Hello. I have an attibute table with coordinates and some others features. How can i add in attribute table new points with coordinate and others features from an excel but in the same layer not in a different layer?
Create a new layer using excel file, say layer A. You already have old layer, say layer B. Now, using merge or append tool, input layer A and B. The output will be one layer containing information of both layer. Using merge tool: ua-cam.com/video/K7taKodrjcM/v-deo.html
@@JustLearnCivil I saw you video in the link. I understand what happened. You join 2 layers into one so they have the same atttibute table. Thank you very much for the help.
@@JustLearnCivil Hello. I have a problem with merge tool. I can't do it because i have this message after the running "All layers must have same geometry type! Encountered a No geometry layer when expecting a Point layer." What is this?
Hello. I followed the steps of the video but it doesn't created a point layer. It is created a text file. I put a Geometry CRS. I can not find the problem. What might have been wrong?
Are your coordinates correct and matches with the CRS? Did you correctly choose which is Easting and northing? In the preview, did you get correct result? If yes, then you will get point imported from csv.
Hi, has anyone an idea how I can import coordinates from Google Maps? I have a CSV-file with coordinates in decimal degree form and no matter what point I take (USA, Europe or Asia), they all end up in the ocean close to Ghana. Example for Munich is (48.135953, 11.576157) What do I do wrong?
From google, earth choose points and then export the points in xml or kmz format. Now when you import the file in google earth or GIS, you will see those locations. If you have coordinates from other source, you need to verify datum.
The example used here uses Projected coordinate system whose origin is so chosen that it always remain positive. To insert points by negative latitude, simple enter negative latitude and you will have geographic coordinate.
Wahhh!!! Thank you so much! I've looked at a lot of UA-cam channels, and yours is the only one that helped me! Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback
Thank you, this worked well for me and was a really simple approach!
Welcome
Big help, thanks ........ How do you show the "id"/label of the points taken ?
please
Right click on layer name>g to properties> label tab>show label by choosing different style
Is there a way to add point by point without going through excel? Thank you!
Would be much better with accompanying audio explanation
How do i add lines in this coordinate points
Was helpful. Thnks
Thank you for feedback.

Is there a way to change the coordinate points after importing it to qgis?
Do you know how can I add points over a map? I'm trying to map gull nests in my town to do nearest neighbour analysis. Thank you
Do you want to save point type file and map(vector file with polygon, line and point type) in one file?

The mistake was in my csv file. I used comma as decimal separator instead of dot.
Thanks a lot @@JustLearnCivil !
