- Our Kansas City Southern Railroad Greenville Subdivision Tribute continues with this video. Following along as we chase westbound KCS Train Symbol SHDA (Shreveport, Louisiana to Wylie, Texas) from Jefferson, Texas to Winnsboro, Texas. We also view train SHDA as it passes one of three remaining Passenger Stations located on the KCS Greenville Subdivision at Daingerfield, Texas! This video was recorded on January 14th, 2022. My goal is to upload a full KCS Greenville Subdivision Video later this year as a Tribute to the Memory of the KCS Railroad with the impending merger that is due to take place with CP Rail and the Kansas City Southern Railroad. I’ve wanted to spend some time on that section of KCS, but the low traffic has kept me from coming.
I enjoy your Videos Louisiana Rail Productions, I have watched them all! You are correct about the KCS Greenville Subdivision "very low traffic volumes" I have waited hours to catch the trains I have posted videos of. This line has 4 trains that operate daily, 2 eastbound and 2 westbound and most of those operate across the line during after dark hours. The DASH is the train I usually see during daylight hours. Let me know if you are ever over this way and I can give you a few tips on possibly when to catch some KCS trains.
Low traffic volume has kept me west of Greenville too for the most part, but this is some of the better scenery in the state. Gonna venture out this direction this weekend for the holiday express
@@markjl261yes you would be right, DASH is typically the only regular daylight train on this line. There’s been a few exceptions of SHDA, ATDA and rarely DAAT. ATDA2 does daylight runs too but with that being a 2-3 day per week train, they’re tough to come about. I live about 40 minutes west of Wylie so I do try to come about this line every now and then
@@RyanFRails the KCS Greenville Subdivision is a easy line to chase a train on. I need to get out there and record some more KCS Action before the CP Rail and KCS merger hopefully that won't change things much.
@@RyanFRails just subscribed to your UA-cam channel, I work as a shortline locomotive engineer for the Blacklands Railroad and am very busy with work. I would like to get out more trackside to record the Action. I am also on Facebook , any tips on how to and simulator videos to UA-cam. I want to start doing that starting sometime in 2023.
