DIY Giant Mechanical Snow Globe (Snow Cube) - How To Make A Snow Globe With Continual Snowfall

- Easy way to make a super awesome giant snow globe (or better to say Cuboid) with never-ending snowfall.
Snow is my passion. I love to play with it, walk in it, draw it and just watch this perfection. And obviously I like snow globes - little winter scenes. But the problem of all those miniature spheres that snowfall lasts just few seconds. So I've decided to invent a #SnowGlobe with eternal #snowfall. Aww! And #giant , of course, - so it can be seen from anywhere in my room.
To make this cuboid-shaped snowdome you will need: 3 photo frames (A4 format), cardboard box, shower puff, polystyrene foam (or use a bean bag filling) and a table fan.
Decorate the winter scene as you want! I placed a little bird inside, snowman and fir tree with fairy lights. So at night, when room lights are switched off, I still can see the snowfall :)

Not me, I got my picture frames together, went out and bought a snowman, tree, and reindeer and mini lights that change colors and blink. , for mine. I used a 12 vdc recycled computer fan too. Its almost done. I can't wait to see it working !

You're introducing young girls to the experience of building something functional, and I think that has a real chance of getting them to be more confident in pursuing careers in construction and engineering. It's easy enough to transfer these skills from cardboard to wood and metal.
She's so cute ! She looks like a 5 year old with a twinkling in her eyes ! I used a recycled computer fan (12vdc) and a glass cookie jar I had lying around. Cool (no pun intended) idea ! BUT IT DID NOT WORK. Not enough air flow. The top & bottom has to be open. So , I found two new picture frames ( about 11 1/4 X 9 1/4 inches USA ), so I am off to the Dollar Store to get 2 more . If they have that size. If not I'll get 4 new ones. Only $1 dollar each. ! Then to start over. I have a nice Snowman, Reindeer and the Tree. I got some awesome battery powered (3 AA) lights at Walley Mart. They blink and change colors. Really nice. Hope it all works this time so I can surprise the family !
