The world is toxic and children have to grow up learning that they can't control what other people do or say just so they can cope with the regular abuse that life throws at them. They have to learn to cope with hunger and wearing shoes three sizes too small because their family can't afford food or clothes. And most of the world just stands and watches it all happen in front of their face.

Exactly, I never paid attention to his lyrics up until yesterday when I started watching his superboql performance with my daughter yesterday. The song Heal the World, was so ahead of the times. It is exactly what is going on in the world today. This song Men in the Mirror brought tears to my eyes. People didn't get it. I watched other videos where he fasted and prayed. So many people misunderstood him including myself. I pray for all those in the entertainment industry that have had to sacrifice who they truly are to become who the world wants them to be. I pray that they will find strength to become who they where created to be spiritually.

That’s a nice sentiment and all but I gotta say, this kinda feels like a misinterpretation of the song. It’s not really a self-help song, I don’t think any lyric has anything to do with fixing personal issues you’re facing in your work life or relationships. The message is even clearer, quite literally “if you want to make the world a better place take a look at yourself and make a change.” That’s the message, that if you’re privileged and don’t do enough to help others, then you gotta make a change and start helping others.
People in top governments around the world can make the changes in the world we live in. And also its the super elite who are very rich and powerful in making decisions about the future of us.
