AI is a COMPOSITE..that's the beauty of it. They hate it like they hated napster..

Fair use is fine if they want to use copyrighted material for inspiration, but did they pay the copyright owners to train on those songs? If they did, then the AI companies will probably lose the lawsuits unless they have written a song that clearly infringes on another specific work.

Artists, including musicians have so little recourse in the age of AI, all they're told is bend over and and lose their jobs. I've seen freelance artists who paint masterpieces lose work because companies just generate mediocre book covers.
Five to ten years the entire creative class is going to be reduced to about five people.

Let’s fast forward to the end game. AI has several huge advantages over songwriters. It can learn the entire vocabulary of all music ever recorded, it can create a new song in less time than it takes to listen to it, and it doesn’t need money to survive, as we do, because it’s not a life form. If AI is allowed to copyright songs, then it should be able to mathematically come up with every melody it’s possible to write and eliminate all original options for songwriters. This is an unfair advantage the likes of which has never been seen before.

Sounding like a song and the exact song isn't infringement..there are thousands of songs similar to each other..in order to win..they will have to prove a exact lryic, beat, sound was used to create a song EXACTLY as a song that's copyrighted..I'm no legal expert but I think the RIAA has a impossible case to prove..voices furthermore aren't copyright protected..if it were it would be illegal to speak unto a answering machine..the beat of a guitar the bang of a drum is not protected..what they are afraid of most is the fact if they lose anyone with a computer could give thrm stiff competition that scares them out of their minds..

If you expose a human to a particular music style, and teach that human what is good and what is not, what is music and what is noise.... Eventually you ask that human to write a song, and he'll write something based on what he knows. What's the difference?

1️⃣Steal Like an Artist; 2️⃣Show Your Work; 3️⃣Keep Going. Like Vanilla Ice, this just needs to get fast tracked to court/arbitration for the discovery.

@@SethHoward-uf5ek as eluded, like the FTC Adobe Dark Patterns action, the discovery will be the illuminating part ahead. As Cleo Abraham realized in her generative ai video, the folks that have time studied in music will have a leg up. The way Leonardo Da Vinci has less than 10 primary oil paintings but reams of notebooks in study that are the true gift to the future.
