I find myself saying that about a lot of GMOD maps when I play. Awhile back I played one that was from the first KOTOR game and it was really well done. The background was even detailed the right way, it felt like I was playing TTT on Taris. Its a star wars game just in case you don't know.
Mostly. The scale is off though. Cafeteria should be like 4x the size, hallways should all be longer and like 50% wider, etc. Everything is a LOT more cramped (in various different ways) than it should be. And while we never really see ceilings in Among Us, I'd suggest that they should be pretty high up to give a similar open feel. Plus, the beans are only like 3 feet tall, so....in a ship made for normal humans they'd have a LOT of head room.

The arguing during the emergency meeting at 16:00 makes me want to rewatch some of the old Among Us videos. Those are what introduced me to the yogs, after all!
This gave me an idea for one where everyone is controlling someone else's character, but you still win based on your role, not the one of the person you're controlling. So if you're an innocent controlling a traitor and you make them win you actually lose. Should be sufficiently mind meltingly confusing.
Sadly Source doesn't do other peoples' POV well. You always see their entire model, and only see yourself as the first person weapons (usually a pair of floating arms).

1:30 To be fair, creating 3D models of an already existing property, sometimes using premade assets, is a lot faster than one dude hand drawing it all from scratch. Especially when all the balancing issues for size, corridors, puzzles, ect have already been worked out by the original.

This map had gotta be one of the best you've played, and would love to see it again. Aside from the slightly strobey flashing lights it's awesome. Imagine how cool it would be with proximity voice and if the button teleported everyone to the main room.
It'd be nice if the meeting DID summon everybody. Granted it could be exploited for dragging people out of their hidey-holes, so maybe weapons and the button could be disabled for 30-60 seconds.
They work better in closed environments with obstacles. Most of the time the yogs just stick it out in a field, or in a doorway, so the don't work well.
Ben you 100% made the correct call to start killing indiscriminately in the last round. That was literally the game plan of everyone else up until that moment, so suck them off hard!

AS somebody who watched Zylus be a traitor with his little radar, I was STILL caught off guard by both Ped and Ben walking around the corner into the meeting. THAT was super Sus, lol
Man Duncan has a curse of killing himself with traitor traps. I mean people always talk about him and ladders etc but he kills himself a lot with traitor traps.
Loot Goblin should be able to portal after a few minutes so they have more chance of winning. Would fit in more with other instances of loot goblin too, where they are time sensitive and portal away. How it could work is basically they get given an item after like 2 minutes that lets them spawn a portal that basically secures them the round and puts them into spectate.
For once I have to agree with Zylus. With the Fool's Golden Gun, the RDM rule doesn't really stand anymore. Killing someone randomly with the FGG is RDM.

I have an idea for a new role: hunter {traitor, phantom balance, old assassin} .... At the beginning of the round all players receive a message: is on the list of assassin [50% damage bonus] [revealeing information for the possibility of creating forces against him as a balance] also continue in informing everyone about all of his successful kills and continuation in his list. sounds like a balanced assassin right ?
So, the button AND investigating a body both needs to teleport everyone to Cafeteria, disable all weapons & lock the cafeteria doors for X amount of time, and bring up a Democracy vote that ends when the time runs out. And then the game mode itself should be closer to Murder, but where the murderer have a one-hit kill gun with a single round, that takes AGES to reload. I think those would all actually be REALLY easy to do in GMOD, right? The tasks might be a bit harder.
Wish the map should was coded like amongu, as when the button is pushed, teleports all players to the button, then voting enables, with the player with the most votes dies.

Randomat idea: Everyone but the traitors becomes a loot goblin, no buy menu, traitors must exterminate all loot goblins to win.

problem with that is that the loot goblins do no damage and they currently have rounds set to 10 minutes (not including admin hacks)
