    Great video! Do you know whether the university accepts people if they don’t quite make the grades. E.g. get ABC instead of ABB?

      Yes that’s what kinda happened with me! They offered me an unconditional offer because they liked my personal statement, which means even if you get UUU they have to take you because it’s unconditional. I’d aim to write a good personal statement, highlighting how you’re keen and passionate to learn more about your course. Don’t make out as if you know everything already and maybe mention areas that you’re interested in learning more about as you’ve not studied that part before. Talk about your hobbies briefly too and how maybe they could relate to your course ?? Eg I play piano and so I said I’m good at concentrating on fine details 🤣🤣 (I know it’s far fetched) but yeah, just appear keen. Avoid saying things like “I want to study this course because ever since I was little I’ve loved it” and try and think about / make up a key moment where you realised you wanted to study it. For example, I study history and I said that the defining moment was when I was on holiday in France and I was stood at a memorial for the war, and it was at that moment I realised I wanted to study history because I’d never learnt about the war before. Etc. Sorry for this essay, but yeah if you don’t make the grades there are ways around it, and a good passionate personal statement might get you an unconditional offer (meaning whatever grades you get, they’ll accept you) :) x

    hii i know this is a older vid but which en-suite accommodation would you recommend? everyone says go to George elliot but i don't want to share the bathroom lol

      hi sorry hope it’s not too late - wedderburn is the best en-suite accommodation. Hox Park is very expensive and away from campus :) ❤

    Was freshers ball worth it or not, cuz the tickets are £75 for it this year xx

      I’d say you’d be missing out if you didn’t go, because everyone goes and it’s so much fun. BUT £75 is STEEP… espesh when we’re paying £9k a year already. Is there not a package you can buy that includes all the freshers events? xx

      @@leviackerman5870 I personally think it’s worth going to (I wouldn’t say worth £75) but all the other events are indoors and freshers ball is the only one outside in the grounds like you can see in the vid. It’s a steep price but it’s a good night and you’ll meet lots of people! Xx

    I’m so happy to see you’re in Holloway this is my dream Uni and I’m hoping to attend soon do you guys get curfews? When you leave in campas

    • @helicopter9x
      @helicopter9x  Рік тому +4

      Hi! Nope there are no curfews. You can leave whenever you want. Because we’re all adults it’s not like school. You’re free to do whatever you want 24 hours a day! If you want to come back at 3am one night, you can! :)

    love this! i'm going to rhul in september, do you have any advice on making friends during freshers week? i'm pretty nervous about it xxx

    • @helicopter9x
      @helicopter9x  2 роки тому +7

      Yes! Go to all the freshers events in the day and night, first start by going with your housemates! I was super bold I just stood outside my block and the first group that walked past I said “can I come with you I don’t know anyone” 🤣 and that’s how it started! It’s way easier than you think I promise xx

    hii, i’m going to rhul this september and i just wanted to know whether i should buy tickets or a wristband in advance or wait until i get to uni? and also is the wristband to go to all the events worth it? xx

    • @helicopter9x
      @helicopter9x  2 роки тому

      Hi yes I’d say get the wristband. It’s for all the events! If you don’t get a wristband then you’ll have to queue up on the door and pay and sometimes if it’s full they stop the queue! I think there’s a few options ?? like I think you can get diff types of wristbands, the more expensive one includes the freshers ball! Xx

      @@helicopter9x ahh thank you so much! i was confused as to whether to buy the wristband as there are apparently also events happening outside rhul such as in atik? are those worth buying separately as well? xx

    • @helicopter9x
      @helicopter9x  2 роки тому +1

      @@lallil3678 deffo buy the wristband it saves you so much money and time in the long run. atik have a freshers event but you’ll only go once during freshers, and it’s just whichever day atik choose to host it. no one will be going atik more than once in that week, and everyone goes on the same day. the rest of the days they’ll all be at the uni events which u can see in the vid xx

    • @helicopter9x
      @helicopter9x  2 роки тому +1

      @@lallil3678 I didn’t buy a wristband one year cos I was so confused about it, and then I had to pay for everything separately and queue up on the door whilst all my friends went in! The freshers ball individual ticket alone was something like £60, plus all the events I went to every night, averaging at about £10 on the door, I ended up spending like £180 for entry in total instead of £50-£75 x

      omg do not go to Kingswood it is sooo far out you’ve gotta get a bus all the time. the shared bathroom was completely fine I forgot I was even sharing one! it’s just with one other person, and that’ll be the same gender as you.
