- This is a Top 50 countdown of our EatSleepYangon hosts. The Top 50 ranking has been compiled based on the total number of views the videos of each host have had. Since 2019 the EatSleepYangon channel has featured a great variety of Burmese hosts in our videos. Our EatSleepYangon hosts showcase the best of Burmese - the traditional food, the lively streets, the urban lifestyle and the beauty of Burmese women. The total view counts for each host do not include shorts videos and livestream appearances. The numbers for this top 50 list were recorded and compiled on the 29th October 2022.

Thanks ESY, thank you Snow for your great editing work! What a fun look at the ESY hosts. I really like Emerald, she was around when I started watching. Whity is awesome. Sweety and Rose are two of my favorite past hosts. So many talented hosts, incredible! The current group is outstanding and will continue to move up on the list. I will keep rewatching my favorites to give them more views.
It would be interesting to see views per video as Michael Chen suggested. Some of the hosts had a huge number of views with very few videos. I wonder if an investigation would reveal a pattern related to content. Or is it the title or thumbnail that gets the clicks? Do thumbnails with delicious food in the image do well? What do the top fifty most viewed videos have in common as it relates to specific content, thumbnail image, title, etc. Do any patterns show up?
Here are some statistics on number of views per video. Remember that some of the current host's videos have not been up for long. Alice=132,188. Elena=112,688. Whity=109,864. Emerald=95,880. Yoon63,173. Rose61,907. Lilly52,435. Sandi=50,833. Shary=47.897. Green28,273. Chaw23,692. Sweety=19,025. Aoi San18,989. I did not include all the hosts, just the top performers and current cast of stars. Oops, almost forgot Phoo=12,000. and Alex=15,400. Sandi is hot right now according to this particular data. Chaw is a rising star. I need to watch more of Aoi San's 90 videos and up her average a bit. Share your favorite host's videos across social media and help support them all! Congrats to Yoon for leading the group and Lilly as well for such strong average numbers. I bet Snowwould have a great average,

Hi Paul - yes as you say the view counts per video gives a different ranking than the overall view count. We didn't think it fair to make the ranking on that however as it would favor hosts who had been on the channel a long time ago over those we have now. For example, most of Alice's videos are almost 2 years old, so she will have had 2 years of extra time to get views than for example Chaw or Sandi who only started making videos fairly recently. Also as you might have discovered the rule of 10% very much applies to UA-cam where basically 10% of videos seem to generate all the views while 90% of videos only get a relatively small number of views. So for example Rose who has done 108 videos will likely have 10 or 11 "hit" videos. Hosts who have made substantially less videos than Rose might have 2-3 "hit" videos videos as well but as they have made less videos overall their "average" view per video will be very high. For example, Alice and Elena have both made 16 videos overall but out of those 16 they have at least 2-3 each that can be called "hits". Maybe this is due to their talent but without taking anything away from their achievement some of it could also be due to chance or luck. The more videos a host has made the more it seems to even out their "averages". Thanks for compiling the "extra" rankings - it is certainly a legit way to look at it as well as long as people reckon in the 2 caveats I mention above.
Interesting video and the amount of effort it must have taken to put together is nicely done and greatly appreciated.
I know such a video would bring endless topics about who, why, what and how . . based on quantities of videos made by each individual, length of time a video is active on the channel, the algorithm of the amount of subscribers today vs last year, the advantage of "click-bait" enhancement . . etc etc . . ---but, I view this video like a type of ESY Nostalgia (a look at the past, as well as the present).
Kudos to the person with this ingenious concept. A fun video indeed. My favorite is in the TOP 10😀

I started watching ESY about a year ago when Sara was making her last few videos. I recognize all current and recent hosts. All 50 are beautiful and unique in their own way 😊😍

This video brings the wonderful memory back to the viewers. It also has shown how far ESY has come with everyone's passion. However, if the ranking is based on "views per video", we will have a different insight into the hosts' performances : )

Controversial ranking for sure!!! I would think later hosts benefited (with # of views) from earlier hosts who helped with channel growth. And the current format focuses way more about the host's physicality (longer length body shots while wearing more form fitting outfits) than actual content.

@@ken.cade5 Interesting idea. I think a beauty pageant could draw some attention to the channel. It would require an investment and I would guess only half or fewer of the previous hosts would be interested in participating. I think content is just as important in increasing viewership by holding on to fans and creating memberships. I watched casually for a few months before joining as a member and watching live streams. Developing the hosts English language skills and hosting skills are key. The hosts who can expound verbally on their surroundings during a video are most interesting. This is why Chaw and Sandi are coming on strong as new hosts. And why Green, and Aoi San are favorites. It is a pleasure watching all the hosts improve over time. I like watching Whity videos because she is so versed in hosting and is always well prepared and knowledgeable in addition to having great beauty. It's also why I have a bit of a crush on Snow. By the way, I am 57 and a grandfather and my kids are older than all of the hosts. I am here purely as a admirer and supporter and devoted fan. I came for the street food and stayed for the beautiful and delightful women of Myanmar.
