As a German, I find it totally crazy, how popoular in so many countries, even China, that song is! I have to admit, that I discovered it a few months ago. I just canceled my old job, because it was cruel to work there in the end. Finally I had the courage to leave, not knowing if this decision was good or bad. It was this beautiful warm summerday, and I drove home from my first shift at my new job - filled with such relief and happiness, cause it was a wonderful shift, with wonderful new kolleques, and I knew I will love to work there! I drove home, through this green landscapes, and this song came on...What a feeling!
You can be quite surprised how many German things are popular aground the world, peoples are very fond of Germans and Germany, unfortunately you are less and less every year . About the rest of the story, it exactly happened to me as well three weeks ago , only I turned to agriculture and beekeeping
