Yeah I literally am on the verge of throwing my controller at the slightest inconvenience whereas he loses a whole days worth of progress and is like "alright, better try again! 😊"
I could literally *hear* the game audio every time you tried for "If They Came to Hear me Beg" "Stay low, let me draw the heat. Just deliver that package" "There's our destination, six. Pillar of Autumn. Race you to her" *sound of shields breaking and bones snapping as you miss the elite and hit the ground* ... "Stay low, let me draw the heat. Just deliver that package"
One of my good friends passed away last year. This achievement is something we were trying to get before he passed away. Didn't realize it wasn't in the MCC. I bet he'd have a laugh about that.
The most difficult part of “If they came to hear me beg” was that you couldn’t use equipment to reach the elite and couldn’t touch them prior to assassinating them…so if you held the sprint button just a little bit too long (or jet pack if you tried to do this on the mission with the tower) or you collided with them before performing the execution…no achievement. I killed that elite several times before finally finally got the achievement. I had to look up why I wasn’t getting it to learn about the extra requirements.
Dang, I never knew there were additional requirements! I was trying to 100% Reach shortly after it came out. I made around 100 attempts and landed the assassination twice, but didn't get the achievement. Figured it was bugged and gave up :(
Its not the collision that screws it, it's just that the fall is only JUST enough to kill you, so if you land on the enemy then the fall wasn't going to kill you. Basically, the backstab has to save you from a fall that would normally kill you, and landing on an enemy (or even backstabbing when your trajectory would mean landing on an enemy) means the fall no longer kills you. If you kiss their neck on the way down but don't actually 'land' on them, the game lets it through still.
@@krackergrit I spent a week and a half of afternoons after school just throwing myself off that damn cliff to get that achievement lol, but when I finally got it it was the single most exciting thrill I’ve gotten out of a video game.
We are now at a point where flappy goat cannot just be described as a flappy bird parody but where the concept of the game has to be actually explained. I can always count on you to drop existential bombs on me during my lunch break thanks snam!
I worked on the console version of Goat Sim Me and the QA tester drove ourselves to madness testing for flappy goat every other week 😅 Also going for a 100% run is surprisingly fun, especially with the in-situ mutation system we put in
I enjoy the format change to having a variety of games. For me personally, I think the sweet spot is doing 2-3 games but keeping the long-ish (say 15-20 min) length. But I also like the longer, single-game focused videos, so if you wanted to switch it up depending on what you're enjoying, that's great for me.
The currently plan is to do longer achievements/challenges mainly and sprinkle something like this in every so often too. 2-3 games is interesting, maybe I’ll be able to find some games that have achievements long enough where that’s viable
It's crazy how hard it is not to take for granted how naturally fighting games come to someone who plays a lot. I'm always wondering if there's a critical misunderstanding of something fundamental that the games themselves just don't think to explain.
I feel like a lot of the skill gap comes from game/character knowledge and muscle memory. Two things that are gained from just playing a lot, and very hard to obtain when going from new game to new game like me haha
@@Snamwiches it's definitely got a transferable skill bias from genre familiarity in my experience. The people I know who enjoy playing fighting games can pick up and learn the basics other games in the genre with an uncanny ease, because the foundation is generally consistent. As someone who loves fighting games it's always a bit of a hard pill to swallow seeing people less comfortable with the genre struggle, realizing there is a missed opportunity for the game to bridge the gap. A LOT of our intra-community discourse is focused on how to build the scene and what ways are/aren't effective at giving new players a foothold to build the foundational skills to see the beauty of the games and fall in love with the genre. Not to make a mountain of it, cuz I definitely get that it's such a tangential part of this video, let alone your gaming interests out of this context. It's just interesting to see a truly "casual" perspective. And knowing that just having a fighting game inclined friend to explain it in broader gaming terms could have made it so much simpler, it's mildly frustrating to think the games themselves could do a much better job filling in for that friend in a situation like this. Fighting game devs recently have made a lot of efforts in regard to accessibility and reaching new players, but they still have a ways to go to ever be mainstream on the level they were in the past. It's just sometimes seeing this makes me wonder if they consult or focus test with actual new players to get their solutions. Sorry for the long winded reply, but hope I explained the sentiment reasonably. Been enjoying your content since the algorithm decided to start blasting me with it a few weeks ago btw haha
@@oklimbo I personally think with that MK achievement it comes down to one thing: A lot of fighting game tutorials are straight up awful. They ask you to do these insanely long combos that you will never see in a real fight because the opponent is not going to just stand there and let you start them, much less finish them. The devs simply go "oh this can combo into this, I guess this can be a combo tutorial" without realizing just how fun, satisfying or strategic any of these combos actually are to do.
"I'm always wondering if there's a critical misunderstanding of something fundamental that the games themselves just don't think to explain." - You mean like juggling, whiff punish, knowing frame counts of specific moves and frames of recovery, etc. Not much fighting games have explained these fundamentals to new players, unless you specifically go looking for these statistics. Back in the day you had to learn all this yourself with no help or guidance at all though.
@@SA80TAGE I understand all of that, but it's specifically with combo trials where they show you the examples that I'm confused. I saw the thumbnail goat and I instantly knew it was for for the Flappy Goat trophy lol (Strategy that worked for me: get as close as possible to the in game tv so that you have the minigame on full screen. I got it in a few tries like this, after hours of suffering)
For the first time, I can finally say I have an achievement that snamwiches has as well. The MK11 tutorial was a nightmare, even coming from an MK lover myself. Now that MK1 is out, I find the combos and tutorial for that game infinitely easier.

Glad to see I actually have a couple of these (halo and mk11). Another suggestion is some of the final fantasy x achievements dodging lightning, chocobo race and chests, and the chocobo training come to mind. I think you need to do them to unlock the ultimate weapons for some characters.
I remember getting the achievement in Halo 5 where you solo the campaign on legendary with some skulls active and I remember it being so annoying. It took me maybe a week and almost had to restart after the AI teammates got glitched and permanently stuck on an elevator almost at the end of the game. It almost broke me but by some miracle the game decided to correct itself and my progress was saved
What a fun idea for a video! I remember going for the Halo and Deus EX achievements, and honestly, they give off the same frustrating energy. Well done, buddy!
As someone with well over 300 hours in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, I can totally understand how the hardest achievement in a fighting game is the tutorial combos.
Nice one Snams, fun concept. I think ones like this every now and then mix things up pretty well. I still have nightmares about that damn Flappy Goat as well, got it eventually, but my sanity never recovered...
I knew before this video started "if you came to hear me beg" would be on the list. The name of that achievement isnt a reference to the elite its a reference to how the game will reduce you to BEGGI G it to play ball and let you get the achievement. Because even when you land the assasination sometimes the game just goes "nope sorry doesnt count"
Here are 2 annoying and stupidly difficult ones... 'Don't Think, Feel' from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and 'Monolithic Achievement' from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony. Let's just say the former requires a ton of skill and the latter is more about puzzle solving than actual skill. Don't Think, Feel requires you to complete all of a characters combo challenges and Monolithic Achievement requires you to get an S ran on the hardest difficulty in the Treasure Hunter minigame. Oh, and speaking of Persona 4 Arena, in the first arena game, there is an achievement where you have to complete EVERY CHARACTER COMBO CHALLENGE!!!!
You should go for Final Fantasy IX's Hail to the King achievement, it's absolutely awful. You have to get 1000 jumps in jump rope and it takes over 7 minutes of intense focus.
One of the ones that was more difficult than it had any business being was an achievement in Stray that required you to avoid any damage in an encounter with these annoying jumping leech enemies. It wasnt absurdly difficult, but it took me longer than the speedrun of the game.
Remember spending several frustrating hours on flappy goat, and eventually gave up. Came back months later and did it just for fun, and got it on the first try. Ended up getting the platinum thanks to that, and I learned that sometimes the hardest achievements/trophies will come to you even if you don’t try for them
lol thats def me playing batman arkham city. after actually trying hard and failing over and over, gave up, picked it up again after a couple years then beat all the bosses in one attempt just screwing around for fun xD
Good job on all the achievement snam! It's awesome seeing all these little achievements being done as well as the crazy big ones you've done in the past. That in mind, I don't know where to submit ideas for hard achievements, but one I did a while ago that you reminded me of here was deus ex mankind divided. A while ago I did a "I never asked for this" pacifist run while completing all side quests. Having seen some of the madness you've done historically I'm sure this is easily within your abilities, though I'm not certain I'm in the right place to submit this and I'm sure you have a million other achievements you're thinking about going for as well. Thanks for the awesome video and best of luck on the achievement hunting dude.
Whilst it's not a achievement itself, it's a step for an achievement. I tried to 100% Red Dead Redemption 2 a while back because I had nothing better to do for the past few days, so I started scouting out animals, collecting plants and so on. roughly 80% through, I realized something, I never examined all of the animals on Guarma during the campaign, and I was currently in the prolog. Meaning I basically wasted all those weeks playing the game up until this point, only to realize that I failed due not examining animals on a mission arc that lasts less than an hour if you speedrun it.
You don’t have to get all the animals to get the “100%” it’ll even say in completion 100% as long as you do the hunter challenges and the other things on the list. And you can always do another play through to get the skin and study all the animal Achievement
Not gonna lie, seeing more of these vids would be fun. Easier to find particularly funny achievements that won't require intensive commitment to a specific game, though in a way a lot of those can be fun to see you build towards too.
I have a big discrepancy with the Trophy/Achievement hunting community. Although I mostly only 100% the games I genuinely enjoy… when you look at lists online the difficulty ratings are all over the place to the point it’s not a variant. That’s why I have my own standards. And those standards are that as a functional human being, your time is valuable. If your platinum/100% took 100 hours, you do deserve respect. 100 hours is over half the time you might have to spend attending an education course. Or a great amount of time to spend mastering a hobby, in 100 hours you can get the basics down of an instrument, or know the kind of equipment worth buying when skiing, diving, etc. So what I’m saying is that I respect people who have the Fortnite 100% deserve praise for wasting 500 hours of their life grinding. So if an achievement is skill dependent but short like the MK tutorial I don’t rate that high cause I have the skill to do it fast. But if the achievement is like DR1 7 day survivor I rate it the highest difficulty cause playing a non-stop 8 hour session is crazy dedication. In short, online difficulty ratings come from no-lifers who lack skill IMO, so the more they the game sucks away from you, the higher it is in my difficulty rating.
Well going for the platinum in ONE playrhrough on HARD diff. While not setting off any alarm, doing all the level related trophies as well, only to have the NO KILLS trophy glitch out on me😢. 10 years later I tried again and finally got it😂😭.
I remember only spending one day to get the “if they came to hear me beg” achievement I mostly just turned on UA-cam to pass the time and started grinding attempts.
There is a really easy way to do the deep impact achievement, basically what you wanna do is once one of the islands get lifted into space by a tornado you'll want to fly under it and the impact of it coming back down will put you directly under the current if you position yourself correctly
11:31 I got the achievement by parking my ship under one of the islands and following it up when it gets launched into space and remaining underneath it when it falls back onto the planet so that it pushes me underneath the current.
Dues Ex Mankind Divided has given me trouble since for some reason for the life of me I couldn't unlock the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement in it. The achievement for not being detected and for some reason it just wouldn't pop no matter how many times I ran through the game. Haven't played it in years and but maybe now it'd work if I gave it another try.
Best part about the Reach one is that it calculates the impact on the enemy as part of the fall distance. With that jump you can land on an enemy and survive. So even if you get the backstab, if your arc was too wide it won't count because the game knows you would have landed on the enemy and lived. Took me like 3 'successes' before one counted because of that back in the day.
That first achievement did make a comback in mcc for a time as a challenge. It was called "Because You Begged" you got a special helmet for completing the challenge. I believe it was called the Mr Chief helmet. It was kinda bugged because you could preform it perfectly but the challenge wouldn't register. Took me about 2 hours and multiple times managing to actually perform the jump only for it not to register.
As someone with a decent amount of editing experiance, the post production achievement joke had me fucking wheezing. Best laugh ive had in awhile. Would have taken me forever to do that too 😂
This was a great video mate!!! That MK11 tutorial was a real pain in the booty and I still haven't recovered from getting it done lmao 🤣 Keep smashing out the great content! 🤘😎🤘
Thanks for your uploads snam. You always brighten my day. Laying in my bed just chilling and watching your videos it bring a smile to my face. Thank you❤
Dont worry about the MK trials, I don't know about the difficulty of those in particular but fighting game trials tend to get hard even for the best. And you got it eventually so great job dude.

11:03 that was the move, that made Hebron cry.
"Youre asking too much of me" i feel like you would have a heart attack at guilty gear combos
Woah there champ. Chief surfed his way to Earth on a piece of debris he ripped from the Key ship. Not every Spartan is as gigachad as the chief.
You should try to get “The Full Spelunky” on Spelunky 2. It can take up to 100-200 hrs to get though. 😅
That Flappy Goat achievement was a royal pain. I set that as my Xbox background image for so long after finally getting it.
That Halo: Reach achievement took me hours. Carters and Emile’s lines are still burned into my brain
You’re reaction to some of those flappy goat game overs had me in tears 😂😂
Loved the format of this video
With the benefit of hindsight, that Detroit Pistons joke is even better.
Its been a couple of months since ive watched snam....now i can binge a few vids from snam!
rolled up boxed beds are still wild to me. i remember the old days of heavy ass beds and two burly men carrying them.
Seeing Flappy Goat straight up triggered my fight or flight response
I really wish you added the "that's quite big, impressive" meme in the Flappy Goat part lmao
That first achievement has you looking like dudes from the top rope trying to dive on Samoa Joe😂😂😂
As someone with a decent amount of editing experiance, the post production achievement joke had me fucking wheezing. Best laugh ive had in awhile. Would have taken me forever to do that too 😂
The Halo assassination achievement was super fun for me - I just kept launching of that cliff - as soon as you said that achievement - I smiled.
This was a great video mate!!! That MK11 tutorial was a real pain in the booty and I still haven't recovered from getting it done lmao 🤣 Keep smashing out the great content! 🤘😎🤘
Also thanks fam , I needed that .
You look good today aswell 😅.
If you think about it, the first achievement is basically just landing a market garden
Thanks for your uploads snam. You always brighten my day. Laying in my bed just chilling and watching your videos it bring a smile to my face. Thank you❤
As soon as I saw mk11 and outer wilds my eyes were locked in
While there isn't a If They Came to Hear Me Beg achievement in MCC, performing the same action unlocks the "Mister Chief" helmet.
Bro, I got that halo reach achievement on accident during firefight mode with the homies.
Your editing is just S-tier
Master Chief survived falling from space due to armor lock and door.
Dont worry about the MK trials, I don't know about the difficulty of those in particular but fighting game trials tend to get hard even for the best. And you got it eventually so great job dude.
Man said just "hard ones" and showed LASO. That is a hilarious understatement.
Yes sir that Reach achievement was insane, I remember trying it over and over and over. Shit I remember like all of my friends getting it before me and I was stuck doing it forever.
Snamwiches: I'm going to do all the most annoying Xbox achievements.
Audience: Oh, this should be goo-
Snamwiches: **Boots up Reach** Here we go.
Audience: He was a courageous man who shall be fondly remembered.
Bro noble 6 fell out of a exploding covenant cruiser and survived FROM SPACE
I enjoy this style of video. Keep them coming
If you want a particularly annoying cheevo, try podium placing in the crew. Should be simple enough right? Just win a team race in public matchmaking. Well that's where you're wrong bucko. Simply getting into a public lobby is a 4 hour affair!
16:58 The highlight for me is the hit boxes being bigger than you expect.
Sadly, each yellow stain on my mattress is a memory of someone I once loved
