One thing you missed: In the Nintendo Memes 11 video, when they both get bored while watching the video of Link playing the flute, Meggy rests her head against Mario's shoulder.
Man, from the first episode they introduced Meggy, it was Mario (who for the first time) was actually nice and selfless to someone, which was Meggy when she lost splatfest. From my time watching SMG4, Mario would have never done this for any of his other friends so it surprised me to that side of him, and something told me that these two charcters would be iconic. (Which I ended up being right about) Meggy’s Bootcamp, man…that hit different. That’s when I started shipping them. Because Mario obviously loves spaghetti something he cherishes and let’s nobody touch, he would go as far as to harm someone who would touch his spaghet. but he was willing to give it to Meggy knowing how bad she felt for her actions. The bond they had was honestly something very special. All the videos that these two have been always had these two having each other backs. (besides certain videos 👀) The Final Hours: Mario was worried about Meggy and was trying to get her out of the rubble and was crying when he thought she had died. Little Lost Penguins: Mario trying to rescue Meggy from a momma penguin, and sharing Pizza on a ice block (I think) spending the rest of the day. I could go on but this comment is already very long 😅. So for short, the thing these two have will always be special, and be my OTP.

It was basically just the normal Mario canon until Smg4 showed up with a whole bunch of memes, which caused the residents to become dumb and the original canon to be basically destroyed. I’ve said this in similar videos (and a few official SMG4 videos), but if they’re trying to deny and/or avoid this ship, they’re not doing a very good job of it. Their videos are still good though. Also, to all the “they’re just friends” people, A) that may be true now, but it can change B) some of the best romances start out as good friendships

In my opinion, another hint is in the Mario Goes on a Diet, where at the end Mario admits he was mad at Meggy because she wouldn’t listen, and she admits she just cares about him. It’s actually kinda sad ngl, but in the end Mario ended up losing 1KG that day and survived, and I’m not 100% sure about this but I think they might’ve hugged. I’m indifferent to the ship, but I’ll mention this for the hell of it. There’s a big one that you missed. In Nintendo memes 8, spinning is shown to be a mating dance for squids. In #11, Mario and Meggy are spinning together in one scene. They were doing a mating dance with each other. If that’s not confirmation of the ship, I don’t know what is.
That could be something, but then again it might just be that they forgot about that meme in 8 and made that scene in 11 just for the hell of it. That's something that I'm completely unsure of. I appreciate the information, though! I don't mind if people are indifferent or even dislike the ship as long as they're nice about it.
Nintendo Memes was not canon to the story line and there are some MXM moments. 1st. Meggy got bored and put her head on Mario's shoulder. 2nd. When Mario and Meggy were sinking in the quicksand,they hugged each other. 3rd. In Nintendo Memes 8,if inklings spin,they are mating and Mario and Meggy start spinning. Now here's were the ANTI MXM comes in. Sorry I'm late. Thanks for this compilation. It's hard to ship these two knowing how hated the ship is by so many and Luke & Kevin don't like it either (it'll obviously never be canon since SMG4's Mario only loves spaghetti), but I ship 'em anyway. MxM have such a cute dynamic when written properly. Meggy became popular for a reason -- she made Mario care.
I wouldn't say it won't ever become canon. If you haven't, check out the second newest video by MediExcalibur2012 where he talks about his work at Smg4 as one of the main editors and voice actor for SMG1. There are 2 deleted scenes he made that might give you hope for scenes that actually make the cut.
Btw, Luke and Kevin never actually talked about the ship outright, and based on some of the scenes I showed in this video and in newer episodes, it really feels like they're teasing us shippers. I mean seriously, who just takes their "friend" out for sushi? Not to mention Meggy was smiling in the scene where Mario was faking being gay to try and get a kiss, and Mario sat beside her specifically. I get a feeling that this dream might come true this year.
Huh...never actually considered this. Like yeah they have a solid Brother/sister dynamic, but...COULD there be more. I WOULD like to see a pairing subplot that actually sticks around for a while. Personally I was a bit of a Luigi x Saiko fan myself after the ep where the main green bro teaches her how to BE a friend, and she acts all tsundere at the end~
I personally don't know whether I support Luigi x Saiko or if I'm indifferent. It does have some merit, especially compared to SMG4 x Tari, but there's not enough episodes with Luigi and Saiko together for me to support it too much.
I’d recommend watching the deleted scenes for mario memes with meggy and mario does pranks. Although they are deleted, they have two great moments of the two

There’s one moment you could have added that kind of hints I guess, in The Meme Games 2022 Mario had picked up Meggy in the machine’s hand and used her as a bat. But after that he continued to hold her up out of the way of the battle, making it so she wouldn’t get nessisarily hurt by the robot death laser. While I did include some more obscure instances, they at least had some more merit. And as for any other ships from smg4, this is the only one I support. I don't think smg4 x smg3 will ever happen partially because Smg4 is directly based off of the creator, Luke. I'll be honest , I've been taking a look at the videos there in and tbh , there is a huge possibility that it could happen . The lost tapes and Nintendo claimed this video are great examples and there is another few examples but I can't be bothered finding them (sorry) . I do ship them cause of recent vids
To tell the truth, I like this ship (it crossed my mind the first minute of seeing the dynamics of these 2, I simply told myself "these 2 will either be boyfriends or they will be best friends") and although I would really like it, I like it to be made canon , they won't do it for 2 reasons 1.- people obsessed with the ship 2.- people obsessed with hating the ship It would be very nice and cute to see this in the series, but if they do it it would be difficult to make the same dynamic that we have now, in some episodes you can see how Meggy gets angry with Mario (in Mario Tunnel from Doom at the end he looks like Meggy now to Mario telling him "I hate you" repeatedly for taking credit for getting rid of Tari and Luigi's fear, I honestly believe that if it weren't for Mario having powers to create matter and many other things out of nothing, that episode wouldn't exist xd) but in others She cares about him and it is seen that she loves him, Mario also cares about her in his own way. THE SON OF A BITCH WOULD NOT GIVE HIS SPAGHETTI TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT, HE GIVES RAGE OR SOMETHING EVERY TIME SOMEONE TOUCHES HIM, and yet he gave it to Meggy without thinking about it, in the final hours you can see what Meggy looks like alone with He hears her voice, he doesn't care if she is dying or it is almost impossible to save her, he directly wants to get her out of there in the middle of the battle, and he also looks like when they are. On the boat she searches through all the clues to see if Meggy is there, and it seems. he gets sad for not seeing her, sometimes in some episodes it seems that smg4 wants to make it clear that they do feel something, but other times he tries to deny it, in the episode where smg4 and smg3 are trapped in an elevator meggy and mario rescues them, meggy together 192313913 IQ decides to get on the elevator cable, but Mario tells him that it is better to just go down the stairs and go down, there you can see how Meggy blushes (I don't know why but she does but I do remember that she was blushing) the others They continue as always, they save them and they like them. In conclusion: in a good ship but because of the community itself and the fear of being rejected it is likely that it will never be canon, maybe in my head they feel something canon and no one changes my mind.

Im kninda neutral on this subject. You did bring up some valid points though and i belive that with a bit more MediExcalibur magic on vids with the two, we could get a valid romantic relationship between the two. I think 11 just wasn't canon to the ongoing Lawsuit arc, but still happened either before or after the events. The only episodes that I can safely say aren't canon whatsoever are anything with Meta Runner Tari or N from Murder Drones (so Mario's Multiverse of Madness or AI Generated Memes for example). I'm making a part 2 for my 1000 sub special though, so I'll be sure to clarify that as well as retcon a few scenes I listed in this one.

It should be common knowledge that these two should be a fun pairing of supportive friends, not an abusive relationship. When given to the right hands, like MediExcalibur2012, they can make some of the cutest moments in all of SMG4, both in the episodes and in deleted scenes too. When given to the wrong hands, i.e. the rest of the SMG4 staff, we get Meggy strangling Mario and throwing an axe at his head. I heard rumors that Medi isn’t allowed to work as often anymore because Kevin didn’t like the stuff he’s been adding, and I wouldn’t be surprised because his magic isn’t anywhere in any of the post-It’s Gotta Be Perfect vids. Stuff like this makes working for SMG4 sound like hell. You want to make the characters good and likeable again, but nooooooo, apparently that shit’s not allowed, make way for Mario/Meggy abuse wooooooooo fuck.
I mean, those are only rumors. I tend to take those with a grain of salt. But I do agree that episodes with Mario and Meggy that are made without the help of Medi just end up straining any relationship they had, even friendly. Mario essentially allows Meggy to act goofy when she's otherwise tough and strict, and in turn Meggy tries to get Mario to try new things or just overall be a better person. And don't you notice that Mario treats Meggy better than anyone else? Even better than his own brother! And no, there's nothing wrong with the ship. Even aside from their ages, it's not like Mario and Peach are a thing in the SMG4 universe (especially now). It's just all up to personal preference on whether you ship them or not, but there's nothing to say either side is wrong.

It was basically just the normal Mario canon until Smg4 showed up with a whole bunch of memes, which caused the residents to become dumb and the original canon to be basically destroyed. I’m indifferent to the ship, but I’ll mention this for the hell of it. There’s a big one that you missed. In Nintendo memes 8, spinning is shown to be a mating dance for squids. In #11, Mario and Meggy are spinning together in one scene. They were doing a mating dance with each other. If that’s not confirmation of the ship, I don’t know what is.
That could be something, but then again it might just be that they forgot about that meme in 8 and made that scene in 11 just for the hell of it. That's something that I'm completely unsure of. I appreciate the information, though! I don't mind if people are indifferent or even dislike the ship as long as they're nice about it.

Sorry I'm late. Thanks for this compilation. It's hard to ship these two knowing how hated the ship is by so many and Luke & Kevin don't like it either (it'll obviously never be canon since SMG4's Mario only loves spaghetti), but I ship 'em anyway. MxM have such a cute dynamic when written properly. Meggy became popular for a reason -- she made Mario care.
I wouldn't say it won't ever become canon. If you haven't, check out the second newest video by MediExcalibur2012 where he talks about his work at Smg4 as one of the main editors and voice actor for SMG1. There are 2 deleted scenes he made that might give you hope for scenes that actually make the cut.
Btw, Luke and Kevin never actually talked about the ship outright, and based on some of the scenes I showed in this video and in newer episodes, it really feels like they're teasing us shippers. I mean seriously, who just takes their "friend" out for sushi? Not to mention Meggy was smiling in the scene where Mario was faking being gay to try and get a kiss, and Mario sat beside her specifically. I get a feeling that this dream might come true this year.

I appreciate the suggestions, but the moment you talked about in the meme games I personally think is too obscure and uncertain for me to include it, sorry. While I did include some more obscure instances, they at least had some more merit. And as for any other ships from smg4, this is the only one I support. I don't think smg4 x smg3 will ever happen partially because Smg4 is directly based off of the creator, Luke. The only other ship I could consider is Luigi x Saiko, but there's not much going for that one. But hey, thanks for the suggestions anyway, and thanks for the sub!

To tell the truth, I like this ship (it crossed my mind the first minute of seeing the dynamics of these 2, I simply told myself "these 2 will either be boyfriends or they will be best friends") and although I would really like it, I like it to be made canon , they won't do it for 2 reasons
1.- people obsessed with the ship
2.- people obsessed with hating the ship
It would be very nice and cute to see this in the series, but if they do it it would be difficult to make the same dynamic that we have now, in some episodes you can see how Meggy gets angry with Mario (in Mario Tunnel from Doom at the end he looks like Meggy now to Mario telling him "I hate you" repeatedly for taking credit for getting rid of Tari and Luigi's fear, I honestly believe that if it weren't for Mario having powers to create matter and many other things out of nothing, that episode wouldn't exist xd) but in others She cares about him and it is seen that she loves him, Mario also cares about her in his own way.
THE SON OF A BITCH WOULD NOT GIVE HIS SPAGHETTI TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT, HE GIVES RAGE OR SOMETHING EVERY TIME SOMEONE TOUCHES HIM, and yet he gave it to Meggy without thinking about it, in the final hours you can see what Meggy looks like alone with He hears her voice, he doesn't care if she is dying or it is almost impossible to save her, he directly wants to get her out of there in the middle of the battle, and he also looks like when they are. On the boat she searches through all the clues to see if Meggy is there, and it seems. he gets sad for not seeing her, sometimes in some episodes it seems that smg4 wants to make it clear that they do feel something, but other times he tries to deny it, in the episode where smg4 and smg3 are trapped in an elevator meggy and mario rescues them, meggy together 192313913 IQ decides to get on the elevator cable, but Mario tells him that it is better to just go down the stairs and go down, there you can see how Meggy blushes (I don't know why but she does but I do remember that she was blushing) the others They continue as always, they save them and they like them.
In conclusion: in a good ship but because of the community itself and the fear of being rejected it is likely that it will never be canon, maybe in my head they feel something canon and no one changes my mind.

Im kninda neutral on this subject. You did bring up some valid points though and i belive that with a bit more MediExcalibur magic on vids with the two, we could get a valid romantic relationship between the two. I think 11 just wasn't canon to the ongoing Lawsuit arc, but still happened either before or after the events. The only episodes that I can safely say aren't canon whatsoever are anything with Meta Runner Tari or N from Murder Drones (so Mario's Multiverse of Madness or AI Generated Memes for example). I'm making a part 2 for my 1000 sub special though, so I'll be sure to clarify that as well as retcon a few scenes I listed in this one.

Love is different for everyone, and everyone handles it differently. And 3: I see your point about the spaghetti, but the thing is, Mario is depicted to love it more than anything else, even his own brother. For crying out loud, he has a sexual attraction to it. Edit: To clarify, it’s absolutely disheartening to see these two act like dicks towards each other now. It should be common knowledge that these two should be a fun pairing of supportive friends, not an abusive relationship. When given to the right hands, like MediExcalibur2012, they can make some of the cutest moments in all of SMG4, both in the episodes and in deleted scenes too. When given to the wrong hands, i.e. the rest of the SMG4 staff, we get Meggy strangling Mario and throwing an axe at his head. I heard rumors that Medi isn’t allowed to work as often anymore because Kevin didn’t like the stuff he’s been adding, and I wouldn’t be surprised because his magic isn’t anywhere in any of the post-It’s Gotta Be Perfect vids. Stuff like this makes working for SMG4 sound like hell. You want to make the characters good and likeable again, but nooooooo, apparently that shit’s not allowed, make way for Mario/Meggy abuse wooooooooo fuck.
I mean, those are only rumors. I tend to take those with a grain of salt. But I do agree that episodes with Mario and Meggy that are made without the help of Medi just end up straining any relationship they had, even friendly. And no, there's nothing wrong with the ship. Even aside from their ages, it's not like Mario and Peach are a thing in the SMG4 universe (especially now). It's just all up to personal preference on whether you ship them or not, but there's nothing to say either side is wrong.
