- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- In this video, I will share three tips on how to beat the tennis player who try to BLAST their opponents off the tennis court. When you don't have the time to back up to give yourself time, you need to keep a LOW BASE, potentially adjust your swing AND be smart about what you can and CANNOT do with that ball. This is the video for you if you want to BEAT the Power Hitter!

This channel has the most practical advice to handle each situation in a short format. better those other channels who go on and on about technique for 40 minutes.
They always hate variety!! I never give them the same ball. Vicious slice and taking it on the rise.
I recently played a friendly game with a professional Korean player , on the UC Berkeley courts , my game is all power , my opponent anticipated my shots , used my power against me ,
Great tips
The most annoying power hitters to me are the ones that are heavy spin power hitters. Flat power hitters are easier to deal with since the ball has less action on it, you just need to get to the ball on time.
Agree. Fortunately, those type of hitters are so few at the recreational level. Some hit too much spin and clearance, but lack pace and sometimes, depth. Those are pushers, which are also very tough to play against.
funny you guys saying “annoying”. those player are legends even in the recreational level. it’s a nice challenge. and if you’re finding it not fun to play against them, you’re probably in the wrong level.
@@brunol.6990 so I can't say anything is annoying to me? hahaha. saying someone with a heavy topspin is a legend just because of it is ridiculous. It's a style, not a level. I've demolished and have been demolished by these type of players. It annoys me especially since I don't see them often in the US so when I do (usually when I travel to Brazil), I'm not used to and it's tricky, kind of like playing lefties.
I hate the "good" flat hitters, especially those hitting very angled cross balls with no bounce, really hard to get on time.
Thanks, these guys break my timing.
smart and well explained 👌
Glad you liked it
Muito bom 👍
Great tips!
Hope they help you on the court!

HUSH!
I am this heavy hitter. Don't tell 'em how to keep the rallye longer. I hate long rallyes.
Haha, case in point :)
But look at it from another angle. Now you can use Meike Babel her other videos on how to deal with players that keep hitting back. She has good tips on volleys as well. Seems like her videos are made for your game ( and for many others). Love the channel!
@@johanvandriest9102 Egg-shoully not. Her advice is more focused on beginner to intermediate level players.
I play tennis since I was 6 years old, without major breaks. Now at 50 there's nothing I haven't seen yet.
I understand. Keep enjoying our beautiful sport!
@@johanvandriest9102 Thx, you too.
And happy new year!
