I like the idea of it, but I’m wondering really why you would use a cash envelope for things like mortgage, savings, and such, as those things are monthly and your not going to pay cash for them. And it would seem thatany kind savings would be better immediately deposited into an interest bearing account. Not knocking it, just don’t quite see why? Maybe, someone could let me know how it works? Thanks.
I really like how you included saving challenges in your monthly binder, I think another possibility is seasonal goals or planned spending that only comes up in the summer like summer camps or whatever. But it seems like each season just has its own unique needs you might want to set aside for. What do you think of that? 😊

Because of my budget and our recent move, we filling the 'monthly binder' every 2 months...so we are stretching filling the savings portion over 2 months until we get comfortable enough to do it every month.
