It is a skill to be funny, but it is also a real skill and talent to be the straight man or woman to someone, and it too takes as much comedy brain to pull off as well as Jane does with Lily.

@@wattaaashock3266 In comedy "straight man" just a term used for player, a funny person can bounce stuff from. It creates good energy when you have a scene where the other plays it straight and realistic, and the other goes crazy. Grounding it, helps with selling the sillyness.

I started watching Grace and Frankie a while back and i think i got to Season 1 episode 6 but then i stopped. Not sure why lol since the show itself was great and hilarious! But i will most definitely restart watching it now because they're hilarious and i need to laugh more and more these days! 😂

I think laughter and good friends that you love, and they love you is the secret to a long loving life. Friendship with a real pal and confidant is vital. Otherwise, these ladies have lived different lives, jane a few marriages and high profile life, and Lily a solid longterm relationship and marriage, and a less high profile life. Whatever Jane does, she gets in trouble because its her, though i love her. Lily is more accepted in her actions and moves. Yet both have recieved many many awards from oscars, tonys, emmys, and golden globes. Love em both, they make me laugh, and i pray they do a sequel to 9 to 5 with dolly parton, another great women like these two❤🦋👑🌺
Dolly, though I respect her, looked like a plastic doll without talent. She should thank these two ladies for allowing her some screen time.

The moment when Jane spoke of Ted Turner. Wow. It was a moment I'm sure most people did not process. The look on both of their faces.....and then she went right back into the deal with Lily!!!! How can you not absolutely love that?
Remember...these ladies r in their 80's....cheers to their longevity, let us respect and love our Elders!
Wow...just wow. They have had such a long career and they are still working hard. As much as I'd hate for them to retire, they should. Both have earned it.

Individually, Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin are FABULOUS , together they are PHENOMENAL !! I’ve loved them both for years, their scene credits are so numerous and important; off screen they are always at the cutting edge of social issues. I absolutely adore Grace & Frankie. I am SO sad this show is going to be done! It’s probably going to make me cry when I watch the last episode. But smart shows make an exit while they’re still on top - and this Grace and Frankie was never declining, so they’re brilliant!
Thanks for all the laughs! I look forward to the next adventure. I hope Lily, Jane, Martin, and Sam work together again - the on screen chemistry is just comedic gold! It would be interesting to see them all together with roles in a dramatic movie.

I respectfully disagree. The show was starting to decline at season 6 in my opinion. Not by any fault of the actors. I think the writers took the characters as far as they could and the last two seasons didn’t feel as interesting.
I cried when I watched it but they were happy tears. :)
I binge watched the final season of Grace and Frankie. I will miss them terribly.. Lily has always been my favorite comediennes. Two iconic actors. Congratulations to Lily for her Star on the walk of Fame.

I just love Lily and her support and activism. She is wearing Candy Darling on her shirt. She was Andy Warhols Superstar and a trans pioneer and icon in the 70s. She was only 26 when she died. :( Thank you Lily for honoring our trans sisters, it means the world to know people care about us!

Goodness truly this one of my fav TV series. This was my outlet after my Dad passed away 2 months ago, it help me big time recovering from this emotional turmoils and I finished all the episodes today. I won’t get tired of re watching it💕 Thanks Netflix for this kind of light hearted funny happy relaxing TV series🙏

My mum passed away back in 2018 and grace and Frankie is absolutely what got me through. I can clearly remember being in such grief whilst laughing. This show has meant so much to me, so your comment really resonates xx
They are very funny. I've loved them since they were in 9 to 5 years decades ago. It's hard if Fonda is really that uptight or if it's an act. Lily is a great actress and the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is WAY overdue. I was a big West Wing fan and when she joined the cast it really created some great chemistry between the characters and cast.

When you watch a good show, you get home after work, you cook, you settle the kids, and you sit down to watch their show. Not giving anything away here, but the end of Grace and Frankie was disappointing. I too was expecting to laugh and cry. Instead I was thinking... too much left open. Unless Brianna and Mallory are doing a sequel? Anyway... Jane and Lily... I will deeply miss you. Thank you for bringing aging into the modern world!
