I see 9 people have given this the thumbs down, I find that hard to believe, obviously they don't like a piece of class!!!! How can you not like this???? .....I'm baffled.
Hello friends. To cut a long story short, because of a technical issue with my accessibility software I could not see these comments or add one myself until recently. I just wanted to say I'm touched and blessed by your kind words and support for Tiger Moth Tales. Prog wasn't a route I had planned to take back in 2013 but it's strange and wonderful how things work out. I've been truely blessed with the oppotunities I've had since I released Cocoon, and this song is really where Cocoon all started so it holds a special place in my heart. Thanks again for such great feedback, and I hope you all continue to enjoy the Tiger Moth Tales experience. For those patiently waiting, the next album is very much in progress and I'm certain we can release it before the end of the year. :) :)
I see that you are now in Camel as their keyboardist or am I mistaken? And if you are congratulations! such a great band and you sir are no slouch yourself. You are a gifted musician!.Cheers
Pete, this pleasure is all ours - was fortunate enough to see you in Morecambe when you supported Pendragon and. quite frankly, blew them off the stage. 400 grown men (and a few women, and perhaps those aren't quite so sure - yes, all the Phil Collins gags that we know so well!) all giving a full-throated roar to just one man and his piano should tell you everything you need to know about how highly-regarded you are on the scene (and I'm saying that based on what I saw then and what I've learned since) Absolutely wonderful and here's to the next album!
@@ripplesguy1036 - I was at the same gig and share your entire sentiment (other than that Pendragon were also superb - I've been a fan for 30 years so I'll admit some bias!). Pete's vocals alone was stunning , that's before you contemplate the man's artistry instrumentally. Blown away.
This almost broke my heart with nostalgic pleasure:: it combines my favourite childhood tv shows, my teenage obsession with prog all producing a delightful middle aged reverie. Wonderful.
One of the last songs my good friend (brother in all but name) shared with me was this. I cannot listen to it without welling up or outright crying my eyes out for all the memories it reawakens of my good friend. RIP Tim, you will always be in my heart and soul xxx :(
Always gives me the ike when I find a talented muso like this that never gets any airplay. Radio stations are obsessed with bland safe lists. GRRRrrrr...
what a wonderful and brilliant musician cannot wait for storey teller part 2 camel are privileged to have such a magnificent musician playing with them. keep it up pete
A beautiful and affectionate tribute to the wonderful world of Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley. Many happy days watching all three series with my kids (and without). Freddie Phillips music, Brian Cant’s narration, the sets, the animation and the genius of Gordon Murray. Such a truly eccentric British production lovingly celebrated in the way only Pete knows how.
Wonderful. I've been listening to quite a bit of Pete Jones recently. Until last year he was playing keys and providing backing vocals for Francis Dunnery's It Bites.
Peter the fact that you weren’t born at the time doesn’t detract from your love of what you have seen, you belong there just as much as those of us who were old enough to remember it. Mate you feel sad from the nostalgia but like you say, one day, we will be together there my friend. You are a truly wonderful person. I would so love to meet you and shake your hand buddy. Keep doing this amazing work you are one blessed man .
Well, that was the easiest decision in the world. 'Cocoon' now ordered. This song is utterly imbued with that Englishness that makes Genesis/Anthony Phillips/Steve Hackett/The Enid/Big Big Train and all such favourites. If I had a cap, I'd doff it to Pete Jones. As it is, I'll just tug at my forelock.
So reminiscent of early Steve Hackett in his 'Everyday' period. Wonderful way to capture the essence of nostalgia - albeit for something never actually experienced and yet still yearned for. Pete is astonishing. I saw him recently on stage with Camel -- and incredible musician. His albums are well worth chasing down.
Peter you are such an amazing man I love your work and I really love this tribute to one of my favourite children’s TV a series, I loved all of them Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green so clever the way that you have merged the Charente RS and nature of the different series. Thanks Peter for your amazing work.
Pete is an incredible talent. I was fortunate in seeing him perform with and supporting Magenta at the Robin2. He deserves every success in the future. Just hope he performs at more live events in the future. Pete 'Tiger Moth' Jones once seen (and heard) never forgotten.
What a great song ! This is the kind of music that should be played today ! It reminds me a lot of Can Utility And The Coastliners mixed with something from A Trick Of The Tail. Absolutely brilliant.
I saw Pete at Acapela in Pentyrch with Magenta last night and he absolutely blew me away. Such a versatile musician. I think some back catalogue investigation is needed. I will definitely see him live in future. Thanks Peter.
absolutely beautiful............takes me back to the tiny little village in south liverpool where i grew up listening to genesis and drinking cider on long summer nights., peter, your'e so music is simply perfect.xx
Just discovered this, Peter and Magenta... Absolutely awesome. I'm ancient and just getting into prog after being more folky and classical... You are all amazing musicians! Thank you 😊 🎶
I watched Pete playing live again last night at The Lexington in London (07/08/16), a truly outstanding musician and an amazing guy, I'm so pleased to see he's getting a bit of recognition in prog' circles, .....also....... his internet radio show on Progzilla is also worth checking out if you haven't heard it already.
Stumbled across this after seeing Pete’s wonderful cover of Musical Box & can’t stop humming the main melody. To me, this mixes a nice pastoral quality a la Anthony Phillips as well as a Wind & Wuthering feel. Bravo!
What a lovely song. I suggest that the idiot who gave it a thumbs down go and check his pulse and check he's still alive! or did he just push the wrong button :)
Been meaning to investigate TMT for a while now. Finally done so and I am just so blown away by this. Cocoon album ordered. Beautiful music - thank you so much.
Well, I am continually surprised to find music like this hiding in plain sight. I grew up with prog, and thought it had passed, then a few years ago I discovered Steve Wilson, and now this. I feel a back catalogue purchasing spree coming on…….I particularly like the CG references. The omnibus of CG, Chigley and Trumpton was the first DVD I ever bought.
Peter, I had the pleasure of seeing you perform at ProgStock last month and was in awe of your talent. You cover Genesis flawlessly, but your original compositions are so beautiful in their own right. Looking forward to picking up more than the Tiger Month Tales Cocoon I grabbed at the show. Hoping that you'll return for ProgStock 2018!
I was given this album as a birthday present. Just want to tell you how happy I am with it, your album is on my very best favourite albums shelf, along with Close to the Edge (Yes) Man Alive (Everything Everything) and Moving Waves (Focus) YOUR GREAT ALBUM IS ON MY TOP SHELF!!!
well thank god you did . wonderful English music . powerful stuff. coming to see it all live at the musician in Leicester sunday 17th march. cant wait.
Love this song and the video - brings back many happy memories, uplifting, calming and thought-provoking. You are brilliant, by the way. Hope it gets masses of hits.

PETE, SHOULD BE ON A PEDESTAL...Priceless.
Revisiting, and still greatly moved by this amazing gentleman !

This is just awesome! ❤❤❤
Nice! Remembers me of the good old days of Genesis and Steve Hackett.....so retro....but beautifully done!!
One of my favourite songs this. Especially when I have all three programs in the trilogy.
That's the best thing I've heard in ages!
Nice I love it thank you pete
Damn, this brings tears in my eyes! What a great sound!
Happy to see that this kind of wonderful music are still made these days, when all is full of bum, cha, bum, cha , bum
to my mind this is progressive rock at its best ....
I love listening to your work Peter. This is as excellent as always.
Extraordinario. Anthony Phillips en sus mejores tiempos pasado por la sensibilidad y musicalidad de Pete Jones. Un placer. Gracias Pete.

What hidden talent you had lurking behind the reality TV appearances with your sister I seem to remember. Great work.
Surprising arrangement, I liked it very much, nice voice and improvisations

Many parts remind me of Genesis. Fabolous !!
One word: AMAZING!
Thank you Pete for this beautiful and positive music. The world is graced by your gifts and this work.

I agree. It is so reminiscent to me of the Genesis post-gabriel foursome era.
