Never eat both ends of a loaf of bread (spells financial ruin i think?) and never put your purse or wallet on the floor (keep at waist level or higher). oh and never leave a rocking chair rocking...those are the ones off the top of my head. i just always remembered it was always some new superstition when i was growing up

The 'not facing in the north while sleeping' sort of has a quite good reason. The blood flows north to south in our body, and when we face north, our body's blood flow get quite messed up. This happens because we all know that the electromagnetic field is the strongest in the north. That is what my father told me, and he is not at all superstitious
And fun fact.. the sleeping thing-the reason it seems is the fact that there is more intensity of magnetic waves in the north. it is not good in the long run (that is what my grandma said)
