We gave up jeep camping a few years ago for a truck camper and a ford f350 4x4, crew cab as well, we take our two TW 200 with a hitch mounts. We absolutely love it, not as fancy as yours but I am betting your going to love it. We find there is plenty of clearance to get off the beaten path and have the comfort of home! Welcome to the truck camper life, yours is a beauty. We went with a front bumper with three bars and backing. That plastic grill is 1k bumper was $700, hit a elk and it didn’t do any damage to us. PNW is where we live. Happy trails to you both. We love having the motorcycles to explore from camp and scout unknown roads.
Induction cooktops are the way to go. I have used induction for years and do not regret one minute. In fact, my power bills are lower due to induction.
I knew it would be a Rossmonster Baja when in the last video you said you wanted a pass thru. You laid some coin out for that beauty. It will give you years of joy though. Enjoy!!
As I said on the previous video. I was really hoping you'd choose this vehicle. I've been personally eyeing one for myself in a couple years. Just seems like it has everything you'd need. Period. Congrats again and best of luck.
All i can say is WOW. Everything I would want in a vehicle you have done. Congratulations. Same type of vehicle theme as " Truck House" uses but in a much more refined luxury design. Its easy to see why you have been so successful in life with the well thought out choices you have made through the years.
Looks interesting, but I'd love to know the trucks GVWR, then the weights of the front and rear axle when the truck is wet and loaded with food and clothing for a trip.
This is by far the best overland truck setup i have seen on the tube. Love the pass through feature along with all the other items you have covered in the video. bravo!
How exciting, beginning of a new phase in life. With winter coming it will be so nice to get inside with the hydronic heating system. Looking forward to watching your adventures as you explore in your new rig, congratulations Peter and Carol.
thanks for a 2nd video today touring your rig! it's really, really nice! i get your endless smile carol! happy for you guys. i am respectfully partial to rossmonster as a builder. i love luke and ross's attitude of "you dream it we build it." they are most impressive! continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
Good luck getting parts for that 2023 ford..the county I work for is the biggest in the USA and we mostly have fords in out fleet ..and brand new trucks are always breaking down and we’re usually told parts are on national back order..Nice rig though 👍
Oh! This is a sign that you are getting older, when you seek comfort for your adventures. (Joking) Very nice ride, too bad it a Ford :o))))))) have fun with your new toy.
What a great rig, so perfect for your future adventures. Comfort is not a bad thing. Be safe in all your new journey's. Love seeing your dog with you again.
This rig is ingenious having the actuators and solid walls solves the top heavy problem especially for off road trails I wonder how sturdy they are in terms of taking a fair bit of bumping about if it can cause an alignment issues over time but I’m thinking as it’s a solid build that might not be a problem. Everything is on the inside with all piping etc so will be good through winter too. Great layout and extra sleeping area. The pass through is a game changer! Double cab truck gives more space for storage or having guests along. This is one sweet rig for going on trails. Caroline your beaming smile said everything you got your dream smooshed cozy cabin and 5x4 adventuring - love the molles, it’s a beautiful beast! Well you’ve given me something to aspire to but have to win Lotto first lol 😂 I so can’t wait to catch up on the paces you’ve put her through and the recent upgrades you’re getting done… snug as a bug in a truck - woohoo 🙌🥰
Awesome video as always Epic Family Road Trip. Congratulations on your new rig Carol is smiling from ear to ear thinking about all the delicious food she can cook in totalled comfort. Can't wait to see all the new epic adventures.
Reminds me of my in-laws. As soon as the last child left the nest, they completely remodeled their house (which had been unfinished for twenty years) got rid of two whole rooms of stuff they had been hoarding in the living room and basement. So before their four kids shared two bedrooms and an unfinished bathroom and now the parents had two band new bathrooms and extra living room, all new appliances an office and three bedrooms.
Excellent. My wife and I have been on a similar journey and we really appreciate all the research you have done. We have been trying to find the perfect mix of comfort and adventure. Last year we towed our Ford Raptor behind a 40' super C. They idea was the Super C was our base camp and we could do some off-roading in the truck (which also has a Go Fast Camper). This just proved to be too much and I hated driving the Super C. So we sold the Super C and bought a similar Mercedes C class that you have, great flexibility and drivability but we have lost our off road capabilities and the power required to tow our truck. I'll be watching with great curiosity how you make out with this new awesome rig. I hope I get to see it in person when you get back up to the cabin - hopefully I'll see it parked at Ramako's one day!
Excited for you guys!! I noticed when he was giving you the tour of your electrical system, that he told you you’d never have to worry about doing anything with the solar charge controller. I hope he explained to you that if you do shut off your battery system, be sure to also shut off the breaker to your solar charge controller, otherwise the charge controller will have nowhere to send the power that it is receiving from the panels and you’ll damage your charge controller. It’s all a lot to take in when you have the walk round, but I’m sure they gave you another thorough explanation and you guys have an off grid system at your cabin, so you probably know all that already 😁
Oh boy oh boy oh boy, you guys are going to love that truck and it’s a Ford even better and that cab very nice I am definitely jealous 😊😊😂😂 ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
Wow! Now that's a vehicle. Good thing that you got a Ford, it is a dependable base. I have an F250 diesel 4x4 super cab with a short bed. I use it as both a camper and truck. I have a slide in camper when I don't need to take the Jeep(s). I would keep some spare DEF for just in case. Since you will be far from cities. Also every time you fill up check your DEF level. Most fuel stations that support truckers will have DEF at the pump. But you can buy it at any auto parts store, I've noticed that some regular stations sell it in boxes in the store. I like Blue DEF. Have a good time in the truck. I hope to you "down the road". God Bless safe travels.
This looks amazing! It just needs some EFRT graphics to personalize it and it looks ready for some new adventures! Have fun, enjoy, and keep on sharing your travel stories with us 😊!
@tree, 2003, after a half-century of make-do camping in lesser rigs, we built our ExpeditionVehicle. Minimum complexity, maximum resilience: * zero plumbing * one 12vdc cable for the interior * zero 120vac/240vac. . And somehow, we manage without an Entertainment Center, wine-chillers, electric fireplace.
I love your new home , travel, and absolutely durable transportation you guys should be OK safety was definitely put in to this project building this travel truck. Hope you have a wonderful time. Love all you guys.❤
Looks like a nice rig, but very surprised at the lack of outside storage availability. Unfortunate problem with pop-top campers is the short door. How is the dust leakage into the camper on gravel roads with the pop-top style? Price is very prohibitive and hopefully includes the price of the truck/chassis.
Carol's smile is all that needs to be mentioned😀 congratulations it's super super awesome 🎉
Thank you 🙏🏻

11/20/23 - Love that new FORD Camper ! What a nice vehicle ! Hope it serves you well.

Two words come to mind"Bad Ass". Carol's smile is infectious.
No way!!! That’s super cool. Congrats on the new rig!!
Thanks Shaun.
That is a very well layed out unit. Very impressed.
As I said on the previous video. I was really hoping you'd choose this vehicle. I've been personally eyeing one for myself in a couple years. Just seems like it has everything you'd need. Period. Congrats again and best of luck.
It's like a home away from home has all amenities that you need for overlanding I love it
That is a fantastic new rig!..I wish you and the family all the best of luck with it. Happy trails and thank you for taking us with you. God bless.

WOW, . I'm impressed with the engineer of the camper. So many great features.
I think this is the best realistic build I've seen yet! Awesome!
Looks interesting, but I'd love to know the trucks GVWR, then the weights of the front and rear axle when the truck is wet and loaded with food and clothing for a trip.
@rd4,
Good point.
Our ExpeditionVehicle:
* GVWR : 29,000#.
* weight across the scale : 14,000#.
* cargo capacity : about seven ton.
This is by far the best overland truck setup i have seen on the tube. Love the pass through feature along with all the other items you have covered in the video. bravo!
So happy for the two of you! 🎉 ENJOY! Following your adventures. Shalom! ☺️

@@EFRT i just saw your rig on a rossmonster tour video with phillip. ☺
Good luck getting parts for that 2023 ford..the county I work for is the biggest in the USA and we mostly have fords in out fleet ..and brand new trucks are always breaking down and we’re usually told parts are on national back order..Nice rig though 👍
Fingers crossed!

I’m getting older and thinking a lot about something like this vs my 4Runner, so it’s definitely not a joke…
Awesome rig, they sure thought of everything! Can't wait to see what adventures y'all get into this winter!

Congratulations, enjoy that new ride.
It’s beautiful! Great choice guys. Ford all the way here as well. Reliable vehicles. Always!
Not the diesels unfortunately. Poor choice.

Maybe after a us$10,000 aftermarket 'bullet-proof'?
I still prefer a Cummins 8.3 mechanical...
...in a much stouter foundation.
Congradulations on this guys! What an amazing vehicle with so many new possibilities - and comforts! May your adventures in it be incredible 👍
Congratulations on your new Camper.I can't wait to see you on new chapter. I've been a big fan of the Rossmonter build.

THAT IS SOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!! Can’t wait for the next adventure!!!!!
My Add might effect me holding all this info. How excellent!
Congrats to you and the family, that is a great overlander for sure. Enjoy every mile and camp, can’t wait to share the journey with you guys.

We have had no dust or water leakage in the truck so far. This truck has the extended door, which makes it a full size entryway. Thanks for watching.
What an awesome rig! Best wishes on your new adventures
Nice rig may it last a long time can't wait to see more
Woo hoo! Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
That pass through is great. Show us more of it from inside the truck!
what a shame they didn't fix a proper 12v conversion of the starlink, will lover the watt usage as well.
That thing is THE BOSS. Love it. Congrats
What a wonderful machine 😍.
Dream rig. Congrats
Coolest off-road vehicle I've ever seen congratulations very excited for your family
Thank you!
You're very welcome you are a wonderful family and I love all your videos
