all kinds of useful for building things like train yards, spur lines and more. Just being able to actually cross roads with train tracks and have control over intersection formation is a godsend to Storm City. Now think about quays, terraforming tools, surface networks... I'm building a park with a spiral ramp and this mod is EXACTLY what I needed. MacSergey should frankly get a job offer from Colossal. He has more awards than just about any other modder.
This honestly fixes every problem I have had with how Cities Skylines handles network building. I always wished they would handle it how Transport Fever does. Thanks a lot for the overview!
Reading the title of the video I was like: "well, yeah, I can do pretty reasonable curves".. but oh man, this mod is AWESOME! The last two options are fantastic!! Thanks so much for sharing, I'm looking forward to test it :D
Cities Skylines may be the most modded game of all time. Kudos to the community for constantly having the desire to outjump themselves. Kudos to the developers as well, because if they hadn't exposed the necessary parts of the code, modding on this scale wouldn't be possible. Last but not least, kudos to UA-cam content creators for letting us know about these awesome new entries!
There was another mod that made things similar (but was more meant to bigger intersections, for ramps and all), but this one is certainly a bit better. I was told it didn't show the slope percentages and that's why I didn't switch from Elektrix's. Since it does, I might take a look at it. It's so good to see the community so active still
@@YUMBL just used it, it’s very good indeed. Could use some refinement but does what it proposes very well. And I’m sure the next updates will improve things even further since it’s a new mod. Can’t wait to see what this one will accomplish
Thanks for the tute mate! It's great to see the modding community is back in action. For the last couple or so years there haven't been any significant mods for CS, and now suddenly Boom! loads of new ones
This mod is designed by a true C:S player, who knows what the games was lacking. Perfect addition and easy to use with icons similar to Electrix's road tools (great mod, but runner-up now). Great presentation of a great mod, thanks
I'm awful at getting smooth curves for highway ramps and mountain roads. This is a genuine game changer for me. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
4:30 It’s because in the crossing segment you drew in, there was a node sitting right on top of the longer road. The tool only works if the segments cross over each other, with no nodes in the way.

Not all heroes wear capes they say but im pretty sure this modder is wearing one in secret... Damn what a amazing tool and makes road design alot easyer.
For those who were looking for a loop tool: there is already a mod called Advanced Road Tools that does that, but is incredibly hard to use, so I am glad Sergey created this one.
This mod will be amazing for so many things, from cleaning up connection glitches to making interchanges to making easier realistic switchbacks up a steep slope!
The mod is smart enough to figure it out if you skip or miss a node when your selecting. As long as there are no intersections in the way. It treats intersections like a "break" in the road segment so for nodes that are intersections you have to select them manually. But anything in between intersections it should figure out on it's own.
OMG, with the great mod creators, and video creators like yourself this game is just getting better, I just keep running out of memory as I want so many assets and mods lol.
Wow. One of those mods that makes you wonder how you lived without them before... Now I'm thinking I too can make fancy interchanges, in less than 2 hours and without them looking like a dog's dinner! (despite your most useful how-tos) Thanks for sharing!
Dude this is no amazing mod and I could see making a lot of uses out of it. Also I love the highlight feature when it comes to selecting the nodes or just drawing those segments. I think even the creator of the movie tool should consider using that highlighted feature for the notes since it would help out a lot. Thank you for demonstrating this mod to us and have a good day sir.
Create Connection is going to be great with subways. I always have such a hard time when stations aren't directly in line getting smooth curves that make sense. But the whole mod looks amazing.
I watched from Steam. The intersection tool will work fantastic for creation of at grade rail crossings because the old way literally throws the numbers off by a very small fraction which makes intersections on either side of the rail crossing not line up and throws off any chance of a better grid.
I would say 1/2 of the functions is not necessary or it is covered by other mod, but the last two functions are epic. This is some next level gangsta shit!
Goodbye electriks. Hello to my new best friend. I think one place I will really love this mod will be paths. They can be a little annoying to work with at times.
This is just awesome. Someday I'd love to see a mod that will allow you to click a grade line and have The whole map highlight that elevation. Would make planning train routes so much easier. Or have it highlight a user selectable grade range... like +/- 5'-0"
I've used it for a while now, not understanding some of it, mainly using it for making parallel network (mine in different version) and slope. But now i understand it more.. Btw, you can skip nodes in the middle and it works the same..
