We retired early and sold everything we own to become fulltime van life travelers! After and 8 month van build, we hit the road in our DIY Sprinter Van to start our 10 year journey around the world.

Yes! I’m moving into a 1988 Chevy at the end of the year and I am so excited to travel!
I was born and raised in western Washington state. I love it there and love going to the peninsula Sol Duc (Duck), Ruby Beach, San Juan islands, I live near the islands, a ferry ride away.

Curious why you didn’t go to Alaska since it’s on so many ppl’s bucket list. I know it’s a long, long way. Surprises me that you didn’t want to drive the Pan-American Highway though since you’re driving around the world. How long was your Farewell USA tour? Just came across your channel this wk. Love watching your journey!
We visited Alaska for two weeks a few years back before our van life journey started! It is for sure beautiful up there! Same thing for Canada... been there 5 to 6 times for great vacations over the past 10-12 years. Great question!

Oh how I wish we did... if you are leaving the Bavarian village headed towards the west cost... it is probably 30-45 minutes... there will be a small pull off on the left next to some guardrail... it is not marked, but there is room for 2 - 3 cars to park long ways. If you find it be sure to let us know!

Do you speak Spanish?
Curt speaks so e very basic Spanish and I e been trying to learn some basics over the past month or so. The plan is to fumble through and use apps until Mexico City....then we will stay there for a bit and take an immersion Spanish course! 😀 Wish us luck!

We love love love the UP...and tell lots of folks they need to go! Curt can speak some very basic Spanish...I've been practicing some basic words. The plan is to stumble thru until we get to Mexico City... Then we hope to stay there for a while and take an immersion Spanish course! We will for sure be using a translate app for a bit. Wish us luck! Lol

In 2017, we visited Seattle, and tried to visit Mt St Helens. But coming from a left drive country, we decided we could not face the long drive. But I remember the volcano blowing up in 1980. I was disappointed not getting to Mt St Helens.
I don't like that he called his wife a dork. Not cool.

This was super! Having spent the last week binge watching your Farewell Tour and several of Curt's Tech Talks, I found this recap amazing. It hit all the highlights and then some. I, or my wife and I, have been to many of the same places but didn't see what you saw. Just another reason to get on the road again.
FYI, I must have clicked the Like icon a hundred times as I watched this, but I think YT only accepted one. Oh well, its the thought that counts, right?
Some of these places you could probably go to fifty times and never see it all! The USA is filled with treasures! I am excited for you guys to be able to start exploring!

Also, since your an eagles fan, make sure you stop in Todos Santos in Baja. It’s where they wrote Hotel California. 😉.
