Thank you so much for this, im a huge fan of black and white pics with a small splash of color...i know cliche. But I just started getting into photography and playing with tools an stuff, thanks again for the time you took make this.
Hey so basically, I have a bunch of edits with the healing tool and, there’s one area that I want to undo that I used the healing tool with but, if I hit back to undo it will overwrite and erase all the healing I did with the parts of the photo I want to KEEP, and I don’t want to erase all of that. Is there a way to selectively undo/erase the healing tool edit on only one part of the photo? Hopefully, that made sense. If I hit undo it will erase all the parts of the healing that I want to keep. So I just want to undo one part of the photo....plz help🙏🏻🙏🏻
Somehow it doesn’t work to save it. I follow all your steps with the brush to have the object in color and the rest in black and white and when I’m finished and press the check mark, in returns me to the looks/tools/export menu and all the effects are removed. The photos is as initially uploaded. Any ideas?
Hey, great videos! Im a new subscriber to ur channel, and I was wondering if u could help me with something. I have a group photo of my family and I that was taken at a restaurant but, it was dark and the lighting was terrible. All of our eyes have that bright yellow white color. Do u know how I could fix that? I wish u could edit it for me lol.😩
Hi, Adriana, Thanks for the kind words and for following me here. It's a little difficult to tell what can be done without knowing the source of the image, its resolution, and so on. If you'd be willing to send it to me, I'd be happy to take a look and let you know if I think it can be improved. You can email it to me at RadDrew@gmail.com. Be sure that you send it in its ACTUAL SIZE. If it get's down sized when you mail it, it won't let me evaluate it. Best, Rad
Rad Drew Photography, LLC omg! Thanks so much! I would appreciate that SOOO MUCHHHHHHHH!!!! I know that the email does that but, only thing is how do I send it to u in its actual size??
@@agegirl Most mail programs, once you attach the image, will have a setting at the top of the page asking if you want to send it actual size, large, medium or small. You want to select Actual Size. If that's not obvious then use the free web transfer site called WeTransfer.com. You can send it to my email address and so long as you put a full size file in, it will arrive full size. For future correspondence, please use my email address, RadDrew@gmail.com. Thx.
Hey Rad I have a question about getting Snapseed onto the list open in with iPhone photo. When I pull down the list there are apps showing I wouldn't use but there are a number (Lightroom Mobile, Snapseed, TouchRetouch for example) that don't appear. And when I pull down the list of apps i can add these aren't listed. I know it can be done because I have seen it on other people's phones. But nothing I have tried let's me add it. Do you know the secret? Will you share it.
Hi, Vivemafille. SnapSeed is a mobile app used on mobile devices, not the desktop. I suppose if you were using an app on the desktop that allowed similar masking, you’d need to use your mouse or a Wacom tablet with a stylus. Thanks for your question!
@@TotallyRadImages Thanks. I am using it on my desktop, but things that you do with your fingers, like increasing/decreasing the size of the area with the selection tool, seem to be impossible. Otherwise, I'm quite pleased with what I can do.
Thank you, Nils! Consider visiting my website (www.RadDrewPhotography.com) and subscribing to my newsletter (bit.ly/1Z0prlX_RadDrewPhotographyNewsletter)
Great video, your version of the app is the same as mine. It's great to follow along. I have a question, does transferring a image from the computer to the phone affect the size of the image? Does that make sense? I appreciate your expertise. Thanks!
terrygaume Hi, Terry. You don’t say what type of computer or phone, or what file type, but generally, no, the size shouldn’t be effected by transfer, especially if you use a Mac and iPhone, and are using airdrop. For pc, I can’t say without knowing what tools you use for transfer. If you email an image, most email apps allow you to choose what size you wish the file to be. You want to choose maximum size. When you text a photo, some text apps will down res the file during transfer. If you are transferring RAW files, these are larger files that some transfer methods might not be able to transfer at their full size. If you’re using airdrop, you should be fine. If you’d like, send me more details about your hardware, transfer method, and file type and I’ll see if I can help further. My email is raddrew@gmail.com. I’m traveling and about to enter a remote region where I will not have good connectivity until June 3, therefore, I may not be able to respond until then. Thanks for watching and sending your question!
@@TotallyRadImages Thank you, you answered my questions. I use a iPhone and a MAC and Airdrop, I was just wondering if that had any affect on the file size. Have a great trip.
Hi, Joshua, without knowing which make and model phone you’re using, or the source of your image files, I can only take a guess. I’ll give it a shot. I use iPhones, so I’ll share what I do. First, I check to see how many apps I have open. If there are a lot running, that can interfere with the iPhone’s performance, so close them. Next, when I have any problem with the phone or an app, I go to the App Store and make sure I have the latest update of the software. Apps often need to be updated after there’s been an iOS update on you phone. If the iOS has changed, the earlier version of an app might not work until updated. If that doesn’t fix the problem, I do a “hard reset” of the phone. This will clear the cache, sort of like cntr + alt+ delete on a PC., and can correct many problems. You can Google that for how to do on your iPhone. If that doesn’t work, you can always delete and reinstall the SnapSeed app. Like any computer app, it can become corrupted. NOTE: When you reinstall SnapSeed, you will lose any LOOKS you’ve saved in SnapSeed. If the problem persists, let me know the make and model of your phone, and which camera you made the photo with. I might be able to offer other suggestions. Good luck!
brock b hi, Brock. I’m not aware that you can change or add a color in SnapSeed. If you’re using an iphone, there’s an app called Color Splash by Pocket Pixels, Inc. that will do that. I’m unaware of an app for Android.
Mark Daniel Thanks for your comment. I checked it out and it appears that the more advanced features in PicsArt require a $4.66 monthly subscription fee. Is that your understanding? I’m always open to new apps with useful features, but I avoid subscription products as much as possible. If I’m missing something here, please let me know. Thanks again for your comment.
@@TotallyRadImages hello! I use the free version of the app. Go to Effects > Color > Color Splash > just drag the center of the circle to the color you want to retain. You can keep up to 3 colors then turn the rest to grayscale. 😊
Hi, Mukesh! You're absolutely right! Lightroom for mobile is an awesome way to do selective color. Most people don't know that Lightroom is available for FREE for android and iPhone. The color management tool has a great selective color capability. Lightroom also has great RAW capture and editing capability. Thank you!
Hi, Henry. Thanks for your input. Point taken about the first three minutes seeming off-topic, but that is all prework that is set up for the color work. Maybe I could have done that differently and I will consider that in the future. Perhaps naming it to reflect what I was going to do would help. As far as the small screen? It is an iPhone. It HAS a small screen. And, by the way, calling this (or anyone's work) "rubbish" is going a little far, I think. If you want to remain here, nicen it up, will you? If not, please take your trollish behavior elsewhere. I can handle constructive feedback, but I don't appreciate rude remarks like yours.
