    I really need help. I am a new mom to a pinstripe ball python. She is about 4 years old. She has a hard time shedding but I usually keep the tank moisturized. She has always ate everytime I feed her. Well a while back I noticed she refused to eat. So I looked at her eye and it is really cloudy. I tried soaking her, using tape, gloves, gently and I cannot get it off. So I waited for next shed. And she hasn't yet but both of her eyes now look bad. I have tried to feel her several times over the past 2-3 months and she refused. I am scared she is weak . I had to also replace her hearing pad about the time this started, and also moved her to a different part of the room. I Know her heat pad is not getting very hot. When I put my hand down in her tank, I can feel the heat but with the bedding I don't feel it alot. However yesterday I got her out to soak her again. I have been trying so hard to get this eye fixed. Well when my husband picked her up, he belly was pink. I'm talking pink. But it is really pink in the very center bottom of her belly. And gets lighter as it goes out. I need help y'all. I am terrified she will die. She is an amazing snake. I have tried everything. I am on disability and don't have any money to take to a vet. I don't even have enough money for all my bills. So it is hard. But I love her and want to help her so bad. Please any suggestions??;? Also do they make an eye infection antibiotic cream or something over the counter I can. Use? Without a vet?? Also another thing, she hasn't shed since then. 2-3 months. I try to spray her tank every day but sometimes forget. I don't know if I have the temp wrong. I don't know if I have enough moisture. I don't know alot. But I love snakes. The heat pad allows me to adjust the temp. Please y'all. What should the heat be on and what temp should the tank be?? Please only let me know if you are certain on your answer
    Thank y'all so much. I really hope to be able to figure out what to do today.

    My snakes eyes were grey, he is shedding. It turned blk but now has cracks. Also I'm having trouble getting his shed off and raising the humidity in the cage. I normally put him inside a moist container inside his set.

    I took of my snakes eye cap and she had another one underneath it but for some reason wouldn't come off, it was attached to her skin somehow, is there anything I can do to fix it? I'm really scared, I don't want her to go blind

    So I’m currently looking for advise - my snake shed and I can’t find her head part of the shed even though it’s off and I can’t tell if she has stuck eye caps because her eyes have an off small bump over it that just looks like a tiny wrinkle but I see no white around it and I’ve given her baths and used warm water to brush over her face with a cloth but nothing comes off. If anyone can help please do :)

    Hey so I have a ball python that just shedded and I had to assist a bit around the head and was able to assist in the shedding of one of the eye caps and the whole head but one of the eye caps still hadn’t shedded and I have no clue how to get that one eye to shed without hurting her

    • @MYANIMALHOUSE
      @MYANIMALHOUSE  3 роки тому +2

      If you know the eye cap is still on the eye ...You could do a warm soft towel and lightly rub over the eye and it should help the skin lift alil to help you get it off

    I recently got a ball python off a friend who hasn't had it long himself he had to get rid of it due to not having the space and also it ended up being left in his garage the last time this snake ate he said was 2 months ago I have tried to see if it will take food but it rears up and avoids it so I'm getting slightly worried he doesn't know when it's last shed was but I have had a look at the eyes and they look a little cracked as well so I'm wondering if you could possibly help me out before I end up making a vet appointment I have always loved snakes but this is my first pet snake thanks sweet video aswell

      Well CONGRATS on your new friend on the food part just keep trying once a week and make sure it's not to big start with something smaller and or if you can try different prey like if you tried a mouse try a small rat ....Ok now about humidity make sure the enclosure stays about 60 to 70% humidity and I would soak the snake the some harm water 82 to 85 Degrees for about 20 mins ...and hopefully the snake will shed again soon and if it does keep an eye out for the eye caps to make sure they come off ..If you see the caps your rollin.... Keep me updated ...Enjoy your snake ....and I do a live stream on my channel every tuesday at 5 PST on Ball python and REPTILE Care and questions stop in ...Take Care & Stay Wild!!!! I hope this helped

    My snake had an awful shed after my mother was taking care of him for a month, and I never got to see the shed skin afterwards because I was away from home. He has some white edges around his eyes, but I'm just not sure if it's stuck. I don't want to mess with them if they aren't... so how can I be sure if that is what happened?

    I have a 2 yr old blood python that I rescued. Her eyes have this crinkle look to them. We were thinking maybe it's stuck eye caps. She has been through several sheds all perfect with the eye caps. Is this normal? Is this stuck eye caps and if so what can we do for her. She is a good snake but very scared. They didn't handle her hardly at all and their husbandry is way off.

      @@MYANIMALHOUSE it's a huge tank I don't know the exact size but it's the biggest one that the pet store had. It was about $300. It was my snakes first shed and it came off and tons of little flaky pieces. I was really impressed when I saw that your snake had one big giant shed. My snake still has the eye caps I'm nervous to get got them off. I also put two of the fakeRock bowls of water in his tank. Would it be weird to mist the tank every now and again when he sheds
