- A Xiaolin Retrospective: Kids WB’s Hidden Gem | Remembering Xiaolin Showdown
Join me as I take a deep dive into Xiaolin Showdown, one of Kids WB’s hidden gems from the early 2000s. This action-packed series brought us epic battles, unforgettable characters, and a unique mix of adventure and humor that made it a standout among Saturday morning cartoons. In this retrospective, I’ll explore the show’s history, break down the iconic Shen Gong Wu showdowns, and discuss why Xiaolin Showdown remains a nostalgic favorite for many. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to this classic, let’s celebrate the magic of Xiaolin Showdown and why it deserves a place in the hall of 2000s cartoon greats.

Great job and thank you for giving this cartoon more attention and recognition! I love this series so much and it definitely deserves more praise and recognition!
Xiaolin Showdown even has a video game.
I was in the target audience at the time and I absolutely loved Xiaolin Showdown!! It had plot, it had magic, but most of all it had characters!! I loved the interpersonal dynamics a lot. It was also really neat how different Shen Gong Wu were vehicles for showing character traits/flaws or could be used to teach us lessons. Also I really enjoyed the art style - the fantastical arenas that the showdowns took place in being a huge highlight of most episodes!
Great video!
Same here. I remember being so shocked when Wuya was finally human. Same with Chase Young too. Looked forward to each new episode every time. All these years later and still love it!
Same here, me and my brother loved this show.
The contrast between "Xiaolin Showdown" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is pretty interesting. The creators for "Avatar: The Last Airbender" were largely inspired by East Asian culture, but the creator of "Xiaolin Showdown" was actually raised in it.
ATLA was inspired by South Asian and East Asian culture
@@michaelsingh2828It's still an interesting contrast.
Me and my brother loved watching this show along with other lesser knowns like Nick’s Yakkity yak and Kappa mikey.
the 2003 version also air on cartoon network
I want someone to showdown with me :/
@@BSapproved gotta get a Shen gong Wu first
As much as I like Xiaolin Showdown, I thought Loonatics Unleashed was Kid's WB's hidden gem?
