My skin really likes glycerin. I have two bottles of Heritage Store’s Rosewater & Glycerin facial mist that I use whenever I feel like “setting” my makeup, or more often on my bare skin, before moisturizer, when it’s feeling extra dry/irritated.

I just love your recommendations especially when it comes to your drugstore makeup and drugstore mascaras. As a Cantonese/Taiwanese girl, I struggle with long straight lashes. So I tend to go for waterproof and volumizing mascaras. As for testing new drugstore makeup, Idk if you have a dollar general near you, but I think you would really really like the Believe Beauty brand there. The believe beauty foundation is really nice and is $5. It's a natural finish (dewey ish) foundation that wears beautifully. Praying for you and love you sm!

Hi Dacey, thank you for your review on these drugstore products. I’m a mostly high end/luxury girl, however I do like the liquid L’Oréal Infallible Freshwear foundation. I have dryer skin. That foundation spreads on the skin, doesn’t emphasize lines, wrinkles or texture and wears all day. I’m interested in the powder version more as a finishing powder. For drugstore pricing I’m a big fan of elf or Colourpop. 💜💚💜

I went to CVS and picked up that revlon lipstick after finishing the video 🤣 Upon opening it I was worried bc it looked super brown. After applying lightly and tapping it with my finger on my lips, it ended up being the rosy tone that it looks like on Dacey. It still pulls a little more brown on me but that goes to show that things can look different from person to person!

I love the Wet N Wild Impossible Primer. It reminds me of the Becca Zero Pigment Foundation that everyone hated, but I definitely loved lol.
I like to use the WNW primer the same way I use the Becca product - on bare skin with no makeup, or as a primer under foundation. It also works wonders under my eyes to stop my concealer from creasing without any greasiness.
I have a couple backups of the Becca No Pigment Foundation because I love it so much, but I'm happy to have an alternative now that Becca will be going out of business. And at a drugstore price, I'm happy to have an alternative!

I also love the maybelline ice lip gloss because it reminds me of the dior gloss in Beige, very milky pink but not too milky lol
A primer I really like it the new nyx marshmallow primer!! I know it seems kind of gimmicky lol but it makes my skin look so smooth and satin you have to try it

How does the Air Volume hold your curl? I accidentally picked up the non-waterproof version and didn't like it, I think because I always wear waterproof because I have sad, straight, droopy lashes that won't hold a curl either.

I know I can ALWAYS trust your mascara recs! 💕I know you said you like the shade soft black in your brow pencil but judging from this video, your hair is a very warm toned dark color and your brows appear more cool toned. I have natural, non-dyed Asian dark hair and even the black brow pencils pull way too strong, dark, and cool-toned on me. I find dark brunette shades in brow pencils more flattering and helps me avoid the cartoonish/Groucho Marx look. 😅

I love getting drugstore recommendations from you! I love the variety of the products you use and recommend. Thank you for the lovely content - beautiful editing! I’m also loving the Infallible powder foundation. For me, it’s pretty much full coverage on its own, but like you I prefer it as a setting powder. It’s great to layer over foundation/concealer to build up coverage, which I what I do over blemishes or hyperpigmentation. And like you said, great for touch-ups, which I feel is especially perfect for the mask-wearing world we currently live in. 😷

Silicone primers are supposed to stop you from getting oily by filling in your pores but they make me super oily lol it’s so weird

I heard Robert Welsh talk about this, and he said the silicone helps the oil spread evenly across the face, and so the oil from one place on your face could potentially migrate and make you look more oily. Can’t remember the specifics of it, but he mentioned the porefessional from benefit as an example. I have normal/dry skin, and i also cannot use heavy silicone primers because the makeup moves around as the natural oils come through 🤷🏼♀️

I bought the LOreal Infallible powder with the purpose of a powder foundation and I didn’t care for it either. It’s a fantastic setting powder, but it looks terrible as a foundation. I have normal to oily skin, so powder foundation usually looks really good. The It Cosmetics celebration Illumination Foundation is also an amazing powder foundation.

I had the exact same experience with the “foundation in a powder”. I will also be using it as a setting powder. Could never wear alone. It looked horrible !

I went to Target today for new spring clothes and shoes and got few makeup products , I almost got the revlon lipstick but I wasn't sure which nude shade so I got the photoready rose glow primer only from them and the lifter gloss stone from Maybelline instead 🤷🏻♀️ I grabbed the new blush brush from Sonia Kashuk in mint green color 👍🏻also the halo glow powder from elf 🤩

I wonder if you would like the loreal age perfect powder foundation as a setting powder, I've been hearing more mature skin loving it but I wonder if it looks good on dry textured mature skin, I wonder if it would age my skin more than help have a luminous satin setting powder?? What are your thoughts on the loreal age perfect line btw or the milani supercharged line??
