Put a bunch in my shopping cart to try, but when it said $25 shipping I decided to wait until after the holidays. Charlie says it is awesome though, so looking forward to it.
And I wish gm had done a better job at painting my colorado. It's obvious modern car manufacturers are trying to save pennies by not painting the hard to get to places. As my wifes mustang has the same problem. Blue 2017 zr2, blue 2016 mustang gt, both have thin paint in the door jams, engine bays, between the cab and fenders, and in the trucks case, between the cab and bed. I reached out to gm complaining about the crappy paint job and crooked bed on my brand new Colorado, their response was "take it to the dealership". The point of me contacting gm was because these are assembly line/manufacturing problems. When i noticed the bed of my truck was not centered on the cab or rear bumper, I looked at 7 other new colorados. Including mine, 6 out of 8 had crooked beds. I've owned over 10 vehicles in the last 16 years ranging from 1984 to 2002 model years. Not one of those older vehicles had the paint issues of these new vehicles. Maybe you're in a position to do something about the quality control of these trucks, or maybe you can pass on my concerns to someone that can. I just think it's pretty crappy for customers to pay nearly $50,000 on a brand new Colorado from the dealership and find a crooked bed and lacking paint job. This was my first brand new vehicle, so I didn't assume I had to look so meticulously at it, as I had done when I bought all my other used vehicles. I'm starting to feel like an old man ranting about how things were better in the old days. But I'm 32 years old and have the proof that paint jobs were better in the old days, in the 5 vehicles in my garage with factory paint, ranging from 84 to 02 that don't have thin paint in the hard to get to areas.
Sweet paint Job!! Want to get that body for my Honcho... Been can painting for to long, need to give airbrushing a try. We have the 66 Ford and the trail boss body's to paint soon.
Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it. I'm currently researching airbrushes to spray your paint. I assume the paint is thinned since your site recommends a .5 tip whereas the HP-CS comes with a .3 tip. It's that correct?
Yes, the paint is pre-thinned ready to spray using a .5mm tip. For the HP-CS, there is a .5mm conversion (others call it medium tip). When using the .3mm (fine tip) a few drops of reducer in the cup will help it flow (about 5-10% reducer per how much paint is in the cup). There's lots of airbrushes out there that have multiple size tips to choose from.
It’s a gravity fed Iwata Eclipse HP-CS. There’s many types of airbrushes out there. Our paint is ready to spray with a .5mm tip. No need for reducing. The smaller tips like.35mm will work to, but you may need to reduce the paint with a few drops in the cup.

We backed this Chevy Colorado body with the same Black Pro-Line R/C Body Paint. It dries into a smooth matte finish and is fairly durable in most driving conditions.
geniusanthony they would be acrylic paints you should be able to fix small problems as you go. Really fine sandpaper if dry or lots of options if it’s still damp. But plastic being the way it is you may still have some specs where you cleaned
Hi Caden Menholt, Our masks are designed in Adobe Illustrator and then cut out of adhesive masking material with a plotter cutter. This can also be done with masking tape or liquid mask. We hope this answers your question. Thanks for your interest and support!
You guys did a great job with this paint. Hopefully it’s durable! It’s so nice to work with

What’s the thinners for this paint water or solvent
Where did you get those cool stickers? They look so fresh on this body with those colors
For nitro bodies what do you spray on after painting to protect it from the nitro fuel
Hi @Robert Truesdell,
I would suggest a very thick backing coat sprayed in layers.
Can't wait to try these paints! What airbrush is being used in this video?
That's an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS

Are these paints good for hard bodies as well, or just lexan?
These will work well on hard bodies as well👍
Are you going to make pressure packs
What model airbrush gun you are using in the video? I want to start out with the equipment your using. Please respond.

Are these water based paints or do they need special cleaners for them
Hi KnightHawk RC Kustoms,
Yes, these are water based paints.
Nice I’ll be adding some to my supplies. What do you guys recommend for a backer
We backed this Chevy Colorado body with the same Black Pro-Line R/C Body Paint. It dries into a smooth matte finish and is fairly durable in most driving conditions.
So, is this is an acrylic? If I mess up, does it come off, and what do I use for clean up?

Nice idea but these paints will never be found in the E.U ☹️ shame really
There paint is too thick for a 0.5 at 30psi. its gets block. It needs to be reduced.
