Grand Justice Gormayne, the judge with guts as a wig. I love him so much, I started Flesh-Eater Courts as a faction because of him. Cant think of a better compliment for a mini than that.
My favorite model that was revealed this year is Ushoran, the Summer King, Mortarch of Delusion, but he hasn't been released yet. Just a fantastic miniature. The whole faction is captured perfectly in his sculpt it's wonderful. As far as minis that were revealed and released this year I think it would be Pontifex Zenestra, Matriarch of the Great Wheel
a lot of great minis this year, i actually originally assumed id be picking angron as my favourite, but once i looked through the list i realised tahlia vedra was without doubt my favourite
For me Abhorrant gorewarden 😂 is the best. Big fan of old Warhammer fantasy here and I always loved the theme of strigoi vamipres so this one is absolutely the best one for me 🎉
Plenty of good options this year. Ushoran might have won out for me, if he had released with the rest of the range this year, for the simple fact that he made me even consider a horde of blood thirsty cannibals when I don't even like ghouls. Maw-grunta Tuskboss and Harbinger of Decay were close... but I love the good ol Saurus Warriors refresh too much. It's everything I could of wanted.
The Harbinger is an incredible model - it has such a great presence to it. Also, the Lion's helmet-under-a-hood look was clearly inspired by Doctor Doom.
Tahlia Vedra has to be my favorite single mini this year, but while there is no real centerpiece for me, the new Seraphon refresh is fantastic. My perfect army. But yeah, Harbinger of Decay and Norn Emissary are amazing.
For Angron, you have the option to have him mostly bare, you dont really have to use the 'metal cowl'. I think the only armor that are built into the model are the legs and the base of his backpack unit that has his braintubes. With some sculpting you can even skip the gauntlet. Also, my best model goes for the apothecary biologis. They look so great in dirty white. Simple, not too busy but still oozes grimdark style.
There's one new Terminator in the Lev box, and combat patrol that looks like he's simply stomping forward, powerfist arm slightly back, bolter arm swinging forward, it's just so imposing. A very simple sculpt, but for me, one that works to perfection.
For me the Harbinger of Decay is the overall number one, and it's not even close. And I'm not normally a fan of Nurgle models. Of your 40k picks I'd go for Farsight. Primarchs don't do much for me and neither do Tyranids in general. I'm not usually that bothered by Tau either I suppose, but the pose on the Farsight model elevates it.
I found Warhammer 40K in the early 90’s, but didn’t start collecting until 2001. Since then I’ve been obsessed with the Dark Angels. In 2023 Gamesworkshop created an absolute masterpiece. His name is Lion El Jonson. Love the different head options, the kit is a masterclass in design and engineering. He was an absolute joy to build. My favorite GW model……..ever.
Normally I agree with you 100% but I gotta go with the lion.he just so perfectly captures the character in lore.also I don’t particularly like the dark angels so this is a surprising choice for me.
Hey Kirioth, I just wanted to write a thank you for this. You have a great way of describing models that make me see them in a new way. So you might think your rambling but dude, you make sense to me at least! My vote? I'll go with the Harbinger.
Ushoran if we're counting reveals that haven't been released. Harbinger of Decay if we're only counting models that were revealed and released. I play both games, but I think AoS quality has been way above 40k recently.
I might be biased because I collect T'au, but I'm going with Fulgrim as the best 40K model. Whilst O'Shovah may be a phenomenal model, it lacks the personality of Fulgrim's final form, though The Lion is a solid and beautiful model. I'm not massively into AoS, so not as familiar with the models, but I'm going with the Freeguild Cavalier Marshal. All of the Cities of Sigmar stuff is good, but this personifies the joy.
Too many good models. I only look at the 40k stuff and thinking of a favourite model of the year is hard. 1. The lion 2. Vashtor 3. Farsight 4. Angron 5. The norn emissary
The new Rough Riders for me. Unfortunately they’ve come too late for them to sell well. Guard is just a mess since they buggered around with how they work. But they did an amazing job on the sculpts.
Harbinger of Decay, by a country mile. I strongly dislike Eternus but the Chaos Lord alternate build is great. 40k Its Angron for sure. I appreciate the artistry of the Lion model but its not for me.
First thing coming to mind is the Maiden on Unicorn they just revealed for Old World. Not only is it a Great Mini and represents a Way back to Bretonnia- a win in itself: The Model itself just LOOKS like a piece of Art, even if there was no Game behind it
That'd be mine. It's not got even the slight whiff of AoS to her, being perfectly fitting to Warhammer Fantasy as it was, but just with today's level of extra sculpting quality.
Fulgrim Transfigured was the best model. People are just sleeping on it because it's resin. It's stupid that it wasn't even the voting options for GW themselves.
Nothing much has done it for me from GDubbs this year, it all seems like slop which cribs from other sources for me to care too much. I'm more interested in in Warlords 2000AD ABC Warriors game, especially, Joe Pineapples and Black blood models when they're finally shown off on YT...
The fact that Fulgrim isn't on the list is a travesty (or at least he wasn't when I voted), but absolutely fair because He would have swept completely.

Serious price tag too, ouch!
harbinger of decay for me is the best this year, for 40k probably the lion, but now i just remembered the epic psi-titan
Grand Justice Gormayne, the judge with guts as a wig. I love him so much, I started Flesh-Eater Courts as a faction because of him. Cant think of a better compliment for a mini than that.
I think he isn't listed this year, because he will release early next year

For me Abhorrant gorewarden 😂 is the best. Big fan of old Warhammer fantasy here and I always loved the theme of strigoi vamipres so this one is absolutely the best one for me 🎉
Deathleaper deserves at least a honorary mention for me
Thalia Vedra is amazingly tooled and great to work/paint with

I picked the epic space marines! The detail on those little fellas is unreal and something big always wins!
The Harbinger is an incredible model - it has such a great presence to it. Also, the Lion's helmet-under-a-hood look was clearly inspired by Doctor Doom.

Harbinger of Decay, and it's not even close.
Discounting that, I do also love the Rabble Rowza for being such a hooligan.
Harbinger of Decay had my vote, it’s perfect

Norn Emissary definitely wins 40k for me.
But AoS ends in a tie between Harbinger of Decay and the new Mortarch of Delusion, Ushoran.
Normally I agree with you 100% but I gotta go with the lion.he just so perfectly captures the character in lore.also I don’t particularly like the dark angels so this is a surprising choice for me.
Was the Crab this year or last year? For AOS I pick the Lord Solar Leontus... lol

Ushoran has already won 2024 tbh
@@Kiriothunless fulgrim comes
@@Jason-gq8fohe always does
Harbingder of decay & The Lion for me , just an amazing year of releases from GW
I voted Belthanos and I've never touched an AoS model. That big bug is just magnificent.
Tahlia was my vote but i also really liked the gorewarden
My top 5
5. Norn emissary
4. Talia vedra (and the whole city's of Sigmar range)
3. Vashtor
2. The lion
1. Angron
Honorable mentions: harbinger of decay, maw grunta, screamer killer
Harbinger of Decay, the rest is no competition.
Agree the norm emissionary should have been super heavy size
I might be biased because I collect T'au, but I'm going with Fulgrim as the best 40K model. Whilst O'Shovah may be a phenomenal model, it lacks the personality of Fulgrim's final form, though The Lion is a solid and beautiful model.

1. The lion
2. Vashtor
3. Farsight
4. Angron
5. The norn emissary
I've gotta give it to the new genetic lictor. It's a perfect upgrade with a really fun amount of customisation
Personally I was the most excited for Commander Farsight. I don't even play Tau and I just thought it was a faction defining piece of design.
The new Rough Riders for me.
Unfortunately they’ve come too late for them to sell well.
Guard is just a mess since they buggered around with how they work.
But they did an amazing job on the sculpts.
It would be the Norn Emissary.......but i LOVE the Neurotyrant. And for AOS, it's by far Ushoran.
It’s the Lion.
A human model that captures both the essence of a knight and a primarch, and actually has four good head options
I just picked the goblin. After the crab didn't win, I've lost any illusion that it isn't fixed anyway. lol
My vote was easy... KO enthusiast here and we had Tork Lenssen with his ironclad model in hand!
I chose Tahlia Vedra. GW has never done a fantasy beast so well before. The lion mane, the wings, everything screams chimera.
Farsight takes the cake this year for me.
My faforitt was da sneakygitt boss Snikrod!❤
Deathleaper and Skatros are the best no further questions st this time thank you
What abut the king from the flesh eater courts? He looks amazing
Agreed. Agreed. The harbinger wins for being like the classic artwork
Gotta go with Angron
He is just so perfectly brutal looking. Every aspect of him is clearly made for killing.
My favorites of 2023 are
1 Brute Ragerz
2 Raptadon Hunters
3 Ogroid Theridons
Easy choice, Angron gets my vote
Kirioth, best youtuber of 2023!
What about your specialist games favourite?
Thats Monday's video!
GW knocked it out of the park this year for model design.
For the most part.
*glares at Sydonian Skatros in the corner*
Hey, don't bully our Long King
The daemon Fulgrim model is obviously the best. It might be the best model I ever saw.
thanks
Bit of a sleeper hit, but I *really* like the new Hormagaunt models
Lion is my favorite though
Lord Kroak! A floating mummified frog. Perfection. That being said, I voted for Angron
Vashtorr is the only sensible choice
Harbinger of Decay, by a country mile. I strongly dislike Eternus but the Chaos Lord alternate build is great. 40k Its Angron for sure. I appreciate the artistry of the Lion model but its not for me.
There’s a criminal lack of Vashtorr in this video.
Norn emissary or Ushoran (if he counts)
no slann or cavalier marshall? you sir are insane!
Eternus looks like he belongs on the cover of a Finnish Death Metal album 😅
Vashtor. It’s a steampunk demon, nuf said
Why is nobody talking about the
DESOLATION SQUAD
Lol
Not seen the tombs kings leak for old world?
I kinda forgot that they brought back Lion John until I watched this lol. The Norn Emissary is hotter anyway
That's a cool shirt you've got on.
All the brain matter on the new nids is definitely a turn off for me. Though you could just green stuff it into smooth under plates.
First thing coming to mind is the Maiden on Unicorn they just revealed for Old World. Not only is it a Great Mini and represents a Way back to Bretonnia- a win in itself: The Model itself just LOOKS like a piece of Art, even if there was no Game behind it

I want to say Dante since its inspired by my favorite book I’m bias AF
Fulgrim Transfigured was the best model. People are just sleeping on it because it's resin. It's stupid that it wasn't even the voting options for GW themselves.
Angron. not even a discussion.
the lion is the best model. followed by Angron
Gotta go with the new terminators
How did Fulgrim hurt you?
Anything by aos wins
Farsight wins for me
Next livestream when?
I voted for vashtorr

I'm more interested in in Warlords 2000AD ABC Warriors game, especially, Joe Pineapples and Black blood models when they're finally shown off on YT...
Hope a purely fantasy model wins this time
Gondor Ruins.
Vote Gondor Ruins.
The fact that Fulgrim isn't on the list is a travesty (or at least he wasn't when I voted), but absolutely fair because He would have swept completely.
