Title: Optimal Quantum Control for Superconducting Qubits
Abstract: Originally pioneered in spin resonance and AMO physics, optimal quantum control can also be applied to superconducting qubits. This application has its own challenges, specifically in the requirement of having a very accurate model of the qubit system at hand. This talk will introduce optimal control theory and show several types of applications: Optimal control as a tool for discovery of analytical techniques [1], as a tool for determining speed limits and resource estimates, and the integration of control with benchmarking and system identification [2], which allows improvement and debugging of hardware platforms [3]. In the end, we will speculate, how quantum control can bring together the paradigms of quantum simulation, adiabatic quantum computing, and gate-based quantum computing under one big tent.

The Quantum Computing Seminar Series is a deep dive into various academic and research topics within the quantum community. It will feature community members and leaders every Friday, 12 PM EDT.
Excellent talk, thank you Prof Wilhelm-Mauch.
this needs timeline notations, like 0:00 "this" .... 01:35 "that" ... 04:55 "that" etc
Then do it
