Reverse is good for getting out of binds and not running after it to pull it out. But somethings it gets stuff in reverse, and you have to take it apart and clean the grease and put new grease... and the gears are thinner. I am at a point where I prefer the reverse delete over having a reverse. For the reverse you need a 3ch Tx and a dedicated servo. It does not affect speed really. Not for bashing anyway.
