In Australia the Saramonic Witalk is more expensive than the Solidcom SE :( @JPM Have you tested the Saramonic Witalk with whispering? Does it completely noise cancel it? And if so is there an option to turn off noise cancel?
Just bought the 4 set hollyland SE for my filmmaking students for our next featured film. Just awesome piece of gear, but then again not full of people as a wedding :)
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 15 years and in our market I’ve never seen a videographer or photographer use a head set for communication. The past 4 years I’ve been filming more and more weddings with my videographer friend. Every single wedding we have filmed I have thought to myself, man I really wish I could communicate with him in the middle of the ceremony / reception / prep… The part I’m having problems with is looking goofy with a headset on all day
I caught the Solidcom SE's on sale for $160 (2 Pack). I haven't used them on set, but the initial test bothered me. There's a noticeable delay in the audio transmission. It doesn't make them unusable, but if you couple that with dropouts it makes them a bad buy to me. I should have followed my gut and gave Saramonic a try. I just thought Hollyland would uphold a certain standard.
@@AndrewJSims yea honestly the pros are way better. Like insanely good. Honestly doesn’t make sense to me for them to have released this after the fact.
Now let’s find out the audio whispering difference. The c1 always does the job. But over time do they hold up? My husband and I have only rented but eventually still love holleylands for the functionality as well as the reliability, even during ceremony time when we need to switch angles between video and photos. Is it possible you can do audio tests and have us hear it as well with the mic set ups you tested?

Get the job done for half the price and twice the charm-because ‘good enough’ is the Neewer way!”

Great review!!!! I'm so glad could help out with the filming and love using headsets on the wedding day! Game changer for sure! 🔥
You're the real MVP for helping out! 🙏🏼
How does the Saramonic sound when whispering compared to the SE?
Its good. I think Hollyland sounds better but that’s because the noise cancellation isn’t as intense as saramonic

Oh I feel that but remember it's not about looking cool, it's about communication and honestly, most people think you look super legit.

🗣️Everybody and their momma is dropping one!
I mean. I can’t lie. Brands that don’t even specialize in audio at all got headsets 😂
