Pick up truck driver here- lol. I back into spots so it makes it easier to pull out when I leave. Cars think they can fly by us at the last second when we backup and we can't always see them when they're so low. So that's why I do it!

I constantly back into spits in my husbands truck. The front end is so big to me it would take me 20 min to pull in to a spot or back up and not hit anyone with my front. 😞🤦‍♂️

The reason that your hair feels thinner is bc the extensions kept your normal hair - as in the normal amount of hair that you naturally lose in a day, didn’t fall out due to the extensions being attached to your head. You aren’t going bald, you just had so much hair (the extensions and the hair that would’ve naturally fallen out) on your head. It’s just an adjustment feeling all that hair to then having all of it out. ☺️☺️

    • @PaulaOlmedo

I always thought this since every time I have extensions in A LOT fall out when they’re taken out and my hair is super thin after. Even though it is the normal amount of hair coming out I think the extensions are also weighing the hair down kind of pulling at them also making them fall out? Based on my experience anyways and the cycle of growth isn’t normal anymore since more are falling out. Idk if I’m making any sense lol but yea

Paula Miquiabas - Paula I 100% understand what you’re saying and you’re correct. I wore 20 inch keratin U-Tip Remy fusion extensions steadily from age 16 until I turned 22 last year, and I for sure have thinner hair at the root - I especially notice it on the side part of my hair that had the most tips. I’m slowly healing whatever damage I caused with castor oil on my roots and coconut oil mid-shaft to end every single night. Surprisingly, my hair is easily 8-10 inches longer now than it ever was with extensions. If anyone is experiencing what I consider mild tension alopecia (I know, it blows) castor oil has literally saved my scalp - highly recommend ladies ! And Steph, you’ve been one of my fav gurus ever since your Q&A where you let us know your ethnicity and I was so stoked to find a fellow Filipina. Damn that was years ago 😂 Anywhoo, stay gorgeous lady 😘

And here is my update.. my hair has grown in A LOT fuller now that I have also given my hair time to adjust and I'm starting to really love my natural hair again. Hey Steph! I had my extensions in for a little over a year. When I had them removed I was completely devastated because my hair felt so thin- to the point that I was crying (very dramatic). However I realized that it really wasn’t thinning- it was just the change of how it felt. When you take extensions out it seems like a lot of your hair comes out with it but it’s just the natural shedding that would have happened Day to Day. **I started using the caviar shampoo and conditioner as well as the elixir. I also took prenatal gummies ( 2 each morning). This was a total game changer for me. Hope this helps! 💞

The extensions get you SO used to having hair so when they’re gone you FEEL like it’s thinner than before but I promise those extensions are the least damaging possible! I hope it all works out but it’s definitely just in your head!

I'm glad you are taking a break from using extensions.
Pantene damaged my hair & it fell out recently. I took a lot of pics of the damage.
I fixed it in 3 months by:
    1. Throwing away all my pantene 😤
    2. Deep conditioning with Devacurl Deep Sea Strengthening Mask using a microwaved Heat Cap from Amazon ($14.95: manufacturer Tifara Beauty). I let it sit on my head for 30 min. If it gets cool I microwave the heat cap again. Then I rinse the conditioner out.
    3. Next I shampoo my hair with Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo by Shea Moisture
    4. Applying Tropic Isle Living Strong Roots Red Pimento Hair Growth Oil ($10.95 on Amazon) and then using the inversion method, bending over and massaging that oil in for as long as I can. After my scalp massage I blow dry and flat iron my hair.
    5. Due to split ends I get a trim at the salon every 6-8 weeks.
I do my hair routine every Sunday, and it has thickened up my hair. My hair has never been this thick before. I have new pictures and the side by side comparison is incredible.
You can do it. Growing your hair will take time. Good luck!

After removing them she felt her hair did get thinner through time but using her Aveda products & masks she did regain her volume & fullness. She added leave in conditioners & avoid blowing out her hair & letting it air dry as much as possible. I have faith your hair will restore itself! You’re so beautiful Steph! So I did some research on thinning hair after extensions because a friend of mine went through the same thing. Everything I read said your hair actually isn’t thinner. It’s just real. When you live with extensions for a long period of time, you start getting used to the thickness. So once they’re gone, you forget what real hair feels like. So you think it’s thinner or have bald spots but you actually don’t! Your hair is fine. Maybe find a friend who also has no extensions and just feel her scalp? Sounds weird but once you see that her head feels the same, you’ll realize your hair isn’t thin 💕

Don't worry Stephanie, I know how you feel. I had the same experience but with the glue in's. After getting them removed, I went to my regular salon to find out all my hair follicles were broken. I had to cut my hair in a long bob. They finally repaired themselves after much time of no coloring and regular trims. You look great and don't worry, it may take so time, but it is an adjustment and your hair will regain it's normal texture and thickness 😊

      @aidadada4981 5 років тому +1

SuperRoxanne27 I don’t do videos, but if you want to heal your psoriasis once and for all, you should avoid all additives in food, it get your scalp to itch and avoid all shampoo with sodium lauryl sulfate which literally strips the scalp and use only natural shampoos. And finally after you washed your hair, use a little bit of apple cider vinegar in the last rinse with the water still running. It gives you extra shiny hair and it’s good for the scalp and psoriasis. I used to have psoriasis since I was a child, and since doing that, I have no more except when I go to the salon and they wash my hair with tradition shampoo. Wish you the best. 💆🏻‍♀️

If you mix olive oil with peppermint oil or tea tree oil (both work) and leave it on your scalp and hair for like 15 minutes before you wash it, it will make a WORLD of a difference! Also try the Moisture Healing Mask by Nelson J Beverly Hills. It saved my hair and made it super silky. It will go back to normal in no time! ❤️

I had sew in extensions for 2 years then took them out and my hair has never been more healthy. It was definitely a shock when I took them out and I thought my hair was thinner. But in reality your just so used to grabbing so much hair with the extensions. The extensions really helped my hair grow longer since I was really only putting heat on them and not my real hair. Now im happy with my hair extension free.

You are soo lucky nothing too bad happened with your hair! 5 years ago I got tape in extensions and by the time I got them out I had horrible dreads on my scalp, where my real hair met the tape ins and literally had to cut out sooo much of my hair because of them! It was awful, I lost so much hair. Extensions have to be done so perfectly and taken care of so right and even then they can mess up the best of hair! I would never get them again. Hi Steph! Get a big aloe leaf from the grocery store. Cut the ends off and then cut into pieces. Once you have them cut, slice them down the middle and scoop the aloe gel out. Blend it in a blender and put all over your hair. I sleep with it in my hair and then shampoo out the next morning. My hair feels thicker and helped with it thinning out due to stress.

Honest opinion, your hair looks loads better. I personally think its like having gel nails it weakens them, but don't worry as worrying will eventually make your hair fall out. Just use lots of treatment and you'll get it feeling better, plus of course you need to get used to it without the extensions.

I had tape in extensions in for almost 6 months. I know your extensions were different but I def felt the same after I got mine out. I felt like I lost so much hair but now that I’ve had them out for like 6 months I realized it was just me feeling the difference from having A LOT of hair with the extensions to my normal amount which is still a good amount. I didn’t actually loose any hair because of the extensions. I think you’ll feel different in a few weeks when the initial shock wears off but I do know what you’re feeling!
