    I was skeptical reading the comments. However, this is the video lesson I have been looking for. It’s perfect just sat here on my couch absorbing it all in.
    Thank you for teaching it in such a way that this AuDHD 52 year old can fully understand grasp and use straight away. Just subscribed to your channel as well. 🙏

    Hi Shane, thanks for all you do with your instructions, explanation , manner and care helping people learn. I understand timing and strumming patterns a lot more thanks to you. I’m 66 and have not played guitar for over 30 years. It’s a work in progress and I’m getting heaps of joy from playing. Early days, growing slowly. All the best to you and your family for Xmas. Kindest Regards Pete (Australia)

    The timing is messed up...

    Just a further suggestion is to tap your foot to the metronome. Once you are able to internalize tapping with the metronome, it’s easier to internalize it AND you can keep the rhythm better when you don’t have a metronome. I fought this for YEARS, refusing to tap my foot, till I started to learn finger style delta blues. The foot became imperative to maintaining that steady thumb. I notice you also tap your foot.... great practice. GREAT set of lessons.... and love your instruction on other songs.

    Hello Shane, Are you using the BeatBuddy as your Metronome in this video? I watched your Neil Young, Four Strong Winds video in which you used the BeatBuddy at 110 BPM. I am a newbie player who wants to play all of Neil Young's best acoustic songs. And I would like to have a BeatBuddy Drumming Machine / Metronome to assist me. The reviews of the BB are mixed with it being said that it is difficult to program, not for beginners and expensive to add songs at $5 each. I would like to see you do a tutorial on it so that I can see what it can do for me, right out of the box. I am not a programmer. Also, what additional pieces of equipment and pedals would need to be purchased to set it up to work effectively. Your reply would be much appreciated.

    • @GuitarAtWork
      @GuitarAtWork  3 роки тому

      Thank you for that - I am indeed using the Beatbuddy as a metronome. I have never had to program it at all - I have only used the pre programmed beats it came with. I basically just press ‘GO’.
      Best, Shane

      @@GuitarAtWork I was hoping for a better answer on how to use the BB. For example, How did you know which beat to choose? Since we are working with acoustic guitar playing, It would be nice if you could explain how the BB can be used to select the preprogrammed beats and BPM etc... I just learned about this machine from watching the Four Strong Winds tutorial. The Singular Sound Website demo is geared towards the hard playing electric guitar crowd.
