    I try to find good used kitchen tables about 3×4 or 3×5 in a Habit or Goodwill.. then tile them. I Screw in half inch plywood into the table, then screw and morter hardi-backer board to it. I prefer 24×48 large format porcelain tiles,then cut them to size. Porcelain is much denser and durable than Ceramic. Both the tile and backer board must be mortored for a proper bond.They range from $3 to $6 a square foot.There is less grouting which means less moisture to worry about. I sell them as a side hustle and do very well.

    LOVE! any other recommendations for tile. It looks like the tile you used is no longer in stock. I love this color. I’ve looked for like three days.

      hi there! so sorry for the late reply- I believe they were ceramic but i have since learned porcelain holds up better 💜
