?? Really? On a Pom? I guess you don’t agree with AKC standards? This surprises me since I watch go groomer also. I would love a detailed reason on why this acceptable except for not educating your clients when they insist and then I would refuse. I guess this is a groomers and owners choice but they should know the risks and consequences.
I have a Pom and I try every summer for her pretty cut ! I’ve just bought her new clippers I should had got two different types of scissors. I love my Sissy❤
Thank you for sharing this. I have a 2 year old black pomeranian and I always took her to a groomer but recently with my new job and the groomer relocating it's been difficult to coordinate appointments. So I'm slowly learning how to groom her myself. Luckily she is very tolerant and patient (especially when there are treats involved).
Thank you for watching. 🙂 What if I told you that we will publish a grooming course for dog owners soon? Stay tuned. That would be good for your home grooming performance. 🤘👍😀
I thought this Pom was cuter before the cut. They're fluffy dogs, this was way too short. It also took more time than is usual, the dog can only stand so long. My Pom's hair was long and I kept it brushed, it always looked really nice. She also loved her bath, she liked the massage with the shampoo that came with it, didn't want to get out.
She could be following the instructions of what the owners asked for. I agree about your shortness comment but she does a superb of making certain it is well rounded from every angle. That shows her high level of skill at her craft. I would love to her her groom my Pom (once he grows into his adult fur - he's still a super soft puffball puppy.)
I think it does mess up the fur. I have a pom and I keep her coat long but they do a tapered shave on her butt for hygiene. It is still kept pretty long but it kind of looks like this dog looks all over. It grows out super funky. I get her groomed every month and her booty always looks patchy and weird by the time she gets groomed next. I think it would be like that all over.
It is way to short ! It will damaged there hair so much. Just make sure that if u want to give your dog a haircut that it is not in their undercoat because it is a protection against the cold and warmth
It does not damage the Pomeranian's coat to scissor it short like this. It actually keeps the coat fuller and healthier...I'm a retired groomer (over 35 years as a groomer) and professional dog show handler.
@@lillieemery... The irregular patchy growth is caused by improper scissoring or clipping technique. Not by excellent skills like this... You saw this dog's coat, grown out, at the beginning of the video. Pomeranians , like any other breed, (or humans hair) are all different coat wise... Results may vary... But proper, excellent grooming techniques and skills like this do not damage the coat.
There's a lot of combing and clipping looks tiresome. is there a reason you didn't use the Clippers with a guard and then switch after the hair was low?
I gather you are in a warmer climate to cut her that short. The finished look is fantastic. I didn't see you give the tail a nice horizontal trim while holding it straight up from the floor. Not much is taken off but it really makes a difference the way the tail lays and feathers nicely over the back. Perhaps the owners asked that you leave the tail completely natural. I was looking forward to see a closeup of you trimming the claws and the cleaning of the ears. Do you have another video that focuses on these areas? I really enjoyed your clip. That's a really good tip to have separate squirt bottles for diluting both the shampoo and conditioner. Can you also use a spritz of a leave-in conditioner on problem areas?? (Like the hair behind the outer corner of the ears?)
All scissors are P&W butterfly, clipper is wahl arco mini cordless, comb is show tech big brother, brush is also show tech, shampoo and conditioner are Chris Christensen - line Ice on Ice. :)
New subscriber here. Thank you for your video. Can you tell me what kind of shampoo and conditioner you use? I'm confused which one would be best to use on my pom. Theres so many out there.Thank you
Hi I have a question. I see you have something in the bottles and then top off with water. The bottle looks like 28 ounce? how much shampoo & conditioner do you put in it?
Hi. Well, that depends to shampoo, because they are not all the same. They are concentrated and usualy i put lika a 3 or 4 spoons on one liter water botle.
This is not AKC and you should not cut a Pomeranian. There is such a thing as Pomeranian Alopecia. Double coated dogs should not be cut like this especially a Pomeranian. I have one who is gorgeous and everywhere we go, I get stopped and get compliments. He is so easy to care for, please go to grande style on UA-cam and learn about Pomeranians. This cut will only look ok for a short period of time and it hurt the coat too. Also you can go to AKC and educate yourself.
👏👏👏Perfect Groom!
Thank you ❤

When you show the dog wrapped up in big towel and showed it’s quiet face it look like a baby seal 🦭 😊
He is such a good little Pom ❤️
Thank you ❤
He’s such a cutie. Love those beautiful big eyes. Great cut. Nice that you take time to scissor cut. Most just do the shave down. Great groom ❤️❤️❤️

Wonderful and beautiful groom.
Thank you!
I have a Pomeranian and Pomeranian poodle 🐩🐶
You did an amazing job! I have a 5 month old pom and I was hoping to get a similar cut for him. How short did you cut body? This won't damage his fur?

Awww so cute 😍
I can't resist giving my girl a squirrel tail!
Everyone wants to see everything dog and people 🎉
How young can you start grooming a Pom? And how often ?
The pup should at least be 8 weeks old. Brushing everyday and washing at least once a month or whenever the pom is dirty.
pies-chlebek 😊😂
Ekstra ste (da neko pohvali i Baneta za snimanje i editing😁)
Hahaha! Bane je glavna zvezda 😃
Hvala Milose! :D
Minute 18:44 OMG, the Pom is at the edge of the table without a leash 😬 she/he could had fallen 🥺
Don't worry, he is our old customer, we know his actions. :)
How do you know you’re not accidentally cutting the undercoat?
We call that - experience and knowledge. 🙂👍
What scissors are used and what manufacturers
There's a lot of combing and clipping looks tiresome. is there a reason you didn't use the Clippers with a guard and then switch after the hair was low?
I have the same question!

👍
This is a really great video. thank you! Is it possible to list the names and brands of your scissors?
Thank you! I am glad that you like it! 😊 Of course I can. Scissors are P&W butterfly. Chunk scissors are P&W, too. But omega line. 🙂

Good kteed
Thanks!
Muy buen trabajo. La pena es no poder ver el corte más cerca.
Me ha extrañado q no toques la cola, q no la hayas recortado ni un poquito.
Idk I’ve got 2 poms & trim seems a bit too much off
ok :)
Sie liftet the back legs much too far up. The joints of pomeranians are very sensitive to dislocation. Not well done

Thanks! We are using Chris Christensen
🔝🔝🔝🔝
Thank you! :D
It looks like the groomer is pulling the Pom’s hair so hard, poor thing is shaking.
Is that boy or girl

She needs a break.
Could you kindly reupload but without the stupid music? I realize it's rude but it would be better to just actually hear the real audio.
This was my first video, please be kind. :D And yeah, music is there because we have more dogs and fans in salon...
Please don't use the annoying music. It d be better without any at all. Thanks
This was my first video. I hope that later videos are ok. :)
And yeah, background noise is not better, becouse there are more dogs in salon.
@@GroomHouse that is understandable . Thanks for the reply and I will continue to watch 🙂
