Of course the tone etc is just wonderful. But what I find so superior is the absolute sense of perfect timing and knowing where each note belongs with the proper emphasis. I believe that is just inborn and developed and he has it. A big future is ahead. Look forward to more and more.
Congrats Daehan, this is simply perfect , I would like to see you playing a jody jazz DV , a theo Wanne , a Beechler Bellite Custom a Oleg and a Guardala. all metal mouthpieces
oh my, you sound amazing, im 15 and i play sax, but compared to you i sound like crap... anyways, if i could get the sound track and sheet music ( if you used sheet music ), as well as the sheet music to greg vails europa at kennyflems@gmail.com, id love that very much. again, amazing sound, i can only work hard and hope i sound like you. thank you for this video, and dont stop posting, i have been thoroughly inspired by your saxophone genius!
Might I suggest going to the Phil Barone web sight and read his thread on " getting tone" for sax. Also research different mouthpices. I was similar to what you are going through, as a sax player for sound, when I was 15. But when my sax teacher helped me with better sax embouchure and support the next day, my band teacher thought I had purchased a new mouthpiece, but I was on the same closed tip classical mouthpiece I had been using.
+joe ag Okay I saw you posting this like more than once on his videos. I actually checked a couple videos of Eric Marienthal playing this song on a couple different videos, and while their tones are similar you can't just say he's just fingering over the notes lol...plus there were obvious little differences in their playing...
Wrong, listen to Eric marienthal stand by me. If you have a real musicians ears you can hear the same exact everything on Eric's recording, this kid just has some compression added to the tone to make it sound slightly different. Go to music college kids!

How do you live with yourself faking videos? This is Eric marienthal on sax

+joe ag I think it would seriously be harder to learn to fake play a Marienthal recording than to just actually get good at sax...
+joe ag similar setup (selmer + arb /beechler) with good practicing and recording setup brought us this.
exactly right
