There are not many idols that great in singing low notes and high notes. Jongho is one of that idol. I'm glad that their company hire vocal teacher and all of them still learning to improve their vocals. Jongho will improve his technique to be better and keep getting better. Even singers that already expert in singing also keep learning and improves because they want to keep doing great when singing on stage.
He's not just a singer, he's a mesmerizing interpreter, someone who can pour his feelings into the song and perfectly convey these emotions in a way it can reach any type of audience and catch all the attention immediately, and that's what makes him the best damn vocalist of this generation. Jongho brings a very special element to their group that I've noticed in very, very successful groups like SHINee and BTS. His vocal prowess and distinct sound makes it very, very hard to cover. He's literally reshaping the expectation of kpop vocalists, as he should. I've been privileged to listen to him live in concert and his vocals are not only impressive, but a treat to listen to. It feels like standing in front of the pearly gates with those heavenly high notes.
This video truly made my day. I also sent it to a few friends who have been resistant to the charms of Ateez and Kpop in general and... I think I am inching them closer. 😉
