amazing sound Joe , the bastery sound very BIG , i hear demo in my studio from this video , and let me say you sound everthink amazing , viva WARM A !!!!
amazing series joe! I can't thank you enough for going through the drum tracking details! This video did exactly what it was supposed to do. I just purchased 3 fet jr mics after watching this to use on room and kick outside. One question... What is everything being recorded through conversion wise? I seems like the trident board was just monitoring but what was doing the converting?
Roy Cox thanks for the kind words Roy. Glad you are enjoying the show. You are correct, I was primarily using the console just for monitoring. The converters in that room are the latest Avid IO series.
hey joe. amazing tutorial! I know you do a ton of work with warm audio but I'm looking to invest in a set of room mics for my kit recording and although my room isn't as fantastic as the room in this video, would you recommend the 47jr pair or is there another set of stereo mic for this application. whats your absolute favorite?
does anyone else find it funny how hard they avoid saying the product they're modeled after? Like "German 84 mic" its a neuman! we get it! Just say it! The 73 is a Neve! Why avoid saying it?
Because of copyright/trademark issues. They may be opening themselves up to legal action from Neumann themselves. You probably could get away with mentioning them by name, but with extremely heavy caveats lest the lawyers try and sue the pants off you.
Great series! The 47jr on the toms is a great tip! Gotta try that one when I get a pair
“The drummer, the musicians” - did anyone else notice that line ? 😂

I love the 47Jrs and 87s on room mics!
@@InTheMixJoeCarrell thanks so much for your reply!
By the way, Joe's being very polite. The ribbon mic that he was referring to as a "junk mic"....yea...it's called a "dick mic".
Why didn’t we get to hear all the mikes?
