How doesn’t this have at-least quadruple digit likes… Highly underrated channel. I understood everything that was being said clearly, and it actually put a new perspective on after watching. Keep up the good work!
i'd say the parents in that game pushed the final nail in the coffin; leaving Andrew and Ashley to starve with no-one to rely on but each other was probably what made some of the in-game events outright inevitable due to said course of action quite possibly being the only quasi-reasonable potential choice to make.
Oddly this game in general makes lose brain cells but in return we get a very impactful story with a crap ton of messed up stuff which most of the fan base or people personally enjoy
Also Ashley have a Electra Complex, When a Daugther falls in Love with her Dad, but in this case she see Andrew has her dad. We can see this when Andrew split the money and give half to Ashley in the Cultist Party she will say "Thanks Daddy". And when we choose the Love Route we also can see how Ashley change her parents image for Andrew giving her a Lemon Muffin with a Candle... Ashley's Love is very complex but is 100% Real.
It depends on how you would define "real" If real is literally the only choice. Then yeah its pretty real. But thats the skinny of it, she has no one else and is incapable of finding someone else. Sure she has the physical appearance to likely draw someone in but Ashley cannot connect to anyone on any level besides Andrew. I'm very interested to see how the game portrays their school life because Andrew interfered. I wouldn't put it past him to do something in order to drive away potential suitors similar to how Ashley called Julia. While Ashley is more direct and heavy handed, I expect Andrew's manipulation to be subtle. He wouldn't harass the male students in her class but attempt to bait Ashley into flying off the handle for everyone to see. I would wager the situation with Julia played a role in this. It really is the chicken or the egg with these two. Most people want to assign the blame to one or the other but the truth is they both are responsible for their circumstances with each other.
While andrew took on a father role, I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say she sees him as a father. I mean, I myself have taken on a fatherly role for my two younger siblings, but they see me as their brother first and foremost. It's worth noting how the nameplate also changed as you place the andrew plushie. It changes from "parents" to "family". I will say though, I think I agree that her love is both complex and real
@pokeman5000 andrew definitely has shown that he can manipulate ashley to a certain degree. For example, ashley fully believes andrew sleeps with her every other night because of nightmares and panic attacks. But the narrator reveals that andrew definitely fakes some of those nightmares just so he can sleep with her. And he has been shown to be a gaslighter. Not really to ashley that much, but to julia. He gaslit her into thinking ashley is like this because of what happened to Nina and Chapter 3 update spoilers He gaslights Julia into thinking the threatening messages couldn't possibly be from ashley. In the dev logs, he tells her that it's someone cranking her and he clearly doesn't care. But in the chapter 2 dream, the narrator says "the audio is distorted, but you'd recognize that voice anywhere" Honestly, it's interesting that despite all this messed up stuff he does(even though ashley is equally terrible), he's still honestly my favorite character
They're heavily codependent of each other. Combined that with the fact that Ashley never had any friends and feared that Andrew could grow tired/bored of her if he had more people to interact with. The only way they could've been "forced" to be with each other is through narrative means. Which is literally how every fictional relationship forms because, oh i dunno, IT'S A FICTIONAL STORY AND FICTIONAL CHARACTERS DONT HAVE ANY TRUE FREE WILL.
You have overlooked another interesting detail. After you put the Andrew doll on the "classmates" portray, the title changes into "soulmates". And "parents" turns to "family". In short: in this path you brainwash them to fall in love to each other and end their toxity. Especially the change from "classmates" into "soulmates" and "parents" into "family" are interesting. Andrew isn't after the brainwashing just a parental figure for Ashley. He becomes her only true family in every aspect. Mother? Father? For Ashley these concepts don't matter anymore because Andrew simply embodies all that. He is her parents. He is her family. Anything else doesn't matter. You can see this also on what the portrait shows to you. Andrew is portrait as a parental figure who shows genuine caring for a small and vulnerable Ashley. Ashley is here a baby on this portrait. Small, vulnerable and happy that someone cares for her, which can you see from her happy expression. Same with classmates to soulmates. Andrew isn't just a simple classmate. He is Ashley's soulmate. The only person who understands and accept Ashley for how she is. He is the only one who truely understands, accepts and loves her no matter what she is. And that's all what matters. Everything else is irrelevant. This is the relationship which you cause in this path. Now they are the only thing what matters. You can of course resist the brainwashing by saying that they would never have intercourse. Then it will stay a rather friendly relationship. However, if you embrace it by choosing "never say never", you create an actually healthy relationship, more or less, where Andrew starts to receive more influence about Ashley and develop a good relationship to her. I mean, Ashley even respects the wish to call him Andrew from now on. And in general they become more happy too. In short, you brainwashed them into happiness. Yay!
I disagree with what you say about Andrew though. While he may look like a mere victim remember on how he acted around Ashley. When it is to care about bothersome stuff, Ashley does it. Not Andrew. Also, he manipulates her self-esteem as well. Remember the girl who was murdered by him and at some point Andrew says to Ashley that she just isn't attractive enough that someone might take advantage of her or do a deal with her like it was with the blond girl? This was an act of manipulation. Supported is this in chapter 2 too, where he stares at the guard's corpse and says something about how angry he was about how the guard glazed at his sister. He also added that he regret he couldn't kill him slower and more painful. I think that Andrew is as much manipulative as Ashley. Maybe even worse, considering that he meanwhile fakes nightmare to enjoy her near .
Hola. Te equivocaste, en el cuarto donde se encuentra el muñeco de conejo verde encerrado, el cuarto está lleno de pizarras sucias, no pinturas donde cambias las pinturas, sino pizarras sucias dónde borras los dibujos revelando la verdad.
@@MirrorOfEmotions Andrew is definitely the biggest manipulator, in the new preview we can see how he projects Ashley on Julia for his fantasies and he basically says something along this "You're the thing that most frustrates me, but I will forgive you, anytime, everytime, for you are my own piece of work". Those are not the exact words, but now we know that Andrew knows how much influence he has had over Ashley since they were children.
And family is a less specific term. Parents mean, well your mom and dad, but family can be also a husband, sibling, husband, parent, wife, husband, son, husband, wife
I get the, whole thing of "Andrew was the only one there for her". She loves him, but love is not only romantic. She could of love him as a father rather than a lover. Also that does not excuse her actions in the game. She might just have been mentally sick from the begining.
